No matter how many times I keep coming here it's all the same or better. This is the most authentic Japanese restaurant in Nassau County. They've come up with some new items m drinks I've added some pictures. The clear broth soup is special on a cold day like today warms you up. They give you a nice cream cheese appetizer on the house. This looks like a small place from the highway. It is tucked in the corner of a strip mall, mostly hidden by a car wash. The place is huge. It is 3 times the size it looks from the outside. Our server was very friendly and attentive to our needs. We ordered the fried gyoza app. It was so good. Usually this has cooled a lot by the time it is served, but these were hot. We ordered 4 rolls. Jalapeño, amelia island, Fire island and dinosaur. Each was perfect in it's own way. There are 3 sushi places really close together. I pass by yummy sushi frequently on my way to and from Amelia Island, but I have never had the time to stop. I finally had a gap in my schedule and was going through the reviews, to which everyone had nothing but great things to say!! I went with a friend and we shared the Godzilla role, dynamite roll, spicy tuna roll, and asparagus roll. Holy smokes! They were absolutely amazing! The Godzilla roll was personally my favorite, it was lightly fried in batter and packed so many wonderful flavors!The dynamite roll was also lightly fried and the flavor was on point! The presentation was beautiful, the sushi stuck together well and we did not have any issues with it falling apart. The staff extremely friendly, a very proactive! I have only done take out from here but it has always been good. Great variety on everything for a very reasonable price. Food has always been ready when they said it would be and service people have always been nice. The restaurant inside never seems to be too busy so I really hope this place does well. It's nice and clean and fairly quiet. They are somewhat tucked away back in the plaza and hard to see from S.R. 200. I just hope they stay because this is a good one. read more

They got the name right, it was Yummy. We weren't sure what to expect from the restaurant occupying the space of the old Woody's. Now that we've given it a shot, I'm glad to say "you've got a friend in me". My roommate got an order of miso soup and the Yummy Roll. I got a green salad and the Jalapeño Bomb appetizer as my meal. I think this is the best Jap rest in town at the moment. They started with a strong mission to serve customers; great service and variety of plates. You can ask them to surprise with their recommendation of sushi rolls and you'll not regret it. The salon is well decorated with a good number of employees to serve you. TLDR: Great Prices, Large Portion Sizes, Decent Food, Good Service Came here for dinner on a Friday night. Was immediately seated. Our server was very energetic and provided great service. The ambiance of the restaurant is great and has a wide open floorplan. Overall food is good, some hit or miss on the sushi side but the prices and portion sizes make up for it. Would definitely comeback. Food: Takoyaki: 5/5 - If you like these fried balls stuffed with octopus I highly reccomend it. Shavings of Octopus are put on top that dance around due to the heat from the balls. Spicy Tuna Roll: 3/5 - Pretty average tuna roll. Nothing to write home about. Have had better quality at other places in the area. JB Roll: 4/5 - Good, tuna again was pretty average, but the avocado was ripe and flavorful. Singapor Mei Fun: 5/5 - Great curry flavor cooked into the chicken and shrimp. The thin rice noodles were absolutly wonderful in texture and absorbing the curry flavor. The sashimi, sushi and Lo mein are all excellent. We've been looking for a good Chinese restaurant and it's a plus that they have excellent and very fresh sushi as well.
