Solid sushi spot on Park street. I know there's many to choose from, but the quality for the price point is best here. The rainbow roll was excellently portioned and very filling. The chicken EZ bowl is an excellent lunch for the $11 price point. The chicken is crispy and flavored very well. Yum yum yum! Fresh fish and yummy bentos. I ordered online and was notified when my food was ready for pickup. Easy peasy. We enjoyed: Beef bento: 4/5 the beef was tender and tasty. The sauce is very sweet. Comes with yummy croquettes, , soup and salad. Very generous portions. Chirashi: 5/5 wow so pretty! They give so much and at great price. Fish was very fresh. If you've read my reviews of sushi spots before, you already know - I'm a bento box girl. And y'all the bento boxes here are HUGE. At $20+ for a bento box, it is pricier than other places but you get quite a generous portion here. I got the chicken bento and it came with lots of chicken, a scoop of rice, 6 pc gyoza, California roll, salad, 3 pc rice croquette, broccoli, and teriyaki sauce. PHEW. It's enough to share, tbh. I also got an order of shrimp tempura ($12). It's had a different kind of crisp than other tempura that I've had before, like the batter is different with more breading. The dish itself came with 4 shrimp tempura, a few broccoli tempura, and an onion ring. This also felt pricey especially since there wasn't as much variety for the veggie tempura. Our party of 6 stopped by on a Saturday after the lunch rush so we got sit immediately at a table by the window. Their windows open also so it was to get some fresh air on the warm-ish day while still sitting inside. The restaurant was bright and airy. It's not huge but there's a good amount of tables inside and some outside. Service was super helpful especially after we kept asking lots of questions. Our food came out quickly too which was great because we were pretty hungry. Overall a satisfying meal but be prepared to spend! read more

My brother and sister had come here before and said the sushi was good so I thought why not give it a try! We came a bit early at 11:30am for lunch but found out they actually don't open until 12pm on a Sunday. They were super nice and told us to go ahead and come in early to eat. Service was great, waitress was very friendly and since it wasn't very busy the food came out very quickly! In terms of the food, their sushi rolls were okay and good quality. I like my Lion King with more sauce. I give it a 4/5 because its good standard sushi but it's not like the best I've ever had in the bay. However, their tempura batter is really good. They do some sort of panko breading that isn't too greasy or heavy. Their fried roles as a result are also really good because they bread them in the same batter. Would come back and it's a reasonable price for casual sushi! Don't expect anything fancy though, it's pretty standard and their menu has good options but not as many as other sushi restaurants. read more

I've never actually been to this place but my family says they have been going since they opened and brought me some to share for dinner. It'll probably be my regular spot now too! Located on park street, it is relatively close and in the center of alameda. We got the chirashi bowl and two rolls as well as miso soup, edamame, and salad. DELICIOUS!! Prob the best beef bento box I've ever had! Got the ribeye steak bento and it came with SO much food: a huge portion of ribeye, two potato croquettes, 3 gyoza, 6 California roll pcs, rice and salad! Not only was the portion huge, but the food was amazing! The ribeye was seasoned perfectly, and very tender. The California roll was not skimpy and rather large and definitely very fresh. Park St. has a lot of dining options but what brought me here was a friend's recommendation. Think the previous business was "Made Pho You." Parking can be a bit of a struggle. Anyway, small space inside maybe 5-6 tables. The menu is simple - food on one side and drinks on the other. I tried a couple of items and they are pretty generous with their portions! Sushi & More is a delightful little spot. We always get (and I highly recommend) the Lion King Roll. At $17.95 its moderately priced. But the portion is sizeable. The staff is super kind. They are always willing to answer questions and know the menu really well. One time the chef even came out to answer a question from a member of our party who had allergies. I always appreciate that extra time and effort to accommodate special eaters. Also recommend trying the tempura shrimp - its delicious. Hubby had wanted sushi and suggested going here. Oh My Goodness, I have to say this has been one of the very very few sushi places that we've gone to here around the Bay where we actually enjoy the rolls. Since having sushi rolls down in SoCal, Hubby and I have had a really hard time finding a place here that meets our standards. We were doing errands and decided to order food for pick up to take home. I showed Hubby the menu and we chose what we wanted to eat. We ordered their Lion King, Bay Scallop, Caterpillar and Super California roll. Once we got there the food was just coming out and being bagged. I am so happy that we tried Sushi & More, because their sushi rolls are so delicious! I'm excited to come back and try a few other rolls on their menu. This is probably going to be one of the very few go to sushi places here until we can find more. Hopefully they expand their menu and add some new rolls. I usually don't rate restaurants five stars but I can't do 4.5 stars. I love Sushi & More for I think they have one of best beef teriyaki bentos in the Bay. They use ribeye steak and cook it to perfection. The marinade is very subtle but not overly sweet like other Japanese restaurants, almost feels like it's made on-site. The bentos are also accompanied with a potato croquette, gyoza, cali roll and a house salad. They also offer some really cool Sake drinks as well. The owner provides awesome service and you can always watch your favorite sporting events on their two TVs and I love the very casual atmosphere inside. This place is definitely one of my favorites and on my hit list every time. read more

Ordered the Salmon Sashimi (4/5) - Large pieces. Not the most flavorful sashimi I had but still tasty. Double Hamachi Roll (4.5/5) - delicious roll with large pieces of hamachi and not too much rice. Golden Gate (3.75/5) - fish on top was good but wasn't as big of a fan of the crab / fake crab in the California roll part of the roll. There are a lot of Japanese places in the area but this place is near the top of my list! Their fish is really fresh and good quality, especially for the price. I'd recommend their chirashi and rolls over most places. Their bentos are also pretty yummy and the portions are generous--I eat a LOT but would have leftovers with their bentos. Ramen is okayish--there are other places in the area that have better ramen. read more

This new sushi place is Alameda is a keeper! Sushi & More has a small menu but what they have to offer is amazing. Did takeout since there's only two tables outside. The gyoza was perfect. Flavorful and great texture. The bay scallop and double salmon rolls were sooo good. Fish was so fresh. And ordered a couple of side salads which ended up being a very sizable dish with crisp veggies and a delicious miso type dressing. Will be returning to try other food items! read more

WHEN: Thursday @6pm Wanted to give this a try during COVID-19 times since its new and the prices looked so reasonable. Was skeptical at first but can't knock it until I try it! Here's what I ordered online: THAI TEA - $5.50 This drink is quite tall and it comes in a very nice plastic container that has like 3 options on how you'd want to drink this (straw, sip, etc.). I felt the price is a bit high considering its mostly ice, and I would have preferred less milk (unsure what kind of milk it was). I'm used to just the top 20% being topped with the milk but in this case it was almost 50%. But overall it's a decent large beverage! DRAGON ROLL - $13 Deep Fried Shrimp, Cucumber Topped with Unagi. LION KING ROLL - $13 Crab, Avocado, Topped with baked salmon and tobiko. GOLDEN GATE ROLL - $13 California Roll Topped with Salmon, Hamachi spicy mayo and tobiko. I won't speak individually of the specialty rolls since they are quite similar where: - They are quite dense. I can see these rolls are carefully prepared--the cuts and how organized each roll was. Not that there was so much rice, I just think they are able to jam pack a lot in the small space and I was full pretty fast. - They may not be the best rolls, but they are pretty darn decent and definitely good for the price. Rolls usually for $14+ and even up to $18 I've seen. They all taste like what it described! Although I was only there to pick up my order, I had the impression that the staff were quite friendly and nice! We would walk by this place all the time and finally walked in, I think after they started serving beer, wine and sake. Well we keep coming back. The menu isn't really extensive like some places but I think that's a plus. It makes it easier to decide. They have all the standards. They have outside tables contained in the street "parklet" as well as adequate tables inside. The staff is great. You can take your time which we do often. This place is a hidden gem - located on Park Street, they serve fresh fish and have THE BEST CALIFORNIA ROLLS. Even my husband will make an exception to his keto diet for these California rolls. We had a big tray of them for my daughter's birthday party and they were a big hit! The ratio of crab and mayo is perfect and their crab is not frozen. It's a generous size too! Not knowing how to act, I read the reviews and "tender beef bento" got my attention. So I ordered. Regardless of the hot sake, the bento was served quickly. The serving was generous and tasty. Their chirashi included a wide range of fresh, delicious sashimi (eg, salmon, tuna, yellowtail, surf clam, albacore, mackerel, shrimp) as well as crab salad, tamago, and seaweed salad that was tastefully presented over sushi rice and with a decorative flower. The California roll was standard but portion size was good and the avocado was fresh and buttery. The Golden Gate roll (California roll topped with salmon, hamachi, tobiko and spicy mayo) also had an excellent texture and flavor. We recently enjoyed a very nice meal at this little restaurant on the far end of Park Street. It seems to be oriented to a take-out crowd, but has some tables and service was excellent. The staff was very friendly and efficient, bringing out our freshly prepared food quickly. We started with some rolls, which were generously sized and delicious. We ordered the chirashi and found the sashimi to be extremely fresh and tasty. Then came the bento boxes which were surprisingly large, with a generous portion of meat, California rolls (6 pieces), gyoza (3 pieces), salad, miso and some nice fried potato.
