Enjoyed our lunch here. We had ordered food few occasions in the past. We dined in after long time. Everything was excellent. We loved our sushi dishes. Service and ambience were amazing.

My daughter and I went on a sushi adventure and tried this restaurant that was new to us. Sushi Kami's quality of sushi was average, but what earned them an extra star was their banana tempura. This was notably the best banana tempura dessert! This dessert was a daily special, and I honestly feel it should be a permanent menu item. Yes, it's THAT good! Come check it out for yourself! Service was really nice too!

After our 2yo got her soccer skills in down the road we found ourselves in this gem. What a surprise and how amazing the experience. We arrived shortly after they opened and I can't say enough about the service and quality of the fish. It's a small little restaurant, clean and spacious as we comfortably had our tank of a stroller in between tables with ample room for other patrons and servers to get by. To drink we started with water and obviously an Orion and for appetizers we started our Sushi Kami journey with the Agedashi Tofu, Spicy Edamame, and Uni Nigiri. We then followed up with the Lemon Yellowtail and Medium Sashimi. For desert, because everything was so dang good we had to get the Yuzu Cheesecake! I will say it wasn't my favorite Edamame, still good, but a little Japanese restaurant is Mill Creek, Washington still holds the #1 spot. Also the Agedashi Tofu although perfectly cooked and grateful that the sauce was served on the side so it wouldn't turn to mush wasn't my favorite things we tried here. All the fish was absolutely phenomenal, fresh, flavor factor for the rolls we got, spot on. The Yuzu Cheesecake definitely was the cherry on top. The service was great. We arrived very shortly after they opened and our server Waka was so sweet and personable. Very attentive and just the sweetest. We will definitely find our way back to this gem. We definitely recommend if you're looking for some good quality fish and service if you're in the area.

The yellowtail was buttery enough to make me pause mid‑sentence, and the hibachi sashimi came out tender with that perfect little smoky kiss. The hagedashi tofu was crispy‑silky magic, and the shrimp tempura brought the crunch without the grease--bless. Service was friendly and attentive, the kind where they actually notice when you're ready for your next bite adventure. Everything came out fast, fresh, and looking cute. A reliable go‑to when you want sushi that delivers and sides that don't disappoint.

Incredibly good value for their lunch menu! Can't believe how much you can get in a lunch bento box for less than $20. I ordered the sushi and mixed tempura option and it came with three pieces of sushi as well as salad, tempura, rice, miso soup, and a orange wedge. Perfect combination. The staff were very friendly. The parking lot is a bit tight, but the parking is free. Definitely will come back again when I'm craving a sushi lunch combo at a good price.

One of our favorite date night spots. The fish is always top quality, fresh, clean, and full of flavor. We usually stick to nigiri and a few hand rolls because the fish speaks for itself. No need for flashy sauces or complicated rolls. They're also incredibly accommodating with gluten allergies. The staff is knowledgeable and genuinely helpful when it comes to navigating the menu and making safe, easy swaps. It makes the whole experience feel thoughtful and stress-free. The atmosphere is cozy and relaxed, perfect for a casual night out. Service is friendly, the value is great, and the food consistently delivers. It's the kind of place we always look forward to returning to.

Great service and food prepared quickly! The nigiri came with huge fish and rice portion sizes, which we enjoyed. The submarine roll and touch mango rolls were also delicious and came with huge fish portion sizes!! Really enjoyed this place and would definitely return again in the future!

Was staying in the area for a soccer tournament and was craving sushi, so I decided to try this spot. Parking was a bit tough, especially if you have a larger vehicle. It was pretty busy for a Friday evening, but we were lucky and got a table quickly. The ambiance was lively but still comfortable, making it a great spot to relax and enjoy a meal. The staff was friendly and checked in several times to make sure we were doing well and had refills. We started with the mixed tempura. It was the usual assortment, but still very tasty and a great way to start the meal. For rolls, we ordered the Tuna Heaven, Lemon Yellowtail, and Salmon Lover. All three were fresh, flavorful, and really hit the spot. Overall, it was a great experience. If I am back in the area again, I would definitely return.

After a long day at the San Diego Zoo, I was craving sushi -- and this place did not disappoint! The quality of the sushi and the price point make Sushi Kami a real gem. I loved that they offer a dinner special, which makes it even better value. They also have plenty of non-sushi options like teriyaki chicken and sesame chicken, which is great for anyone in the mood for something different. The service was excellent -- our server was friendly and had some great recommendations. Can't wait to come back on my next trip to San Diego!

I love this sushi shop. It's been around for a long time and it always hit the spot. When you receive quality sushi at an affordable price. They are so kind and so fast with your orders. It's typically a quiet place so it good for dates or family outing.

Typical Sushi place. Tried Chirashi bowl. Came with plenty of rice underneath Service is fast. Located across the street Phil's BBQ. Nice diner area.

Lovely service, atmosphere and food! Very clean restaurant and the staff was attentive. My food was also very good and although I wish I knew (I didn't ask so it's on me) how much extra deep frying a roll would be, I probably would have not done it. It was still very delicious and over all well priced !

Good sushi. I would say very fresh and quality place. Good selection. Very friendly service amd the parking is decent. Will return.

From the moment we walked in, we were greeted warmly and seated right away. The entire staff was friendly and attentive, creating a welcoming atmosphere from the start. A special shoutout to Tony, the manager, who took the time to introduce himself, ask how we found the restaurant, and make us feel genuinely appreciated as guests. That level of hospitality really stood out. One of the best parts of our experience was being seated right in front of the sushi chef. We loved watching the sushi being prepared fresh right before our eyes and being able to order directly from him. It's a unique dining experience that many sushi restaurants don't offer, especially at such reasonable prices. As for the food, it was absolutely outstanding. The sushi was fresh, flavorful, and easily some of the best I've had in a very long time. My fiancée wanted something that wasn't on the menu, so she simply described the type of roll she was craving. Without hesitation, the chef created a custom roll tailored to her preferences, and it turned out amazing. Between the exceptional service, fresh sushi, welcoming atmosphere, and attention to detail, Genki Sushi exceeded our expectations. Whether you're looking for a casual dinner, a date night spot, or a place to impress your significant other, I highly recommend giving this place a try. The servers are also very kind and attentive. We ordered the gato special roll (shrimp tempura and spicy tuna with seared wagyu on top) and truffle yellowtail roll (snow crab, yellowtail, and truffle), which were both quite delicious! The truffle complemented the yellowtail and the snow crab nicely. I would definitely consider coming back and recommend checking this place out!

We've visited several times and usually have a 4-star experience, but on our most recent trip, it lands at a solid 3 out of 5 stars, which is not a bad thing at all. Here's the breakdown of our experience: The highlight of our visit was the service. We were greeted and seated in a speedy and professional fashion, which was huge since we'd built up a pretty good snack-sized appetite after a long movie (a little too early for a full dinner!). The overall vibe remains very family-friendly. Our Food: Salmon Roll: Very nice bite-sized pieces; officially earned a "yummy" stamp of approval from our son. Agedashi Tofu: Really good flavor, served with the sauce on the side. Tempura Udon & Assorted Tempura: The udon was another "yum" for our boy, and the individual tempura pieces had that classic, crisp crunch you expect. Chicken Teriyaki Bento Plate: Served with tempura, salad, and miso soup. The salad and tempura were standard, and the miso tasted original--a splash of soy sauce added just the right kick. Chicken Katsu Roll: The one downside of the meal--the katsu was a bit dry, and the roll didn't hold together well (more of a chop than a structured roll). Tips: Time It Right. Perfect spot for an early evening "pre-dinner" snack right after an afternoon matinee next door. Dip & Sauce Customization. If you order items with sauce on the side (like the Agedashi Tofu), feel free to ask for extra sauce upfront if you like your tofu well-coated.
