If you have any allergies or dietary restrictions, do NOT eat here. Our waitress was shockingly rude here even when it was a mistake on her part. Their prices have also increased (by a base of $2+). My sister had requested a Dragon roll just without any eel (stressed that multiple times) - which the waitress said could be done. The waiter brings the food (at least 30 minutes after we've already ordered), and my sister notes that there is meat she doesn't recognize. She asks the waiter what it is, and the lady responds that it is eel. Apparently they just omitted the eel sauce, and not the actual eel. My sister says that she cannot eat this, and this lady dares to yell at us/ask us "Can you even read?", and keeps aggressively pointing at the menu in our faces. I can understand if there are language barriers, but it was their mistake and she should not have been shockingly rude about it. Perhaps she has something against desis. Never have we ever been so rudely treated at a restaurant. The food was late and cold, and this staff member was so rude that it ruined our whole experience. My husband and I had eaten there before, and it looks like their prices increased. Again, if you have a food allergy/restriction- I'd highly recommend you double check your order. But I would advise just going to a different sushi place that is more considerate and is likely to be the same price range (given their recent price increase). We were a party of 14 on a Friday night. We had made a reservation beforehand, and at first, everything seemed to go well. The waitress and owners were very welcoming, seated us right away, and brought us water. (This was around 6:40 pm.) They had a $1 nigiri special going on, so my boyfriend and I got 10 salmon nigiri, 2 white tuna nigiri, and 2 red snapper nigiri + a Hawaiian Roll. A friend of ours ordered braised pork (chashu) ramen, and another ordered the donkatsu dinner box which comes with "soup & salad, rice, vegetable tempura" + one roll. (Didn't really pay attention to anyone else's order.) So we all put in our orders and wait. And wait. And wait. I don't know if they meant to bring us our food all at once, but nothing comes to us until about an hour later. AN HOUR. (There was only one sushi chef and one waitress in the restaurant.) But wait. It gets worse. So my friend, who ordered the chashu (braised pork) ramen, is brought a ramen with bulgogi on top, which is clearly beef. She brings this up to the owner, because she was expecting a pork belly ramen (like regular Japanese ramen places). But the owner tells us that the chashu ramen being made with bulgogi is the "chef's interpretation" of the dish. Um...what?? More like false advertising. Plus, there was no prior explanation that the chashu ramen would be made with bulgogi (I mean, who would have thought?!) So my friend ended up switching out her ramen for a Hawaiian Roll. Unfortunately, her roll still hadn't come out by the time the rest of us were done eating, so she ended up getting it to-go (she tried cancelling her order at that point, but the sushi chef had started on the roll.) Not to mention that my friend who ordered the donkatsu box didn't get his bowl of rice, so he requested it & politely asked why it didn't come with the rest of his food, and the owner told us that they bring out the rice only if you ask for it because people don't really eat the rice, which then becomes a waste. (Then don't put it on the menu!!) I just don't understand why they won't stick to what's written on the menu and instead try to justify their actions. As for the food, it's alright. The $1 nigiri wasn't bad, but it definitely wasn't top quality; you get what you pay for. The Hawaiian Roll was actually pretty tasty, I'll give them that. But at the end of the night, we were all frustrated and still hungry. I felt super terrible for the one waitress working all the tables; she was running back and forth taking orders, serving food, refilling water, and cashiering. I understand it's a new business, so they have to work out their kinks but at least be prepared for a full house! All in all, it was a HOT MESS EXPRESS. Great new sushi place! We ordered takeout and enjoyed every bit of it! We got the pink lady roll, mango tuna roll, salmon tempura roll, and Hawaiian roll. All of the rolls were great- not too heavy on the rice. My favorite was the salmon tempura. We got house salads too, but the dressing was a little too heavy on the mayo for my taste. Had lunch here yesterday. Upon entering we were astounded by the space. It looks small from the outside, just your basic strip mall cafe but once you get inside you will see how wrong your outside impression was! There are lots of seating options inside and out. We were seated in a private alcove. So cosy and private! All the better for not being on display while using chopsticks. You can reserve these private alcoves that can seat up to 5 people but it was quiet at lunchtime so if you are lucky you can get one on walk in. So we were seated, given menus and our drink orders were taken. The menu is large, there is a separate menu for nigiri and sashimi and one for the cooked or veg only which is nice if you are looking specifically for one. I dont do the raw so was really glad there would not be any ordering mistakes. Our drinks came and our order taken quickly. I could peek out of the alcove and see the chef preparing our food. I enjoyed that. We ordered lobster rolls, tempura shrimp and tempura chicken. It came really fast and was just beautiful as the picture will show. It was all beyond delicious. Just such a great experience. The only reason i give it 4 stars is because the soda was cans not fountain. Honestly thats the only thing that i could find to complain about. It was clean, everyone was so kind and helpful and the food was some of the best sushi ive had. I did pretty good with my chopsticks too! Dont be put off by the unimposing storefront. This is very much an experience and its an experience you dont want to miss. read more

My boyfriend and I aren't from the area, but we wanted some good sushi. I found this place through yelp and the pictures convinced us to stop by. We absolutely loved it. The menu has pictures of the sushi so you know exactly what you're getting. I love how it had little rooms where you were seated, it was very intimate. There weren't many people and by the end of our meal we were the only ones dining. Our server and the chef, who I assume were the owners, were very kind. The sushi was also DELICIOUS! As it seems there's no end to the social distancing/Covid-19 pandemic, in the near future, I've stretching my legs by both running and testing the water of take-out. Now sushi not something to be cavalier with. I mean one bad fish and your week is ruined. So I've been steering clear, but this week I ran into some fun bucks and really really wanted sushi. After calling a few places and not liking the responses of how fresh the fish is...the last place I called was the most informative and helpful. A little spot called SUSHI CAFE. It is kind of hard to get to, but well worth it. The nigiri fish types were recommended and all tasty and fresh. The rolls....OMG .. .. the rolls. The first trip last week was a simple dragon combo (ell roll with 2pc unagi) and a dragon roll (inside is crab or tuna with cucumber. Outside topped with eel and eel sauce) .. TDF Tonight's order, while they did misinterpret my order for Spicy Tuna rolls as spicy tuna sashimi (still totally amazing and fresh) .. the rest of the order was spot on and so good. The avocado, tuna, eel, white fish, ebi...it was all perfect. And the kicker...now, this may only last till the end of the pandemic, but the rolls are 50% off??? So that brought our $90 order to just half. Of course we left a good tip, but it made our day. The four stars is only for the mix up. I enjoy dipping my tuna roll in my wasabi-ginger-soy mix .. and i did get that experience tonight. Never have I been treated so rudely at a sushi restaurant before. Not a fan of eel but one of the rolls sounded interesting and the menu described eel on top. I asked the waitress if it would be possible for me to have it without eel and she assured me that would be no issue. They brought me the roll with eel on top - which would've been fine. I wasn't sure if it was eel so I asked what it was - she responded that I should read the menu. I asked her again what is was and she said it was eel. I then stated that I thought they were going to make it without eel. She said you read the menu it says eel. Continued to gesture aggressively at the menu and state that I should've read the menu. When I eat out sushi, I'm looking one of 2 things; freshest fresh fish, rice falling apart in your mouth, melts in your mouth angels coming down, senses to the max euphoria OR fresh fish sushi that satisfies my craving at great value. We started supporting this new place since November but what happened last night was terrible and we stopped going there. For once we thought we have found the place we like as food and service but let's give benefit of a doubt. The food last night was good as before but there was tension between the manager or the owner and 2 staff and the argument was taken in front of customers even though there was only our party at the time. The management upset the servers therefore they ignored our existence last night. We weren't given any attention even though we tried hard to get one. At the end I brought the bill to the counter because staff was still mad at the manager for criticizing loudly in the customers. I understand the disagreement and controversies but I am disappointed for their immature levels and unprofessionalism. There is a business going on and we were not ghosts. Get it straight between your management and staff because no customers will like it. You have lost a loyal customer. Visited the establishment with my daughter and received an unusual experience that came across as extreme prejudice. We walked into the restaurant 30 minutes before closing. We were asked to dine-in or take out. We choose dine-in. The hostess spoke with the chef in Japanese and immediately turned to us and said they are out of rice. Moreover, there was a guest in front of us - we witnessed the conversation - that was given the choice dine-in or take-out and he choose take-out. He was NOT told they were out of rice.
