We have now been here twice. The service was great and they were watchful without being overbearing. When we needed something they were quick to help. The food was great so much flavor! Enough food to make it very filling. It was a quiet and enjoyable time!!

I had the chicken and steak hibachi, the chicken tasted like it was artificial not good at all rubbery texture. The steak was tough. The noodles were super greasy. My husband meal was similar greasy noodles vegetables not cooked all the way on both dishes. Our server was very nice and polite and did offer to substitute it for something else. We declined but I appreciate her offer.

We went here for lunch and it was a really great experience. Their lunch menu is awesome, good prices, generous portions and it comes with soup, salad & a small appetizer (Philly cheese cake-deep fried crab meat w/ cream cheese). We liked the crab appetizer so much we ordered another full order of it. The atmosphere is very relaxed, our server was nice & the service was fast. We didn't have to wait long for the food to come out. I ordered the lunch special: two sushi rolls. I got the shrimp tempura roll & California roll and my sister also had the sushi lunch special & she ordered spicy salmon roll & tuna avocado roll. Everything was delicious and served beautifully. I will definitely come back here again!

The rolls were pretty good but I noticed every item I ordered was overly sweet. The quality of the fish on my nigiri was good but the rice it came on was too sweet so I peeled the fish off. Same with the rolls, anything in eel sauce was way too sweet and in general there was too much sauce (crazy girl roll and incredible roll). Personally I would recommend rolls where the fish is able to shine more like the Yulee role but again, something was off about their rice (it reminds me of grocery store quality). They gave me a Philly cheese cake on the house (fried appetizer, bit of a misnomer) and it had a really nice crisp to it and of course very much appreciated but again was really sweet.

Food, service and place was great. It is a hole in a wall that is worth your visit. My wife and I enjoyed the food and service we received dining in. It was small, intimate but was ok for us. We had the dumplings, several rolls that did not disappoint.

Best sushi in Fernandina! I've tried different sushi restaurants around Fernandina Beach, but this is by far my favorite spot. They have a variety of fresh, delicious, and unique roles at good prices. Aside from the amazing sushi rolls, the service is great! Our waitress was very kind and even brought us a sample of one of the appetizers when we were having trouble choosing from the list. Highly recommend!

I ordered a grilled shrimp bowl here and was delivered a salmon bowl. Their fried tofu is basically a soup, and the staff seemed very confused when i told them i was picking up and offered my name. I had to articulate my order just so they knew I had already ordered. Frustrating and disappointing experience. read more

I have been coming to this restaurant for YEARS and it has times where it's not so great and others where it is just truly phenomenal. Sometimes the sushi is just not so fresh but when it is...oh boy! There is a new waitress who makes the dining experience not so enjoyable. She tends to hover and reach over plates that we are still working on or doesn't come at all. Several times she has entered the wrong thing, chicken instead of shrimp, spider roll instead of splendid. They easily corrected it but it gives me anxiety to send food back anywhere other than my own kitchen. We will be requesting a different waitress next time we go in. read more

Let me begin by saying this is the best goddamn sushi I have had in the past 13 years living in Jacksonville Florida! It reminds me of the fine sushi houses we have up north where they actually take pride in what they serve. The flavor is clean and there's actually large portions of meat inside the roll vs other southern sushi places. Absolutely a well deserved 5 and thank you for taking pride in your product!! This is the most delicious sushi I have ever had. Not a ton of rice, salmon and tuna rolls were super moist and had large portions of meat in them. I've never had such a refreshing meal! Best sushi in NE Florida. Comparable to sushi in Detroit! Highly suggest. read more

The highlight of my meal was the clear soup. I'm not sure if it was because its been forever since I have had clear soup, or if it was just really delicious. But I left the meal thinking, maybe I should have ordered another one! The sushi itself, was average at best. I got a very simple Sweet potato roll and veggie roll. We have been going to the Sushi House since we moved from Hawaii. It was our favorite Japanese Restaurant. Great food, great service and prices were good. Until this past week their prices doubled. Doubled!! That is a 100% mark up! Other Japanese Restaurants raised their prices anywhere from .15 to .35 cents but never DOUBLED. Guess we have to go elsewhere. read more

This place is still practically closed. Only dine in or take out. The waiting area was super dirty. The miso soup tasted like dish water and they gave us RANCH for the salad instead of ginger dressing. I give this place a 1* but have to give it a 2 so it'll effect there score and actually show. Edit: I got food poisoning that very night. read more

This place sucks. Bad service, weird vibes from both employees and patrons, and small-portions of sub-par sushi. My family will not be returning. It's worth the extra drive to go someplace in Jacksonville if you want sushi. read more

I've been going to the Sushi House for three years now! It's an excellent restaurant with a reasonably priced lunch special (less than $10). Dinners tend to be considerably more ($15-$25), but they're what one would expect to pay at a sushi restaurant in Florida. The food is always very well prepared and I have never eaten anything bad. The service is moderate to good. Although I have never had BAD service, I've also never had *excellent* service. It's not a super fancy restaurant, but it is good for a small dinner date with a friend or loved one. I would say that it is precisely what it should be, but nothing above average. read more

Our choices were limited for dinner because we traveled late on a rainy Sunday night. We are so happy we found this place! The food was really good, the service was just what we wanted- they didn't seem to mind they were closing and we were the only people left. Ordered hibachi and yellowtail sashimi to go. Hibachi was enjoyed by my wife (which is the only reason it gets 2 stars). My yellowtail sashimi stunk bad as soon as I opened the container, and 2 pieces had brown on them. All of the pieces were very dry and not quite as pink as they should have been. It was bad enough where I threw the whole $8 sashimi order in the garbage. My fault for ordering sashimi on a Tuesday, I suppose (it was my first experience with sashimi at this establishment). Next time I'll go back to fancy sushi. read more

This place is amazing! The food was fantastic, the service was superb, and the bathrooms were clean! I love this place. It is astonishingly good and at a good price. We had the salmon teriyaki Bento box, with the teriyaki sauce on the side. The salmon was cooked to perfection. And the green tea is so good. Very friendly atmosphere. Oh how I miss this place! 5 star sushi every visit and top notch service! A true hidden gem in Yulee! My daughter and I really like Sushi but my wife does not. This place made everyone happy. The Sushi is great and then I finished and had to try wifey`s steak. Some of the best I have had anywhere. Then let's talk about 1/2 price beers from 4:00 till close. The place is small and very open inside but you must try this place. Staff is attentive to your needs. read more

We go to Fernandina Beach quite often because my sister and her husband lives there. When we visit and if we crave Japanese or Chinese food, Sushi House is our go-to spot. To be honest, I usually crave their fried rice more than their sushi. Not that they have really bad sushi, just that their sushi is ok, but their fried rice is freakin awesome. Overall, the food was good, the price is decent... so I would say this is more than "A-OK" but not quite a 'fan' place for me. read more

Fantastic experience! As I was driving out of town on a Sunday, I popped by Sushi House for a quick bite around noon. I was by myself so I sat at the sushi bar. The server was quick to bring me water and take my order. I started with a miso soup, followed by a couple special sushi rolls. The miso soup was very good with large pieces of tofu and seaweed. The Forest Roll - spicy yellowtail, jalapeno, scallion topped with spicy tuna, wasabi sauce - was incredible. It had a kick of spice but wasn't overdone. The Triple House Roll - salmon, tuna, yellowtail, cucumber, topped with tobiko, spicy mayo sauce - was also a whirlwind of delicious flavors. It was the perfect quick meal on the go. read more

Sushi was good. I really liked the Jaguar Roll. The service/take out was slow. I'm sure it was because of COVID. I'm new to Florida so I haven't found sushi that matches the sushi in Virginia. Still missing that fresh taste. Will return and hope I can give a better review next time. read more

I love sushi house!! My husband and I actually found this place about 2 years ago on accident. This was the only sushi place that was open on a Sunday night and it's close to home! I realize there are very few options for sushi in the area, so I would likely talk myself out of eating sushi if I was in the area again. With that said, the food was not horrible - I would probably rank it as a good, solid OK. however when you pair it with slow service it leaves you wanting more. read more

I just had some of the best sushi ever over here. I'm not sure if they'll make it onto the main menu, but I had a Luna roll that was phenomenal! Pepper tuna on seaweed salad, with more tuna, cucumber, avacado in the middle and some siracha for an extra kick! The other sushi is great as well. I also had sesame chicken, which was tasty. Sushi is definitely the way to go here, but the other options are still awesome! read more

We didn't know this place existed next to one of our favorite Mexican restaurants. The prices are average. The interior decor is quite nice for a strip mall store front. The service was prompt. They were busy the entire time we were there on a Saturday evening. We didn't wait too long for our food despite how many guests they had. Really great flavors and combinations for the special rolls. Great service and food. 5 stars in my book. I enjoyed the crazy roll. They always have my food ready in a timely manner. I much prefer them over their competition at Fancy sushi. I have never personally had any issues with this business. The food is delicious. If I had any complaints it would be that they don't have the brown ginger dipping sauce like major hibachi restaurants have. read more

This is where I discovered my love of sushi, thanks to my wife. I no longer just think California Rolls are sushi and have tried some amazing things here. I also love their hibachi and teriyaki and gyoza. The kani salad is my all time favorite, great way to start off a meal. read more
