The fish is the star here, expertly crafted into some of the best tasting sushi this side of Tokyo. We had several nigiri and a few hand rolls and we were in heaven with every bite. Exceptional spot for date night or catching up with friends because you can actually hear each other. Service was impeccable. The first courses were sushimi, seeweed salad and miso. Honestly, these dishes were underwhelming and not portioned appropriately. The star is the nigiri of course and each piece was fresh and buttery. Very traditional as the cuts were a bit small and rice was acidic so each piece tasted similar. Scallops, ikura, and uni are not my favs but they prepared them exceptionally well. I ordered the 8 piece nigiri set which came out to ~$50 after tax and tip. The sushi itself was pretty solid - the fish was fresh and tasty. However, at that price point I would expect a slightly bigger cut of fish, as both me and my partner walked away feeling a bit hungry. First of all they were very accommodating for squeezing my wife and I in for a late reservation dinner. The place was clean and organized. The whole staff was friendly and very attentive. Absolutely loved my experience here! I was staying at a hotel nearby and decided to walk the mile. It took to get to sushi K because it had such good reviews on here. So glad I did ! I was by myself, so I sat at the sushi counter, the place has an authentic intimate Japanese feel. The sushi chefs instantly looked like professionals, and clearly knew their craft. I ordered the K premium combo, with eight pieces of nigiri and a hand roll. I was blown away by the Nigiri, they were each made Omakase style, with sauces, garnishing, and small touches for flavor and texture, added into each piece. It was served in waves of four, with the hand roll following. I was absolutely blown away by the quality of the fish for the price, my favorite by far was the aburi salmon - the slight charred flavor from being flash torched was incredible. So much so that I ordered another individual two piece serving of it afterward. I also got the Shishido peppers which were delicious and served with a flaky topping that paired well and a Ponzu sauce. The quality for the price was fair, especially given the area. And the staff were so nice and professional. I even accidentally left my credit card there and they stayed behind 10 minutes after closing for me to come pick it up. Excellent service, nice ambiance and the quality and presentation of the food was amazing. I ordered the omakase and found the price reasonable. I didn't love the barracuda, but that's on me, not the restaurant since that's just a personal preference. The scallop nigiri and Hokkaido uni are must haves. read more

Cute new sushi spot in Beverly Hills. I came here with coworkers and we went for the omakase, which was about $70 if I remember correctly. The quality of the fish was good, but at that price point I can't help but compare it to Sugarfish, which I personally prefer. I also felt like some of the cuts of fish were a bit on the smaller side. We all got the yuzu margarita which had a fun little twist to it with the smoke! And then shared some sake, which our server recommended to us and was delicious. That said, the service was excellent, very attentive and friendly from start to finish. The vibe was great for both a small group and a more intimate catch-up. It wasn't too loud, so conversation flowed easily while we enjoyed the food. Another plus: parking! Even though it's on a busy street, we had no trouble finding parking on a weeknight, which is always a win in Beverly Hills. read more

Has a Sugar fish style menu but honestly... Sugarfish destroys my stomach every single time. I got the premium menu it was fresh fish and it was insanely good super clean, melt-in-your-mouth quality without that heavy, greasy feeling after. The hand rolls were perfect. I almost don't know where to begin... this place is fantastic. Sushi chef Tomo was incredibly hospitable and on top of his game. I ordered the Omakase which was hot after hit of amazing sushi. It started with the miso soup which still had the subtle smokiness of the bonito. Immediately satisfying. All 10 courses of nigiri were fresh and expertly prepared with the perfect amount of wasabi and came pre-seasoned with shoyu. I never once reached for the soy sauce container to add more. Great vibe, charming place, we were so excited to try out this dot. the chef has no idea how to be nice and considerate to his guests. We sat for 1 hour and 15 minutes and never were served. When we asked for our food they said they needed to make more rice and it would be 15 minutes more. He never told us this and we were so frustrated that we asked for our check and we left.
