I usually get one of the lunch specials - sushi, sashimi or mix rolls. They come with a salad and are quite good 4.5 -5 stars. I've also had the poke bowl (limited add ins ) but the fish is good. Tonight we got a large to go order of dinners to share with friends: tempura shrimp and vegetables (excellent), pork katsu- good, salmon teriyaki and chicken teriyaki- I didn't try but everyone else liked, side of noodles. The vegetables that came with the meals were flavorful and all the meals were a decent / generous size. The fried rice that came with meals and side of Lo mein were quite good. I don't usually eat either of these. We also got a couple of rolls - excellent. The meals came with side salad - love the gingery carrot dressing. Everyone was very happy with the food. The best way to describe this place is that it was nothing special. The food wasn't horrible but it wasn't great. The noodles that came with the hibachi entrees seemed like they were microwaved. I've ate here twice since they've opened and both times i dined in with a group of friends. The sushi is good just like any other place. I usually order the chicken tempura roll and spicy tuna roll. I've also tried their fried Oreos which is a classic (if only they gave you more)! I do feel the prices are a bit higher than other sushi restaurants in town. The last time i ate here was two months ago, my server was Kim and she did a good job but i felt that she took forever to check on us sometimes. Recently, i placed a pick up order over the phone two weeks ago and spoke with Kim. I ordered two chicken tempura rolls and confirmed it over the phone. Upon arrival, I was told that she put in an order for two shrimp tempura rolls. I then informed her that was incorrect and i stated that i wanted chicken lol. She was apologetic and offered to remake the order but let me know it would take 15 mins. I was in a rush and it was pouring rain outside so I decided to leave and order from Fancy Sushi across town (they have never messed up my order by the way) I cannot stress how important it is to get a customers order right considering I've worked in the customer service / food industry before so i know exactly how it feels. While I would not make a special trip to Florida to eat here (that honor is for Naoe in Miami), it more than satisfies a Japanese food craving. This was our first visit here so expectations for a good hibachi dinner were high. My wife had a piece of sushi which she said was okay but that's where the good experience ended. I ordered a chicken hibachi meal that came with salad, lo mein noodles, fried rice, vegetables, and chicken. The food came came quickly and was presented well on the plate. My salad was a bowl of greens with the typical ginger dressing which was good. The fried rice was dry and not what you expect with a hibachi meal as there were no vegetables or egg cooked with it and no flavor. The lo mein was ok but too heavy as a side dish. The worst part of this dish was definitely the chicken. It had a rubbery chew to it and was pale and just didn't look very appetizing. I left about half of my food and didn't take any of it home. All total we spent $51 for 2 people drinking water. Honestly Chinese take out from Great Wall in palm coast is much better than this was. The sushi may be good but the hibachi meals are definitely not what you are expecting. Service was good and the restaurant is small and clean. read more

I really wanted to enjoy my meal here but it was just not good. At all. The clear soup was actually pretty decent but it was all downhill from there. We ordered three rolls, two raw and one cooked, all bad. The cooked roll was extremely hot, like to the point it burned my mouth. Additionally, they cooked the avocado in it? Gross. The spicy tuna roll was just sriracha with a very light sprinkling of tuna bits encased in some suspiciously chewy nori. The last roll was spicy scallop and it was the "best" of the trio but was still underwhelming and wrapped in the same chewy nori. The service was...strange. It was like the waitstaff was being held there against their will or something. I tipped well because the waitress didn't make the food and I hope it's enough to help fund her exodus from that job. Very weird. Oh! And the lights are way too bright. This is my punishment for cheating on our usual sushi place, I guess. You're better off picking up some grocery store sushi. Seriously. read more

The food here is just so-so. I've never had anything that tasted bad, but it's also not over the top. I have eaten here about ten times, but I won't go back again. If you order takeout, you don't get the same portion size as if you were dining in. My main issue though is that on two separate occasions of ordering takeout, I used my debit card and didn't leave a tip. One of the employees took it upon theirselves to add a 20% tip to my bill! We only went back after it happened the first time because we thought that the employee who did this was gone.
