Ooooh emmm geee!!! These are all this freaking amazing! The ninja special roll is the one wrapped in cucumber, it is so refreshing! Sweet dream roll... Honestly, I think I accidentally ordered this one because I don't usually order soy wrapped sushi... However, this is probably my new favorite roll ever! It's freaking delicious! they have a large menu and it took me 20 minutes to choose what I actually wanted... Because everything looked so good. Listen, you just gotta try this place. I live 3 hours away and I will be back!

We have been coming here for years. It's one of the best Hobart hi restaurants in the area. I usually get the filet but my husband has almost almost everything. Customer service is consistent and food quality is great.

Dirty tables... this is where we sat :(

We were starving and searching for hibachi. The hostess took us to a table that did not have a room for us as we were 6 so I asked to be seated at another table so she ask the other people to move down more. Then she said to me see plenty of room is that OK? No absolutely not ok but whatever. This place was nasty dirty it is only because my kids begged me to stay that we did. We had been looking around for over an hour. The soup tasted funny, the ginger dressing on the salad was bland ... none of us had more that a taste or 2. So moving on after waiting 30 minutes the cook decided to show up. He was nice enough entertained the kids and the food tasted pretty good. Thank goodness its cooked in front of you though. The cleanliness of this restaurant even got to my kids. What can I say other than if Im sick tomorrow I know why and its my fault for staying.

ABSOLUTELY WONDER'FULL' .. I ate here with my mom after church today and I wasn't even ready for this much goodness. I ordered sushi and the roll had the softest most plump sticky rice I've EVER HAD.. seriously. The ingredients were fresh and beautiful and most importantly, they use REAL CRABMEAT, not that imitation crap and boy does it make a difference. The sushi made me want to turn around and go back so I could get more for tmw lol. I also ordered veggie fried rice and it, too, failed to disappoint (meaning it was amazing). The service was friendly and prompt. I went to another hibachi place last week, which was located near this restaurant and boy was I disappointed . I still have the leftovers in the fridge cuz I feel so bad for wasting that much money on sub par food.. SMH. So, today was refreshing and I'm ready to say this is the BEST JAPANESE on Hamilton Mill!

We went with friends and had such an entertaining evening. Our host was gracious. The staff ensured we wanted or waited for nothing. The chef was top notch. Everything was delicious and did I say there was so much food. I would highly recommend.

The host said it was to celebrate the spring season since they did a apres ski theme during the winter. So festive. Okay so boom, we came here on a whim since we were going to a concert in the area later that evening. Surprisingly it wasn't busy for a Saturday which I expected it to be. Unfortunately though they had upcoming reservations so we weren't able to sit in the main room. We sat in their second dining room which was off to the side but still decorated. Our service was still good and the waiter was very attentive. For apps, we got the She Crab soup. I would've preferred for the crab meat to be sprinkled on top vs. in the soup but nonetheless it was still delicious. Super fresh!! Omg. I even contemplated on switching my entree to the stuffed grouper to get some more crab meat. I ended up getting the Shrimp scampi which was a great choice. And let me tell you, they did not disappoint with the shrimp. 6 jumbo pieces. Omg. The entree was done pretty well and it was just the right portion size. If we had more time, I would've ordered their toffee bread pudding or the honey crème brulee but that's all the more reason to come back. Oh and order the It was all a dream cocktail. Once we were seated, took about 10 minutes to have our drink order taken then another 10-15 minutes to actually receive the drinks. It appears to be only family members that work here but I may be wrong; if so they definitely need to hire 1 or 2 staffers to help on weekends. I think that might have made a difference in the service. My catfish was seasoned well but was fried pretty hard; almost made it "tough." Greens were good. The Hennessy Yams were good but quite heavy on the Hennessy. Cajun seafood eggrolls barely had a hint of cajun seasoning. Very disappointed in the peach cobbler as it had no sweetness to it. Very nice ambiance. Generous portions which was a plus, but too many other "misses" to justify returning.

Seating is very close and intimate and nice music is playing in the background. At first glance it seemed like a place you would want to come back to again and again. The waitress/cashier was very welcoming upon our entrance. I don't know if she was one of the owners but she was very nice and apologetic. We drove 30 minutes to try out this restaurant and let's just say it was not worth the drive. Since it was our first time there we were excited to try some of the ribs. Unfortunately they were out of the pork ribs. They were also out of the mac and cheese. That was a little disappointing but I figured because we got there around 7 and they close at 8 they could have run out of items. No biggie. We opted to get the fried chicken with fries and fried mushrooms. I got the pulled pork sandwich with onion rings, and a lemonade. The lemonade was perfect, to me it wasn't too sweet and had just enough tartness to make you want to drink more. Presentation was EVERYTHING. When the sandwich came out I wasn't even sure how to eat it lol. It looked great on the wooded plate. I wish the plates would have been bigger because the sandwich was a little sloppy, nonetheless it was presented very classy. The bowl that the onion rings came in was also wood and it was cute and different. I have not seen dishes like this before. The chicken was on one of the wooded classy plates a little small for the chicken but cute as well. Now here is the part where I had to deduct stars. The chicken was fried perfectly, it was juicy, crispy and hot. The only thing that was missing was the seasoning. It was very bland there was absolutely no salt or pepper or any flavoring that I could taste on the chicken. I just knew we couldn't go wrong with the chicken because after all it is a bbq spot right? Wrong..maybe because it was late they were just trying to get the food out so they could go home. But whatever the case it was not good. We did not have any bbq sauce or hot sauce. It wasn't offered and we didn't ask. Same thing with the fried mushrooms. The coating did not have any flavor and we did not have any dipping sauce. Again we didn't ask and it wasn't offered. The waitress did provide ketchup with both meals, but I feel like something was off with the flavoring. The onion rings were good and the steak fries were good. I would not drive that distance just for those items. One couple at a table next to ours had something that looked like fish or very large chicken tenders. Either way hers did look good but I wondered if it had any flavor. Hers was plain, no sauce or anything like that. I did see she had something to dip the food in and it looked like she enjoyed it. As I mentioned previously it is a very cosy atmosphere. It was very humid inside though and the sunlight was beaming in hard. The waitress tried to close the curtains but that didn't help much because the curtains were kind of see-through so the sun still hit us hard in the face and back, and again because it was so late maybe they had turned down the a/c. The waitress did apologize but basically there was nothing she could do about that. They do have a rewards program that you can sign up for to aquire points and discounts on things but I wasted time signing up because I will not be returning. I was so excited to have a new bbq place to frequent but unfortunately this will not be the one. To end on a positive note, the presentation was everything and the environment was very inviting.

Worst Mother's Day experience I have ever had. I understand…read moreMother's Day is an extremely busy day for restaurants, and I do not fault them for the hour-long wait to be seated. However, what happened afterward completely ruined my day and left me seriously ill for almost a week. I ordered a shrimp dish during brunch after church. After chewing and swallowing one shrimp, I realized it was barely cooked -- almost raw. I immediately called the waiter over and asked for the shrimp to be cooked properly. They took the plate back and returned it after recooking it. Unfortunately, halfway through eating the "recooked" dish, I suddenly became violently sick. I had to run to the bathroom and vomit repeatedly -- five times before everything I had eaten came out. I had not eaten anything prior that day because I had been looking forward to this brunch. I became so disgusted and nauseated that I left the to-go box behind because I did not want to risk getting any sicker. For the next five days, I suffered with nausea, vomiting, stomach cramps, headaches, chills, dehydration, and severe pain in my rib cage and throat from vomiting so much. I could not work for four days and could barely eat anything except crackers and Powerade. On the second day, I saw my doctor, who confirmed it was most likely food poisoning caused by undercooked shrimp. He explained symptoms can begin within 30 minutes to an hour. What upset me almost as much as the illness itself was the restaurant's response. A manager came to the table while I was visibly sick and nauseated. His response was: "We recooked it, didn't we?" I was in too much distress to say much. I asked for the General Manager, but instead my husband was handed paper to write my contact information because the GM was "busy" and supposedly would call later. My husband was later told they would only contact me "if more people complained." Think about that for a second. Several days later, after no one had checked on me at all, I personally called the restaurant while still sick and unable to work. The manager first claimed he never received the message about me, then seconds later said he found my information but "did not see the need" to reach out. He offered me a $50 gift card and repeatedly said that was "the best they could do." A $50 gift card does not make up for five days of illness, lost work, pain, dehydration, and a completely ruined Mother's Day. Mistakes can happen at restaurants. What matters is how management responds afterward. The lack of concern, accountability, empathy, or even a simple phone call to check on my condition was shocking. Please be extremely careful ordering shrimp here.
