Walking in has such a cute industrial decor with Frank Sinatra serenading you as you walk to your table and look over the extensive menu. So many options to choose from but most of us landed on the safe bet of ordering shrimp tempura & miso soup. It was delicious! Sushi and co is a hidden gem in Duluth. I live so close by but I just went for a cute galentines date. Their sushi is so delicious; they have great proportions and a delicious sauce that covers most of them. If I had to rank the sushis I got in order itd have to be their blue fish roll, Philadelphia roll, and volcanoe roll. PLEASE TRY THEIR BLUE FISH ROLL,, YOU WILL NOT REGRET,, it's a beautiful bite of all sort of magical flavors. I personally love cream cheese in my sushi, so the Philadelphia roll was beautiful. However, their volcanoe roll was a bit underwhelming. Their udon is perfect. I'm not a big fan of tonkatsu, so their tonkatsu wasnt my favorite. I loved dinner here! You can sit at the sushi bar or at a table. The water come with fresh lime and in mason jars which was tasty but a little confusing for a sushi place! They have an extensive lunch menu with many choices. I went with the sushi combo B which had spicy tuna, shrimp tempura, and half a California roll. It came with miso soup or salad! It was a large amount of food for a great price. Lovely presentation and fastest sauces on the side plus a large amount of ginger which I always like! My friend spoke highly of the hand rolls and it was a great view of the sushi being made. The meals were truly works of art! Tucked away in the corner of an underused strip mall, Sushi & Co is some of the best sushi I've had recently. I stopped by at lunch to take away an order for the hubs and myself, and was greeted at the door and offered a seat at an unused table to order. The restaurant is small, but very clean and has a good atmosphere. I kept it fairly basic by ordering a spicy tuna roll, eel roll, and shrimp tempura roll. My order was ready in 10-15 minutes (didn't time it exactly, sorry). Everything was SO fresh and tasty! The eel roll is my litmus test for a good sushi restaurant. So often it's fishy and fatty, but this was PERFECT. The spicy tuna was SPICY, but then, I'm a spice wimp, so take that as you will. The tempura roll was just delicious with a hint of sweetness that really sent it over the top. I was sad when it was all gone, even though I was plenty full. I'll absolutely be back. I think we have found the place for sushi in the Johns Creek/Duluth/Suwanee area. In a nutshell, the food was really fresh and well-done, the ambience was pleasant, and the service was excellent. We hope we can say the same for consistency too when we go back. Japanese food, and especially sashimi, is one of my family's favorite foods, so we eat it almost weekly when we go out. We have been frequenting a few decent sushi places in the area but haven't found one that stands out. I recently started to think I was getting tired of sashimi but realized tonight I had just gotten tired of average sashimi. The sashimi today was really fresh, something that seems rare especially OTP. Food: again, I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and freshness of the sashimi and nigiri. No sinewy cuts, the combos weren't bulked up with cheaper cuts/too much salmon and tuna/escolar, but instead a nice variety of familiar and new cuts (mackerel with roe!). There was a decent selection of Izakaya and standard hot fare as well, and what we tried had good, balanced flavor. The udon broth tasted like it was made with real bonito (not dashi bouillon). Atmosphere: modern farmhouse-cafe with delicate Japanese touches, could be a cute casual date place but also perfect for a nicer dinner with the kids too. read more

I'd have to say, this place is the best place to get sushi in the area! Wonderful food and wonderful atmosphere inside the restaurant. Very clean and the employees just make you feel like you're at home! They have a large assortment of foods you can choose from ranging from sushi to udon noodles to other foods like the chicken teriyaki, which I had ordered (It was great!) As longtime residents of Johns Creek, my family & I were looking for a closer alternative to other favorites (Hayakawa, Shoya, etc.), and happened to try Sushi & Co. shortly after they opened several years ago. Simply put, we basically no longer go to any other spot when we want great sushi. We have ALWAYS found the quality of their food prep, presentation and their warm hospitality to be exceptional. Most recently, we spontaneously decided at midday to celebrate my wife's birthday & found our visit to be every bit as rewarding as any of our numerous evenings enjoyed there. There is good and bad in this review. Last Saturday my son wanted sushi and my wife wanted soup. I suggested this restaurant because we have always liked the food here and could get something each of us wanted. My wife wasn't feeling well so we decided to get ours to go. That apparently was our first mistake. We stayed in the lobby area after we ordered our food. As we sat there time seemed to tick by and after 45 minutes we got our food, we were not expecting such a long wait. Maybe they were catering to the seated customers but this was just too long for the food we got. Approximately 15 minutes into our wait we were greeted by a little brown roach that was strolling directly towards us. A well place foot took care of our visitor, but surely made us question leaving. Now to the food. We ordered Kitsune Udon, California Roll, White Tiger Roll, and a Bluefin Roll. My wife enjoyed her soup, but passed on the tofu skin saying it was leathery and tasted like the oil it was fried in. My son enjoyed his California Roll, the other two rolls were tasty, but the chef was very heavy handed on the white sauce at the bottom of them both. This made the rolls mushy on the bottom after the 10 minute ride home. It may be best to eat in here or order by phone and get an accurate time for pickup to have the best food possible here. Not sure we will return due to this visit or the insect we saw running around, but the food was still decent, not amazing as other visits. read more

It felt like prices would be way higher in this beautiful place (by the way, husband and master sushi chef made tons of the decor so ask him about those cool lights) and you can tell they put love and care into every customer, dish, and even the silverware rolls (I'm a nerd so I know these things). This place is AH-MA-ZING (can't wait to try their noodles next time) AND HAVE GREAT BEVERAGE MENU TOO (BOTH ALCOHOL AND NON-ALCOHOLIC BEVS BUT THE HOT SAKE WAS MMMM SOOOO GOOD) and may be my new permanent sushi spot.
