So we have a favorite sushi place. My son suggested we try out sushi bomb. This was an intriguing concept as I like a wide variety of food. Alcohol included, our regular sushi bill is about $120. At sushi bomb, It was 22.99 for each of us, for two, and our total bill was $79.00, alcohol included. I am glad we tried it. I really have no complaints. But you are not getting fresh out of the ocean delicacy here. A lot of the specialty rolls are very sauce/mayo laden, and the sushi is heavy with rice. You can get sashimi but have to pay an extra 2.50 for 3 pieces, which I don't think is bad at all, but we did not do that this visit. We tried the salmon lovers roll, which we took a lot of the sauce off so we could taste the fish. We got a spider roll which was heavily lettuced. We also got a rainbow roll which I thought was the best we had and would recommend. It was not sauced and you could taste the fish. Get a sake sampler and try things you havent tried before. And if you havent had nigiri sake, it is so good. It is unfiltered and has a milky sweetness to it. Yum. All you can eat. Adult price just recently went up to 22$ I think? Children eat around $8-12 depending on age. Food is on point every time. Never got anything under or over cooked. Service is hit or miss, place is always busy (when I go) so I guess that's to be expected sometimes. I enjoyed a lot of their specialty rolls and the hibachi plates. Appetizers were nice. Sexy jalapeños, am I right? Their vegetarian options were also delicious (coming from a non vegetarian). If you love the art of sushi and gimmicks of hibachi, and the traditions that come along with it; this is not the place for you. However, if you want Asian cuisine with consistent quality at mass amounts for a little over a twenty dollar bill; this is the spot. I like tradition, but as a glutton, I love this spot. Except that the portions that are brought to your table are full-size (for example, 8 pieces of sushi) and you are charged for what you don't eat. So the big fail here is that if I order something new to try it -- but don't like it -- I'm charged for it. Why not just serve 2 or 3 pieces at a time so that people can try new things then order a full size later if they like it? Also, there is NO OPTION for ordering a la carte -- you're either eating the "all-you-can-eat" or you're not eating at all. But what about people with smaller appetites or those who are in a party with others, but who don't only enjoy the sushi? What if I just want to order a hibachi steak meal instead? I personally have dietary needs. Specifically a gastric bypass. My husband asked if we could share a meal because 22.95 is a waste of money and food on me. My husband also asked if I could eat off the kids menu. Now most places are understanding to my issues and have no problem not wasting time and food on someone who cannot eat a lot due to having a tiny stomach. Not here. The "manager" was exceptionally rude when this suggested. He said that if I ate anything at all it was policy to charge full price. Well I sat back and watched everyone else eat. Then when I tried to speak to another manager he again stated this was their policy. When I tried explaining my situation he talked over me and would not let me speak. He specifically stated "I don't care what's wrong with you. You will pay" Now to the food my husband ate. He asked for clear soup and miso soup. When he asked for the clear soup he was told no that he was given what he ordered. Then he ordered a Godzilla Roll. This item took 20 minutes to get to our table. And it was lukewarm. This is a deep fried item that he expected to be hot. Next was the eel roll. This was more cucumber than eel. Next was the crab Rangoon which is advertised as crab meat. Which apparently means imitation crab. Lastly was the snow mountain roll. Again advertising said crab meat and that again meats imitation crab. I went with my son and daughter as well. My daughter didn't care for the food but was so hungry she didn't care. My son on the other hand ordered a steak teriyaki. The steak was as tough as shoe leather. Then he had the squid roll. He almost vomited when he bit into it. He states that it tasted like it had been out for hours and the texture was overall slimy and chewy. I do not recommend going here if you expect good customer service, empathy to dietary restrictions/needs or decent food. Your better off going to Waffle House or a $1 Chinese buffet. read more

Great idea here. One price, keep ordering until full. We are fans. The sushi was fresh, and there were great appetizers available. Since there is Hibachi and Teriyakis available, you don't have to be strictly a sushi lover. Honestly, try the Crazy Monkey Roll. Really yummy. read more

Sushi wasn't all that great and customer service was awful, we waited so long for sushi to be made. It's a large space as it used to be ruby tuesdays. The sushi was excellent! The wait staff attitude not so much. Extensive wait times between orders is ridiculously long. The brow beating by waitress upon seating demanding we not over order and under eat was very tacky. At $22 per person if I leave a piece or 2 behind I am sure it won't stop the world's rotation! The food was amazing! We arrived at 6:30 on a Friday and were greeted and seated right away.. we sat next to the sushi bar.. Wow!! Those guys back there were flying out sushi like crazy! So you know what you're getting is fresh. Suggest- Crazy Monkey Roll and the Godzilla Roll!! It was great food, great atmosphere, great service. I Had a terrible experience here. We waited an hour to be seated. In a normal case this is fully acceptable given it was a Friday night and a party of 8 people. However we waited for another 30 minutes to place our order and 30 minutes to receive our food. I was very disappointed the sushi rolls had very limited if any fish at all. Horrible first time experience for both service and food. Visited the restaurant with a friend around 745 Saturday evening. Upon walking in and to the counter, the manager at the front did not speak. After a few minutes of standing in silence, he held up his fingers for 2 still without speaking. My friend confirmed verbally we would like a table for 2. The manager informed us there is a 20 minute wait and to write down the phone number. After about 10-15 minutes we were called and approached the counter to inform them we were ready to be seated. Still, no one spoke and we were seated at a table. After about 5 minutes, the server came and without so much as saying hello asked what we want to drink. We ordered drinks as well as our first food order, 2 appetizers and 3 sushi rolls. Another 10 minutes passed and one appetizer arrived. I stepped away to the bathroom (which was filthy and smelled) and the other appetizer and 2 rolls arrived. No one stopped by to check on how things were tasting. I finally stopped our server to ask where the other roll was. He brought it right over and it was obvious it had been sitting. The deep fried roll was still slightly warm. I asked to place an order for another roll. After 20 more minutes passed without seeing our server, I stopped another to ask to speak with a manager about the experience. The manager came to the table with the roll I had been waiting on and sat it in front of me as if this was a sufficient resolution. I told him I would not be eating anything more and explained the situation with poor service and food. The manager began to make excuses about being short staffed. I asked him politely not to make an excuse but simply advise me how he can make this right. He began to state the same thing again and I cut him off to ask for his name and how he would be able to help me given the situation. He then proceeded to refuse his name and threaten me, saying "you will pay the full price or deal with what happens next". We proceeded to pay the bill and leave, while the manager just kept repeating over and over that I would have to handle with my bank but I will pay full price and never can return. I told him there is no need to keep repeating himself as I was obviously paying the bill and had no desire to step foot back at the establishment. This entire ordeal took until nearly 910 PM and we definitely didn't get all we could eat for $55. I took a photo of the manager since he refused his name. We've eaten there many times and the sushi is good. However, the last two times we've been there, the sushi was not at all what is shown on the menu. How does one confuse mango and avocado? Or eel sauce and spicy mayo? It seems that the chefs are making the sushi with whatever ingredients they have on hand and not what they advertise. Maybe this is a supply-chain problem and/or they cannot get the correct ingredients. Very good sushi and hibachi. Service was pretty slow, were there for over 2.5 hrs and had to flag our waitress down at least 3 times and waited a while in between orders. About 2 hours in, the waitress brought more drinks. It was great food just took a while. Waitress did tell us she was new but seemed clueless on some things. Asked for straws and she gave us 4. Very disappointed. Went here last night. Tried a variety of items from the menu and was not impressed with anything. Appetizers... spring rolls were ok, but the shrimp tempura seemed like it was not made fresh onsite and had more of a crunchy breading instead of true tempura. Tried a single sushi roll... the rice was very warm. The sushi rolls had no flavor, and the deluxe rolls, even those with raw fish, had more rice, crab/surimi and mayo than what was supposed to be on it. Was really excited to go and was very disappointed. The Gyoza Dumplings are ok but I didn't like any of the sushi. Everything was so fishy. And they have this "rule" eat it all or you will be charged extra.... Never experienced that before. I'll stick with House of Kobe for sushi. read more

I wish i had read the reviews, especially from the lady who said the manager was threatening to her. Unfortunately my experience was similar. My husband had been dying to try this place so today was the day. We drove 30 miles to eat here. After being seated we were told it was AYCE only. I had gastric sleeve surgery in 2019 and can only eat 8 oz so I asked could I buy a take out plate since a la carte was not offered but dine in so I could eat with my husband who wanted to get the AYCE. I was told no, I would have to take my food and leave. We both decided to leave, we left quietly and respectfully nothing else said. As we walked back to the car I decided to ask the girl her name and let her know we were disappointed in her answer so I walked back in. When I asked her name she told me and I said that I felt her answer was not customer service friendly to a customer with a medical issue and that we were disappointed and perhaps they should be more accommodating in the future. It turns out the manager was the one who told her to tell us that and so he jumped in acting like he was itching for a fight and trying to intimidate me telling me that he understands it is a medical issue but it is my problem and I am bringing it to him. He went on an all out rant saying that in the past other people who had gastric surgery ate a lot when he gave them the kids price (NOT what I asked) and therefore I am trying to take food out of his kids mouths and that is their policy and if I don't like it just leave. I told him I would gladly leave no problem and he tried to be funny yelling have a nice day as if I was the one being ridiculous. I was trying to GIVE him business. It is rare that I am speechless but his reaction was so bizarre that I was. This guy seriously needs anger management and to be fired. If you are female or have any special needs do not go. If you want to support a place that does NOTHING to accommodate its clientele and cares nothing about good customer service ad may even insult you, yell at you and try to intimidate you then that is your spot. read more

Rice needed umami; where was the needed kelp to help provide sheen, one variety of sushi rice was of good texture, not to soft but one could feel the single pearl, others were coarse, not sure if next order would be good. Taste different glazes; but we're really just condiment style sauce flavors. But tasty. Calamari could not chew, no apology. Gave to lead sushi prepper a bone from his white fish. No apology, just look down, no variety of sake, no jumai daginga quality variety, very inexpensive bottle. The service look agitated if one order sushi later in meal a few at a time. Walked up to glass to observe freshness and cuts. If sinew lines left in, a chewed feel is given. Thanks goodness, no problem with ours. But will say never seen fish slices with 10 inch broadblade USA knives and also used at same time to open sauce containers. But did enjoy atmosphere, and the preparers deserved kudos for working so fast. Give it another chance. read more
