We love the Haus! You can dine in or takeout and it's the very small intimate little restaurant with only about 8 tables. If you dine in, you can be waited on and they'll take your order and bring you the food or you can take out whether they're calling in or ordering from the counter. Everything is made super fresh and we really enjoy all the Katsu dishes, the Ramen and sushi. You could also get Korean staples like Bulgogi bowls and Kimbap rolls. I don't live in the area and was surprised to see a ramen place that sounded like a German bratwurst restaurant. The reviews were high here, so I took a chance and was pleasantly surprised. I got the Spicy Tonkotsu Ramen and it was a wonderful broth with crisp and pronounced flavors. The egg was perfectly cooked, which, though not a big deal, shows the level of care and detail a ramen place puts into their presentation. I needed several refills of water to make it through this bowl. I also got the Bulgogi Fried Tofu Inari, which was a surprisingly flavorful treat. The dining room was empty and quiet in the early evening, so I enjoyed the opportunity to relax and savor my meal. I'd definitely come back here again. read more

We gave The Haus a try for dinner and left with mixed feelings. The restaurant is on the smaller side, and while clean, the interior didn't offer much excitement. Water was served promptly--but oddly, it came in a plastic rubber-like container, and we had to pour it into tiny metal cups. Very odd and not exactly inviting. I ordered the udon noodle soup, which came with just two pieces of shrimp. The broth didn't seem homemade--though I can't say for sure--but it lacked depth. The miso soup was good, though. My husband had the spicy chicken dish and said it was hot and flavorful, so that was a win. We didn't try the sushi, which seems to get excellent reviews--maybe that's where The Haus really shines. The staff was friendly and attentive, and everything came out quickly. Overall, our experience didn't quite match the 4-star hype. I might come back to try the sushi ( and maybe edit this review) but I'm not rushing back just yet. read more

THE HAUS in Oakwood is hands down one of my favorite places to eat, and I don't say that lightly--I've had almost their entire menu! Located in a shopping center next to Kroger, parking is always super easy. The staff is friendly and welcoming, and the food comes out fast, fresh, and consistently delicious. Let's talk food--because EVERYTHING I've tried here has been amazing. The dumplings are perfectly steamed, their cheese sticks are super flavorful, and the sweet potato cheese balls are a unique must-try. Their inari, especially the bulgogi one, is one of my absolute favorites. I still can't believe it's tofu--it tastes like a crispy, savory fried egg. Their tonkotsu ramen is rich and comforting, the cheese donkatsu plate is cheesy and crispy in all the right ways, and the beef rice cakes (ddukboki) hit that spicy-satisfying note. I've also had their beef kimbab, which was fresh and filling. Even their sushi impressed me, and I'm usually picky about sushi! My only two minor gripes: I wish their seating was a bit roomier and I really wish they had a Coca-Cola fountain machine. But I grab a can of Coke Zero and still leave completely happy after every meal. This place offers a great variety of both Korean and Japanese dishes, and they do it all so well. Very good food. My bf and I stopped by for a quick dinner before our main event. The staff were super nice and gave us some great service. We ordered a tempura fried jalapeño withe crab. It was tasty. I had the bulgogi hot stone bowl and it was amazingly delicious. The bf ordered omurice and he finished his meal happily.
