Went in for half price sushi today. The crab Rangoon roll was awesome. I'll get that every time. We ordered the 007, Bond girl, crab Rangoon and spicy California rolls. They were all good, but the crab Rangoon roll stood out for sure! 4 rolls and our bill was less that $20. I got out of there for $9.90 after we split the bill. I'll continue to go back when they have this special. For now you get %50 off of sushi on Tuesday and Thursday, dine in only. The interior of the place could use an update. Been here a few times. Always enjoy their sushi and other foods. But today we experienced the some of the worst service ever. Food was still amazing but the server was incredibly forgetful and failed to bring us parts of our meal. It also took forever to get our orders in. Ultimately Shanna, the server, did take responsibility and apologized and that did help. But I probably won't be back for a few months. Really bummer. read more

First I want to say I am not a sushi eater in the slightest but my husband LOVES sushi. The good news is for those of you who are not sushi eaters like myself there are many other options. I always get the Bulgogi. The portions are very big so I always have some extra for home later. We ordered four rolls - three of them were just average, but the ultimate shrimp roll was pretty awesome - I would highly recommend trying it while you're there. Pretty decent food here! I had the caterpillar roll and rainbow roll. Caterpillar roll is made with Don's special sauce, and honestly it's a bit much. Too salty for my taste. Rainbow roll was a bit flavorless, definitely needed soy sauce. The nigiri was good and well seasoned, but really tiny. Two pieces of salmon nigiri was $5.50, which was not worth it in my opinion. This is, by far, my favorite Asian restaurant in the Lafayette area. The sushi, in the past four times that I have been here, has been consistently fresh and delicious. The prices are reasonable, and if you are able to make it to their happy hour, it's even better. My personal favorite special roll is the Lion King and all the basic rolls have been exceptional as well. If you are looking to get a dish other than sushi, I would recommend either the Bimbimbop or the Bugolgi plate. The first time I came I had the Dolsot Bimbimbap, which I would strongly recommend if you are looking for a lot of food that also tastes great. Totally worth it to go on a discount sushi night (50% off on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 30% off on Saturday)! The sushi tasted very good and arrived fairly quickly for how busy the restaurant was. The only downside, for me personally, was that many of the specialty rolls are spicy, and I do not do well with spice. I tried them anyway, at the prompting of my capsaicin-loving boyfriend, and they tasted pretty good, but I could only have a couple bites before being overwhelmed. I will be back though! read more

Well the front desk was no help so I opted for following Yelp and my gut. I was at ease when I saw the parking lot was packed... That being said, Tuesday nights they have 50% off sushi. Being that I was by myself, I chose to get takeout rather than way the 20-30 minutes for a table. The food, was good. I really enjoyed it. Since the place was packed, I can't complain about the service but I did have to ask for my food that I saw sitting in the window. A number of years ago this place received scathing reviews from the health department regarding numerous violations. After reading, I swore off ever dining here despite hearing great things about it from friends. Nearly a decade later, I finally gave it a try. It was great and I walked away without any food-borne illness. They either really turned the place around or the health inspection was a fluke failure for them. Inside the small, A-frame building off Sagamore Parkway probably holds the best sushi place around the Lafayette area. With half-off daily specials nearly every day, the price is very reasonable for quality and service you receive. Their menu is packed with enough of a variety of sushi rolls to suit anyone's palate. As for the service, my server, Joon, was one of the nicest servers I've had anywhere. It is a small establishment with a small parking lot so be prepared for a struggle to park followed by waiting in line for an open table. I took advantage of the lunch specials to try this place out. I had high hopes, due to tell reviews and because it's down the road from where my fiancé lives. I thought it'd be amazing if there was a sushi place I enjoyed that is much closer than having to drive up on campus. For starters, I did not realize you could only get in one way and the parking lot was small and hard to get out of when they're busy. I ordered take out and got the sushi maki lunch special of two rolls. I upgraded both rolls from the original $8 menu. I will say it looks like the prices have gone up since some people have reviewed. I got the ebi tempura and spicy salmon. Those two rolls are my go to, when determining if I like a place or not. For $10 the price was excellent. The actual sushi was just okay. It almost had an odd taste. I'm from Chicago and there are a handful of amazing sushi restaurants that I frequent often. So my expectations were a bit high. I think I would stop here again only to try the lunch special and if I really didn't feel like driving up on campus to go to my favorite sushi bar in town. I love this restaurant! I go all of the time. The feel is clean, refreshing, and friendly. They are always kind and they have a great range in vegetarian sushi. My favorite is the "Vegetarian Dish" which has 3 different kinds of maki (avocado, cucumber, and kampyo). I usually get some extra shiitake maki because it's equally delicious. My husband loves to get the bibimbap with tofu, but I haven't tried it yet. read more
