I've never been disappointed with this place, even one time when they messed up the order and I called them to tell them it was wrong, they got my address and sent a replacement order without hesitation, charge only I smile. The food is delicious the service is great. I come here often and order to go often. The Kelly roll with a little bit of fried garlic on top is my favorite. My friends love the crazy roll and while I like it it is not the Kelli roll. If you're looking for something fun by all means try the sashimi tower. Bring an appetite and have a good time. We are from out of town and have had a few sushi places, this one by far was the best in a week that we were here. We are big on sushi and have one place back home we love this came pretty dang close to our number one spot! The rolls are amazing the sauces are great. The different types of rolls from cooked to sashimi to tempura is amazing and that's his it the sushi menu! The chicken fried rice is so amazing as well ! I stopped in recently . I have been eating here since Jason was in the Chef line. I was asked what I wanted to drink, and asked the waitress what the house wine was . She showed a bottle of Copper Ridge , which is pretty low end . However, the next option was a well known Oaked Chard. I explained that I preferred the better wine . However, I was served the house wine . When I asked why I got the cheap wine, my food was then served cold , with the salmon very overcooked. If Jason were still here I would never expect this type treatment I paid the full check as I was not interested in a discount for awful service . After I told the waiter I was unhappy, he kept all my change , about 5 dollars . When I asked about my change, he said. You said you were unhappy, but you would pay for all the food, so we kept all the money you paid. You can not make this up read more

Arrived on a Friday night and was able to be seated in 10 mins then we proceeded to wait 48 mins and no one arrived at our table to take our drink order. I've been meaning to try this place and finally got the chance today. It definitely lived up to the hype and then some. I was here around 2 and the place was hopping. I can only imagine how busy they are at traditional dining time. My server was Lin J and he was great! I came alone and often times that leads to being ignored but not with him. He checked on me often and kept my drink refilled and was really nice. My lunch portion bento box was HUGE. Well worth the $10 price tag. A fabulous value for sure. Sushi Hana is my all time favorite sushi restaurant. Grown up with it living in Katy and it will forever be my go-to when I'm craving and ever when I'm not craving. I'm hoping they'll expand further out in Houston but that's wishful thinking. If I'm by myself, I stick to what I've known for the past 10 years and get the Black Forest Roll and peach iced tea. If I'm with others, I'll let them choose because honestly, every roll is so freaking yummy. I've yet to have a bad experience at Sushi Hana and its just a hometown favorite that's always going to be in my heart. The quality fish they serve for sashimi is really A1 and I can't really say that about a lot of restaurants. This place was basically where I learned to eat sushi, and, trust me, it's a high bar. The service is fast, and there's an endless selection to choose from! I've had everything from a sushi boat when with large parties to bento boxes, fried rice, salmon, and tempura when with family and friends. All so yummy! Some of my faves are the veggie tempura appetizer, the gyoza wonton soup, and salmon bento box. My FOREVER go-to order every time is the Calamari Roll - everyone that's tried it has gotten hooked! I get it every time I'm in town!! Also highly recommend the tornado roll - super yummy and very insta-worthy presentation. The atmosphere is open and modern, and they're very accommodating for large parties!! Perfect place for business lunches, reunions with friends, or just a quick meal! They also give out Andes chocolates with the bill which I've really come to love. Really a place that holds a lot of memories for me! I came for lunch on a weekend and was able to take advantage of their lunch special for a couple of items, since it's available 7 days a week. It only got better as I got more adventurous. By far the best sushi I have ever had. When I moved to downtown Houston I still drove out there to eat. It is now my only must-have-pit-stop when I go visit family. Can't go without having a salad, best dressing ever, and my go-to is the sashimi tower. Please Sushi Hana, open a store in Austin. This place was decent. The prices were on the steep size, especially if you're used to Hokkaido sushi in Chinatown, but the quality of the fish is fantastic. The Red Wine Roll (with the white tuna, I believe) is the BEST. It's the one on the most right-hand side shown in the picture. We ordered 4 rolls + a dinner bento box, and the total came out to be about $65, which is not bad for sushi. We had plenty to take home. (Pictures of the rolls attached). Beautiful food, kind people, nice quaint atmosphere and reasonable prices are what will make me come back to Sushi Hana. After burning down over the winter, they've rebuilt this location so its new and clean as of June 2016. The service is fast, accurate and friendly. The sushi is fresh, delicious and priced very appropriately. Here is a picture of what I ordered. Sorry I don't remember exactly ywhat it was, perhaps B2? Came with soup and salad. Not a big fan of iceberg salads for nutrition, but at least it was fresh and crunchy, and compared to what I've had at other sushi restaurants. I also ordered something to go to bring to someone at home, and I never had to say another word about it. It showed up, packed and ready to take with us when our check came. Delightful! This place is my go to place in Katy for delicious quality sushi. I usually come during the busy dinner hours, when finding a table is pretty difficult unless you wait. I've only seen this restaurant slow once - when I came during the early evening dinner hours. This time, I came with my sister for lunch, and we were seated promptly. They have an extensive menu that is sure to satiate the hungriest of appetites. Our waitress recommended we try the mussels special for the day, and it was tasty; with aromas of curry, this dish was a twist on the traditional Asian mussels dish. We ordered our usual squid salad and seaweed salad appetizers, one true love roll, and one lunch special. As for the sushi, this joint did not disappoint; however, our waitress was neither present nor exceptionally friendly, which is far from the norm from my previous experiences. We had to flag her down a couple times to get tea and water refills. Otherwise, I highly recommend Sushi Hana for a quality meal. read more

I'm a sushi FANATIC, and I've been going here for as long as I can remember.. It's one of the best and most homey sushi places I've ever been. Starting off with the ambience, it's been updated since I first began going but I guess you could say it's for the better. The Service has always been very kind, theres always different people to tend to your needs, so you never have to ask too many times to get what you need. They're kind, and are like a family to us since we go so often. We knew the owner Tony, he and my grandparents were good friends, always felt like "extended" family when we came here. Always a good "HELLO!" from Tony, Edgar or Rachel. Lovely people. The Food, is Great! Has every kind of roll you could think of from the 99 roll to the Charlie sheen roll. Great variety and new things are added onto the many every once in a while, so you could be surprised. Frankly, It's a great place and I never get sick of it. The best time to come to Sushi Hana is for lunch. Their lunch menu is a great deal. I usually get the two or three roll combo. All their sushi is fresh and service has always been great. Shaggy dog is the best, my personal favorite. Some of my other favorites include; crunchy roll, Mandy roll, campaign roll, pink lady, dragon roll, spider roll, navy seal, Charlie sheen, ballet roll, tiger eye roll, etc. I really haven't had a roll I didn't like. Happened to crave sushi while in the Katy area and decided to give this place a chance. Definitely glad we did because the sushi here was pretty tasty and pricing was slightly lower than elsewhere especially for this area. We got salmon, yellowtail, Unagi, and whole scallop. Also ordered salmon skin handroll extra crispy. Let me say that the handrolls were massive and good quality too. I definitely recommend this place any time you find yourself around Katy area. Next time, we'll probably venture more into handrolls/rolls along with our nigiri and sashimi staples. read more
