My water glass was never empty. Soup is the standard miso soup and is par for the course. Nothing sensational, the flavor was as it should be, so I'm happy with it. Sashimi Medley - Tuna, kanpachi (amberjack), salmon, madai (red snapper), hirame (flounder), toro (fatty tuna), and shima aji (striped jack). Everything is tasty and would be competitive against Sacramento sushi joints. 5041 - crabstick, avocado, and cream cheese wrapped in soy paper, draped with tuna and salmon drizzled with unagi sauce and wasabi mayo. This was a surprise. I think the soy paper and wasabi mayo threw me off! I asked for the recommended roll that was not too spicy, so the server asked if I was okay with cream cheese, and this was the recommendation. This was fresh and the flavors hit for something different that I have not had before. It was yummy, but different than my usual savory. Tempura fried ice cream. It's an extra large scoop of vanilla ice cream dipped in tempura and then deep fried and decorated with chocolate drizzle, whipped cream, and a cherry on top! My family and I went to Sushi House at around 12 on a Saturday. It was pretty busy but luckily we were able to get a table immediately. The service was pretty slow but that is to be expected when somewhere is super busy. All of the staff was very friendly and apologetic for everything taking as long as it did. The atmosphere is nice and welcoming. The tables were very cold and packed together that would probably be my only complaint about it. The food was delicious and tasted very fresh and I feel like the price of all of the dishes was very reasonable. We had made reservations (recommended, as the place is popular), so we were seated right away at a table. There were four of us, and we decided to each order a sushi roll for the table and sashimi or nigiri for ourselves. I ordered the bbq eel sushi roll to share and fatty salmon sashimi for myself. Had planned on a visit to RA Sushi but after discovery that it was being renovated, we pivoted here (new to me, and such a better call!) We caught Happy Hour just as it was ending. Beers, Sake, and Spicy Garlic Edamame (which was fantastic! I just got home and finished the remainder of them and am going to fry my eggs tomorrow in the sauce) We ordered the Godzilla roll and the Tempuranara, both we fantastic rolls. My sister and I came here for a girls night out. She kept saying she wanted sushi so we decided to set a reservation and go here. I only like Tempura sushi. I'm not into Sashimi. We walked in and it's a pretty small place. You wouldn't get that from the website. They have two private rooms up front and then in the middle is the rest of the seating. We were seated immediately thanks to the reservation. It was packed in there so I'm glad we did that. For drinks, we both ordered Arnold Palmers. Wasn't in a drinking mood but they had a wide selection of alcohol including Saki. For appetizers, we ordered the Tempura Calamari and the Garlic Shrimp. Both were delicious! I've had Calamari fries before but never Tempura. So good. The sauce for the shrimp was very good. For meals, I ordered the Crazy Lobster Roll and the Rainbow Roll. My sister had the 5041 Roll and the Spicy Tempura Roll. . All the rolls were delicious I'm going to assume. I didn't try the 5041 Roll because it was Sashimi. First of all, the ambiance is great in here and they have alcohol as well! This was my late Mother's Day meal so I chose sushi! I got the two rolls that were on special and were made with brown or maybe black rice? My favorite roll was called Poseidon and it's not normally on the menu. The flavors in this roll was so amazing, there were so many flavors all at once and just the right amount of spicey! Since it was a special meal I wanted dessert. I got the chocolate lava cake. It was not too sweet and was very rich. The strawberries and ice cream were a great touch as well. Our server was so nice and attentive. It was definitely a pricey meal but so worth it for a special meal. I do hear that they have really good happy hour if you're into that. read more

The sushi is the best thing on the menu - highly suggest any roll if you're a sushi person. The bento box is so-so. I generally get it for the variety and lunch price, honestly, which is typically $12-16. I am not a huge fan of the teriyaki chicken because the sauce seems off to me, but the fried veggies and ginger salad are so good. Perhaps the coolest thing about the atmosphere is the option to sit your group at low tables closer to the floor. (I've looked up several names for these areas and I don't want to butcher this because I'm still unclear on what they're correctly called.) There are also two private eating rooms at the front of the restaurant with sliding partitions that looks like a really cool place to sit. I tried the summer roll and asked if they would sub regular tuna for spicy, which they did. It was really good. I tried a bite of my friends California roll which is on par with other California rolls I've tried, and I tried a bite of their Godzilla roll, which is spicy and seriously delicious.
