Seared scalloped sushi- amazing Seafood spicy noodle - amazing! Cute little sushi place that reminded me of quaint shops in Japan. Service was good. I think there's one sushi chef but I'm def coming back!

Had a great first experience here at Kohnami Sushi. I would definitely recommend reservations since it is a very tiny restaurant with limited seating (4-5 tables). The sushi was great for the price and the katsu curry was not bad. Wish the chicken katsu was a little crispier. Service was great given the fact that there was limited seating. I would definitely recommend the nigiri combo as well as trying a few of their rolls!

Food: Fresh, artistic presentation on the nigiri combo. Great portions & value. Miso soup tastes great, but doesn't have any tofu, seaweed or green onion in it. It is very simple & plain soup. Saw many Soju(Korean vodka) & Asians beer in the fridge! Service: On a slow side as I shown up at 7 pm on Thursday night & my waiter told me it will be about 30-40 mins wait for food to be ready due to their limited staffs. Otherwise, the only waiter works very hard to give his best services. Ambiance: Modern, simple & relaxing music with mountain view. Small & comforting spaces. Sum up: If you looking for a hidden gems sushi/Korean foods in Briargate area, Kohnami sushi will deliver your crave, but might be on the slower pace. Don't show up starving!

Left to right; California roll, Cheyenne mt roll, red rock roll. And wasabi.

Very well done. We ordered a California roll (for my 11 year old), Cheyenne mountain, and red rock. All were incredibly delicious even after sitting for roughly an hour after picking them up (carry out). I especially appreciate the fresh, raw wasabi. We walked in at 8:23 because online it said they were open till 9 but signs said 8:30. They were very accommodating, we opted to do carry out to not hold them over. The service was top notch. Would absolutely return on future trips to the springs.

Simply, the best Japanese food I have had in Colorado Springs. The prices are fair, the portions are large, the sushi is excellent and the service is attentive and kind. The staff here has always accommodated my 18-month-old son with grace and attention, offering smaller portions of food to help keep meals affordable, fun and most importantly, delicious. Highlights are all the sushi, beef bulgogi and the chicken fried rice. All the food is excellent, whether eaten in the clean, cozy restaurant, or taken to-go.

Cute tiny space, amazing customer service, and affordable good food. Filled up two people for less than $40 and it was so good, and came with free small soup. Very cozy and cute

Hands down, BEST SUSHI in Colorado Springs!! Food is beautifully made, incredibly delicious. The selection is awesome!! Owners are always kind and very hospitable.

First off from my experience the place was bought out this year from previous owners, and before it took a long time to get your order but it was delicious, so at first I was very hesitant that it will continue to deliver the same quality! However, after multiple visits(specifically during Holy Week -almost every Friday) this place doesn't disappoint, the quality stays consistent with the sushi and the Korean Reymun. We haven't being able to find a place that matches the same quality of fish every-time, it almost melts in your mouth is so good! Yes! it is a small place and may get full at times, but Anthony the server and hostess will inform you if the wait is long to maybe come back another time, but is well worth it! Their customer service i will rated excellent, they are always attentive if you need anything else. We usually try to come off pick so we can enjoy the food and take our time! End result: my family and I, Love this place! Please continue to be kind, and continue to make some excellent dishes!

What happened to the owner, as I see it is under new management. Was, to me, my favorite sushi place. Had wonderful food experience there!

IMO, best sushi in town. be warned, it is a small intimate venue so reservations are recommended for the dinner rush time period.

Ask the Community - Kohnami Sushi

Do they have all you can eat?

    Unfortunately they do not.

Is this the same Kohnami business that used to be located off of South Academy a decade ago? My friend and I were fans of it, but then they left.

The food was delicious, and we will definitely be back. The restaurant itself was nice and clean overall. The only areas that could use some improvement were the bathrooms, and the trash cans could be emptied more frequently. Other than that, everything was great, and I look forward to returning again soon.

You're thinking, "They wanted sushi…read morein a city that sits near enough in the center of a land locked state that is itself in the middle of a drought? Who are these kids!?" Well, that's par for the course with my family. They'd beg me to take them to Mars and upon arrival demand we go to the beach. Well, obviously I couldn't deliver on the latter, but I could deliver on the former. Even though you could make a legitimate argument that my decision contributed to the very drought situation this state is in. Anyways to the review. We ordered dinner from Sushi Ato. We chose this restaurant because 1. It was close to where we were staying and 2. it had more than the minimum number of stars to reassure me that the sushi is fresh. Our order consisted of two Philadelphia rolls, two Caterpillar rolls, an Alaskan Snow roll. We also got a Spicy Chicken Miso Ramen and the Seared Cajun Tuna. Unfortunately, we ordered takeout so I can't comment on the service. However, I did go inside and the restaurant nice. I'm thinking great for a date. It was spacious, nice afternoon sun, lots of windows, quiet. Certainly nicer than a box sit down restaurant. What I lack in dining knowledge about Sushi Ato I can make up for in food quality, quantity, and cost. First, food quality seemed good to me. All of the sushi looked, smelled and, tasted fresh. All of the rolls were a standard size with six to eight pieces. Our rolls by themselves fed one and a half adult females, one newly minted teenager, and a four year old. As for the prices, to me they were what I expected, about $13 to $15 per roll. As for the non-sushi items, the Seared Cajun Tuna was delicious. Cooked well, with a nice pink on the inside and well spiced on the outside. IMO the Cajun spices were more flavorful than spicy (hot). The only bad part, as is the case with most takeout, was that it was not overly pleasing to the eyes sitting in its takeout container. Lastly, the Spicy Chicken Miso Raman was tasty and not overly spicy. Furthermore, when we opened the container there was a ton of food. I bet two adults could make a good dinner out of this bowl, maybe with an appetizer or two. However, our bowl fed the other half of the adult female and our second newly minted teenager. But that's saying something! Teenagers are good at bringing their A game to a table and this one is no different. But, the bowl held its own and she walked away satisfied. Overall, I recommend Sushi Ato. Is it going to knock your sox off, maybe or maybe not. But, if you're jonesing for some sushi or a nice ramen bowl and you happen to be in Colorado Springs, on the north east side of the city you're in luck! Because that's right where it is!
