One day, gave Hibachi Express a try. We've gone there at least 20 times since. What we love is how inexpensive their lunch specials are. $9.95 with a free drink thrown in. We LOVE the teriyaki chicken with fried rice and mixed vegetables. It is so yummy. Quite often we order it when we get in our car and by the time we get there it's usually ready and we just take it over to a table and eat it there. The staff here can take large orders quickly and efficiently and I've never had them mess up my order. Have eaten here 4-5 times now and the food quality and service is consistently great. Some of the best hibachi you can get at a reasonable price! When I stopped by I was too late for the $7.25 lunch special, which includes your choice of meat, veggies, and rice or a type of sushi. Your meal also includes a fountain drink which I think is amazing based off of the amount of food you receive. I ordered the steak and shrimp cooked hibachi style with rice and an order of spring rolls, which surprisingly came up to only $11.89. The yum-yum sauce TO DIE FOR (which is crazy because I DO NOT like mayonnaise). I wish they gave you teriyaki sauce with no charge like they used too, But this place is amazing!! We order it from DD at least once a week. I'm the basic one and stick to the shrimp and steak but the amount of rice with the veggies they give you is great! Disappointed today. Usually no issues. I asked for no broccoli and usually that's not an issue. I get zucchini, carrots, and mushrooms along with rice and shrimp. The blonde was watching and teaching Lisa very closely. With that said, we got our check, with 18% grat already added.. we were only 4ppl. The check had read guests 5. When I asked, she took the check, said she'd fix it, and came back with a check 18% less. We told the party of 5 next to us. We heard them say to the waitress that they'll tip in cash when she gets back and we heard her say "ok". They still had the 18%added. Double check your checks! 40% grat? I don't think so! read more

The big problem is that this new express sushi restaurant is not sure what it is. It serves cafeteria quality food at the prices of good sushi restaurants. It's not that the food is bad it is just not as good as the prices are. The miso soup and edamame were decent while the seaweed salad was very good. The salmon sushi was excellent while the spider rolls were just ok. Nothing was particularly bad and nothing was particularly good. It just was just confusing. read more
