Went for a trip with some friends for a late lunch, early dinner here. My friends had been but I hadn't and their reviews were spot on. The unlimited Jasmine tea was delicious and satisfying (and the mug was super cute!). We got garlic edamame to share, which had me craving more. Though they had some tasty combo selections, I went with some classic roll selections. The rolls were a tasty and satisfying. The staff was friendly and attentive. Wasabi Orange absolutely blew me away. The sushi was incredibly fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The salmon and tuna sushi practically melted in my mouth, and the rolls were packed with fresh fish and avocado--not overloaded with rice like so many places do. I ordered the King Salmon Sushi (yum), Tuna Sushi, Salmon Avocado Roll, Tobiko sushi, and Pepper Tuna Sushi (pictured with the sauce drizzle). I ordered this through uber eats. A HUGE plus in my book is this restaurant allows for customization on many things! I used the customization options for the maki rolls. You can add so many different things to make it just to your liking!! (Ex: I added cucumber to the salmon avocado roll). The add-ons were not outrageously pricy either. Everything tasted clean and high-quality, and the prices were reasonable for the quality. Portion size is on tue smaller side. The tuna and salmon sushi pieces were quite small. Personally I believe in quality over quantity, but something to consider. Overall, the sushi was delicious, super fresh, reasonably priced, and honestly some of the best I've had in the area so far. Never had a bad meal or bad choice here. A not often ordered dish but surprisingly good were the fish collars which were beautifully roast. I eat at and order often from wasabi but disappointed on this day. I had a walker but was shown to a very small table in a corner even tho i told the gentleman a table for 2. the restaurant had no other diners. I selected a booth.. We ordered Spicy Shrimp rolls and a Chef Special of a Shrimp Tempura roll. They came out very very quickly... the tempura rolls had a seaweed wrapping that was un chewable. Clearly it was old. Wasabi never offered to make it right. I love their food and will not let this incident. to change my mind. I hope they will treat elderly people with more consideration. A great restaurant! We have been many times and each time it is consistently good to excellent. Try the coconut shrimp or the always fresh and well cut sashimi. The menu is well thought out and has a wide variety of options. The food is reasonably priced for the effort put into it and the service provided. A great sushi spot in Orange! The seating area is on the smaller side but I went for lunch so there was no wait. They offer daily lunch specials which are very affordable, like any 2 sushi rolls for $10.95. The sushi tasted extremely fresh and was rolled neatly. The service was very quick and easy. read more

Surprisingly we have never ordered anything there except sushi because it is just so good and they have a large selection of different kinds including specials of the day. We went with friends last week and they ordered cooked dishes from the kitchen and we thought we need to try food from the kitchen. OK! I was craving sushi and this place is close to the office, so I decided to try their lunch special. It did not disappoint. Three rolls, miso soup and a salad. I placed my order online, it was ready at the time I indicated. Service was fast and friendly. I am not a big fan of miso soup, and a lot of sushi restaurants either offer the soup or salad. Wasabi offers both. I decided to give the soup a chance since it was included, and to my surprise it was pretty good. It tasted like a very light vegetable or chicken broth. I was pretty standard with the three rolls that I chose. Philadelphia, spicy crab and shrimp tempura. The shrimp tempura had cucumber which was different, but it was very delicious. I often miss the lunch special at my go-to restaurant, but now that I know this one is close to the office, I will be visiting this establishment regularly. read more

Was in the area and was in the mood for Japanese food. The place is a bit small but when I came in for lunch time it wasn't too crowded. Service was okay, it seemed as if the servers were trying to get us out there quickly. Also, it did take a bit longer than expected to receive our food. But the food was really good. Ordered takeout from here via an app because I didn't have cash on me. I saw them actually switch out the prep board when I told them I had a fish allergy so I know they take allergies EXTREMELY seriously here. I got the sweet potato roll, mango avocado and cucumber with avocado, the big selling point is that you can make it with brown rice. Total for 4 rolls was $20, which to me was reasonable. The sweet potato roll had a hoisin sauce that was a bit overpowering for the tempura, but the tempura itself was good, if a bit greasy. Mango avocado was a nice, sweet, dessert like treat. Cucumber with avocado was pretty standard. They may actually use real wasabi here, which is nice as it was burning up my sinuses the way the green tinted horseradish I normally get at sushi takeaways does. Wasabi is notoriously difficult to grow, but for $1 extra, I did expect an elevated product. However, the service was really bad. I expected them to update my order in a timely manner when they said it would be ready at 8pm, I got there at 7:50, they said it wasn't ready yet so I should wait and they would put it outside. So I waited. And waited. And at 8:30, I walked in to an empty front and my food sitting there, app not updated and they marked it as complete as I walked out with my food. I would have asked them why they didn't mark it as complete, as it was snowing and I was waiting in my car, but, like I said, no one was at the front desk to talk to. I probably wouldn't order prepped meals from here (saw some questionable behavior on the part of kitchen staff, damn my eyes) but the sushi station is on point with respect to cleanliness. If you have the option of ordering takeout I would probably just call ahead. read more

I ordered 3 gluten free Boston rolls. I must say I was totally disappointed. The rolls were all lettuce and most of the lettuce pieces were the end white lettuce pieces. The shrimp was so small I could barely see it Nevermind taste it. It had no Mayo and was dry as ever and the rolls were falling apart. My husband had an eel roll. It has Momo sushi beat. This place not only has high grade sushi it also has high customer service and appreciation. Always a pleasure when I visit it. Grace and Sherry always very accommodating, once you become a regular your name is always greeted the moment you go in the door. Something that Momo will never do. The sushi is more finer and fresh.
