It's sushi so a bit hard to review but excellent and different presentations of the dishes! Excellent ginger dressing! The portions were generous, the food was fresh and prices fair and reasonable! The two women that assisted us were very nice as well. All in all, an excellent sushi place. When in Brewster again and in the mood for sushi or Japanese cuisine, I'll definitely return. First time trying the food here. I ordered from Uber eats since I had a coupon. I got the #23 Beautiful salmon roll, and a normal California roll. Both surprised me because they tasted so fresh. The salmon has great marbling. Both rolls had a good amount of filling, they don't skimp. Quality quality quality. Even though the price was a bit high for the quantity, the quality is great! Awesome Japanese gem in the heart of Brewster! After hearing so much about this place I finally ordered some bomb food to go and couldn't have been happier. I ordered the sushi lunch special you get to choose 3 different rolls and I got the vegetarian friendly options: avocado, avocado and cucumber and sweet potato. The sweet potato one was delicious, almost like if they fried it a bit and gave you that extra crunchy texture with the sweetness of the potato. Way too yummy! It comes with a ginger dressing green salad and enough food to fill you up. I chose to make mine nice and pretty so I chose my pinky pink soy paper. I wasn't trying to be all extra I'm just not a huuuuuge fan of seaweed and sea flavors (I know, I know, I'm breaking all the rules. Don't hate me). I loved this place, despite it being take out only during covid, it's pretty awesome. They have a big menu outside, a little credit card machine through a take out window inside. Pretty fast to order and easy. You can even order online and pay in store, online or over the phone. Loved this place. Will definitely be ordering from here again! read more

I've ordered the 3 roll lunch a few times now and it's been great every time. The fish is always fresh, and the rolls are well made and portioned well. I usually get the spicy tuna, salmon avocado, and Boston roll, and they're all delicious. I have three restaurants on my street that serve sushi, two that are within walking distance? but I will drive the 15 mins to go here instead because the quality and service is just so much better. This has quickly become my new favorite sushi spot! read more

Ok, no ambiance.....but it's the best sushi I've had since NYC/Chicago. We live about 1/2 hr away and not even a question that a would return. I wish they could deliver - I would live on this. The sushi pizza was amazing - the fried spicy jalapenos were perfect and the Angry Mr Mike roll was perfection. Not to leave out the gyoza. And REASONABLY PRICED!!!!!! Wish they had more than beer and simple wine, but I would give this more stars if possible. read more

In a shopping center on 22 that I always pass coming home from columbia county. Staff was extremely nice. Clear soup was good, basic staple with broccoli. The tako tasted like it was quickly defrosted and therefore inedible. The octupus was rubbery. The kani salad was just meh. I was the only one in the restaurant until 8 more people entered for lunch on a weekend. Could be a one off that the food just wasnt anything to write home about. The sexy jalapeno looked good on the menu but ill try that next time. I was full off large kani portion and soup. read more

We ate here yesterday evening for the first time and had a very nice meal. The sushi was fresh and the hibachi meal my partner had came with a ton of food. The restaurant wasn't overly busy, which was a good thing since there was only one server. When we arrived there was just one, larger table dining. They did a decent take out business and a few more diners showed up throughout the evening as well. Our waiter was pleasant, even with the larger table monopolizing most of his time and being pretty demanding. Prices were fair and on par, if not slightly lower than other sushi restaurants within the general area. We will be back! read more

I am definitely spoiled given all the amazing options in the city, so keep in mind this is relative. Given location, I suppose I could round up to 3.5, although Yelp doesn't do half stars. And because this was takeout and dining in always makes it taste better. Service was super friendly and they have a great window to keep you safe for pickup. Unfortunately, sushi wasn't amazing. The regular rolls were ok, the salmon sushi was quite good, but the sashimi was pretty thickly cut and not that flavorful. It did have a good mouth feel though. I will never order here again!! I ordered 2 sushi rolls and the clear soup. The clear soup tasted as though the broth was made by sweaty socks. I took one sip and was nauseated instantly. I had 2 pieces of each sushi roll and something just seemed off so I stopped eating that as well. Within an hour or so my stomach started cramping and I was sick all night and for 5+ days after that. Looks like these are new owners of the sushi restaurant in Brewster. I will definitely go back for another visit. I liked the food and the service and the prices are reasonable. The place is very clean. There are private booths, well spaced tables, and seats at the sushi bar. The decor is mostly wood, but a little dated looking. I would prefer a more modern makeover. The hostess and server were very friendly and service was fast. We ordered the tempura appetizer which was very good. Hot and and crispy. A good selection of vegetables and shrimp cooked perfectly. The sushi rolls are standard. The fish tasted fresh and was cut to generous portions. My only complaint is that the fish was cold. Sushi tastes better when the fish is brought to room temperature before serving. The rice was fresh and properly seasoned. I did not like the chopstick selection. Unfortunately, they provided cheap fast food Chinese chopsticks in red sleaves instead of the cheap Japanese chopsticks. The Chinese chopsticks have no quality control. They are not straight and are too thin. Sushi is easier to eat with the square shaped Japanese sticks. read more

I come from California. I've worked in restaurants, so I know how everything works. I went to eat with my family we only had around a hour to eat because we had a tour appointment. Out server never offered us drinks, 20 min into seating they came to ask what we wanted when they hadn't given us the menus yet, another 20 min later they came back and took out order, there was prob 5 tables that had people, and they took around 40 min to bring our food but kept serving the people who cane after us first, I had to ask them to bring out drinks cuz they still hadn't offered. I ordered a fire ball and it only has 6 rolls and they still took forever to bring it out. Food was okay but staff needs more training and better work ethic. read more

It was very secluded and private. I loved it. Our server could tell we were going to be there a bit catching up, and was very mindful of how much she popped in, and I truly appreciate that. The prices are very fair (they have great lunch deals). The sushi itself was not great. It was warm, dry, and did not taste fresh. I had to drown it in soy sauce to give it any flavor at all and only made it through half of my 2 rolls. The rolls are very generously sized, but hard to eat in one bite. Overall, it was mediocre at best. There are better places around town to go. It's a shame because the atmosphere and service is perfect. Hoping they work out the kinks for my next visit! The bento box is such a great deal, and my picky boyfriend states that the teriyaki sauce is the best he has ever had. To our surprise- our waitress was actually the owner herself!
