Wonderful service and every piece of fish was fresh & delicious! We got their omakase. The experience was amazing! Ambiance is small and cozy. Chef Tomo put different garnish and sauce for each piece so that they complement the fish. Really loved the salmon with black truffle! Uni was great too - from local, Santa Barbara. I loved chatting with the chef and found out he's from Fukuoka! I would love to come back with my family again :)

Honestly, one of the best sushi experiences I've had in Los Angeles. The sashimi had a perfect texture with abundant flavor that will make you wonder how you've lived without this place. The servers are fantastic and friendly. You can tell they really want you to enjoy your time here. The place has a modern yet cozy vibe. It's not huge giving it a sense of comfort and hometown vibe.

My husband has been raving about this place for months so I had to try it. The omakase is amazing and shockingly well priced. All of the fish was very high quality. Impeccable knife skills and sauce pairings. For the price, better than Nozawa Bar. The place had a cool vibe and great service. Definitely make a reservation.

3-3.5 stars. I was excited to try this new neighborhood spot after seeing all the great reviews but unfortunately my experience fell a bit short. I ordered the 8 piece nigiri set which came out to ~$50 after tax and tip. The sushi itself was pretty solid - the fish was fresh and tasty. However, at that price point I would expect a slightly bigger cut of fish, as both me and my partner walked away feeling a bit hungry. Service was very slow with the amount of people and we waited a while to order and never got water.

First of all they were very accommodating for squeezing my wife and I in for a late reservation dinner. The place was clean and organized. The whole staff was friendly and very attentive. We ordered omakase at the bar. The price was very reasonable especially in Beverly Hills. Chef Tomo explained each item and took the time to talk to us. The fish was very fresh and the chef creations were simple, yet very tasty and satisfying. Definitely give Sushi K a try as they are a newer sushi spot. We'll definitely support again!

Absolutely loved my experience here! I was staying at a hotel nearby and decided to walk the mile. It took to get to sushi K because it had such good reviews on here. So glad I did ! I was by myself, so I sat at the sushi counter, the place has an authentic intimate Japanese feel. The sushi chefs instantly looked like professionals, and clearly knew their craft. I ordered the K premium combo, with eight pieces of nigiri and a hand roll. I was blown away by the Nigiri, they were each made Omakase style, with sauces, garnishing, and small touches for flavor and texture, added into each piece. It was served in waves of four, with the hand roll following. I was absolutely blown away by the quality of the fish for the price, my favorite by far was the aburi salmon - the slight charred flavor from being flash torched was incredible. So much so that I ordered another individual two piece serving of it afterward. I also got the Shishido peppers which were delicious and served with a flaky topping that paired well and a Ponzu sauce. The quality for the price was fair, especially given the area. And the staff were so nice and professional. I even accidentally left my credit card there and they stayed behind 10 minutes after closing for me to come pick it up. Really appreciate everything, will definitely come back next time I'm in the area. !

tried the premium set and it came with miso soup, sunomono, 8 pieces of sushi, and a handroll (blue crab or spicy tuna). we also added the toro and the quality of the fish here is really really good. the price is so reasonable too, the set was $46. there's easy nearby street parking and the service was also great. i will definitely be back!!

Cute new sushi spot in Beverly Hills. I came here with coworkers and we went for the omakase, which was about $70 if I remember correctly. The quality of the fish was good, but at that price point I can't help but compare it to Sugarfish, which I personally prefer. I also felt like some of the cuts of fish were a bit on the smaller side. We all got the yuzu margarita which had a fun little twist to it with the smoke! And then shared some sake, which our server recommended to us and was delicious. That said, the service was excellent, very attentive and friendly from start to finish. The vibe was great for both a small group and a more intimate catch-up. It wasn't too loud, so conversation flowed easily while we enjoyed the food. Another plus: parking! Even though it's on a busy street, we had no trouble finding parking on a weeknight, which is always a win in Beverly Hills.

SERVICE From the careful and individual packaging to the adorable note they included, service was awesome besides the delivery time. It took 1.5 hours to deliver from the time ordered. FOOD We tried several items and although the sashimi was fresh, the cost was way too pricey especially for the rolls that were mediocre. SPICY SALMON HANDROLL- delicious with a slight kick! Although the seaweed was a bit soggy after the long delivery time. 4/5 SALMON AVO - aesthetically pleasing but lacked flavor 2/5 SALMON TRUFFLE - the truffle sea butter sauce was real heavy for me, but the fish was fresh and delicious. 3/5 UNI SCALLOP - uni was not fishy at all and the scallop was hearty. 5/5 DOUBLE T TRUFFLE TORO - the truffle just melts in your mouth! Toro was slightly on the tougher side. 3/5 EMMA - seared fatty tuna toro, yummy ! 5/5 HYE - yellowtail belly hamachi was refreshing and perfectly tender 5/5 SALMON BELLY - fresh! Nothing special. 4/5 MR CRAB - made with langostino and mayo, crispy shrimp tempura, and some kind of oyster sauce. Could be better and not worth it for the cost. 2/5 TUNA CITRUS - very pretty to look at, but lacked flavor. Not much tuna either. 2/5 OVERALL Would come back to dine in person, but wouldn't go for any of their pressed rolls or individual. Their sashimi is fresh, but definitely overpriced.

The staff was friendly, professional, and welcoming throughout the evening. There were some delays in getting a few of the dishes to the table, but the service itself was still good and the servers did their best to take care of us. The food was fresh, high quality, and definitely enjoyable. However, I'm someone who loves fine dining and high-end restaurants, so I tend to be very picky when it comes to reviews. While everything we ordered tasted very good, there wasn't a single dish that really stood out as unique or unforgettable. Nothing made me stop and think, "Wow, I've never had anything like this before." The food was delicious, but not necessarily memorable. The pricing is on the expensive side, but that's also what you would expect for a restaurant of this caliber and location, so I don't consider that a negative. Overall, we had a nice evening, enjoyed the food, and appreciated the service. I would absolutely consider coming back in the future to try more items from the menu. NOTE: Dined in on 10/27/24…read more Definitely want to write a couple of reviews before the end of the year to shine some light on restaurants that really need some more love here on Yelp. Rockpool sounds a little generic for a sushi spot, but the quality of the fish is quite delicious for the value. In particular, the lunch omakase is probably amongst the best sushi deals I've had for a sitdown spot. I'd definitely take it into consideration over let's say... Sugarfish. People often talk about how "fresh" fish tastes at sushi restaurants, but I feel like the best raw fish is often aged to an extent. The taste of the fish here is good, but I don't feel that they always use the best cuts. For example, the otoro was tasty, but it was not as marbled as I'm used to seeing. That said, another critically important and often overlooked component of sushi, particularly in handrolls and nigiri, is the rice. The rice here is delicately warm, pairs well with the fish, and has a pleasant, slightly sweet and vinegary taste. Simply delightful. The miso soup was also quite delicious, with a hearty, deep, set of flavors in the soup stock, and the scallop hand roll here was so good, I forgot to take a photo before devouring it haha. The lunch special should be enough food for most folks, but you're always welcome to add additional items to it! Now, is it good enough for me to try the more expensive dinner courses? Debatable, but it might be... just barely! The value proposition is hard to ignore, though. It's certainly one of the best deals you'll find on the Westside.
