Katsu dinner and spicy tuna maki roll
    Marc C.

I've only had the chance to enjoy takeout here, but this cute one-room sushi bar is quickly becoming one of my favorite sushi places in Akron. They have a number of daily specials, and this past visit I was able to enjoy the Thursday Katsu dinner special which includes seaweed salad, rice, a California roll, tuna sashimi, and a quart of miso soup. For $10.50, this deal really can't be beat. I'm not a huge fan of California rolls, but theirs was quite tasty. The tuna sashimi was delicious as well as all the other accompaniments! I added a spicy maki roll (I've also tried the spicy octopus) to round out the meal. It's somewhat of a small operation so definitely allow for some time when ordering takeout!

This is a hidden gem. It is tucked in the back of a shopping center in the Valley (Cuyahoga Falls). Started with the Miso Soup which was extremely tasty. Next was the Saturday night special - small sashimi combo, and last we tried the Nico and Summertime Roll. Great find. I will return!

Went here the other day to grab some sushi with two of my sisters and friend. Was disappointed when I walked in and no one was there to greet us or said anything to us when we walked in. After about 5 minutes, someone came by and told us we can choose our seat. We chose to sit outside but literally got forgotten about. We waited 20 minutes to be asked what we wanted to drink. We ended up moving back inside because we literally were forgotten about. Mind you, this is a very small restaurant so it's not like they were packed or dealing with so many customers. Finally got our food and it just wasn't good. I much rather have eaten a bowl of cereal at home, tbh.

I don't recommend dining inside, but for Akron sushi, it's not bad. It can get pricey in a hurry, tho.

I'm torn. The food is really awesome. But service is so slow. She really does not pay attention to her tables.

The only sushi I've had in Ohio that doesn't overpack the rice, but the fish was just ok. The sashimi combo was a major disappointment.

She got a roll and I got two (salmon and sunset). Both were good! I wouldn't order the sunset roll again as the black pepper tuna was a little spicy for me, but the quality of everything was great. The salmon quality was awesome-- much better than usual smoked salmon. The fish was in big chunks and had a buttery texture. My only complaint is that the menu description was wrong and it said the salmon roll came with cream cheese (I know that's usually a Philadelphia roll, but that one had no description and the salmon roll said cream cheese, so i went with it.) Their spicy mayo was great! Prices were "normal" for sushi. Food was ready quickly.

They seemed a little short staffed considering their small dining area was full and had a steady flow of dine-in guests as well as a very busy takeout flow. Service wasn't very attentive. It was a cold/snowy evening and because of the constant stream of takeout orders the temperature inside the small space was either very hot or very cold. The food was good, though! We had the spicy kani salad, edamame, and four rolls. All were fresh and tasted good. This seems like a solid spot for takeout but not a place I make the trip to dine-in for.

The restaurant is large and has different areas to sit. If you want to sit at a bar, you can. If you want a table, you can have one. There are booths and chairs. Our waiter was fast and friendly and provided refills throughout the meal. As an appetizer, we requested corn fritters that were served with a sauce. The fritters and sauce were very good. For dinner, I requested shrimp and chicken curry with noodles and vegetables. The food was prepared quickly and delivered to our table. My curry was delicious and it had a small amount of spice. The waiter explained the various levels of heat available in the food. My wife requested level two and I wondered why, since level one was already spicy. My wife likes a touch of spice in her food on occasion. Overall, everyone enjoyed their meals. I would like to visit again to try the pad Thai. Good meal. Good service.

When she got her food, even the highest level spice was still not high enough when she asked if she could have a few more spices, our waitress brought over a spice station. She LOVED that. We had a really good time. And just in case you're worried about parking it's free after 6 PM on the street.
