I ordered the gyoza, miso soup, and the Maki Combo, which came with a California roll, spicy tuna roll, and salmon roll. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and honestly disappeared so fast I started questioning if I even ordered enough food. The sushi was rolled perfectly, and the miso soup healed stress I didn't even know I had. Overall, a really great food and even better service. If Shā-rī is working, just know you're in good hands. We had a very good dinner here. The restaurant was a bit hidden in the shopping center and it's small inside, but well worth our visit. My husband got one of their sushi combos and I ordered a bento box. We each had our choice of soup or salad. We both got their salad with ginger dressing. The salads were generous with the dressing and fresh and crisp. His maki combo number 1 had 3 rolls: a California roll, a spicy tuna; and a salmon roll. On a large plate were the eight pieces of each sushi roll. He took part of his dinner home -- he had it for breakfast the next day (!). I got their hibachi salmon bento box. I had a number of choices -- for rice I selected white (other choice is fried); for my appetizer I got the pork gyoza (there are three other possibles); and for my sushi/hand roll I selected the California roll (there are 5 others). My hibachi salmon -- which they call the "salty" one as opposed to the sweet one which is the salmon teriyaki -- wasn't really salty at all. The grilled fillet came along with vegetables like broccoli and zucchini. It was very good. We both liked our meals. Prices were reasonable. Service was good. A friend suggested this spot for dinner. Plenty of parking available. Waitress took our drink orders right away. I got a large hot sake which was enough to share between three people thrice. My husband ordered a variety of the spicy rolls so we shared them. The rice tasted weird to me. Also the lobster tempura roll was dry and flavorless. Who goes to a sushi restaurant and not order sushi or sashimi? This guy (and many others). I love sushi and have had almost all their menu offerings but today I felt like switching it up. Their sushi is above average, not exceptional, but not disappointing. So today I started with the oolong tea followed by the miso soup then the pork katsu bento box with fried rice, spicy salmon sushi, and shrimp shumai. The pork was only slightly overcooked, the fried rice was ok, as was the spicy salmon roll. I was not necessarily disappointed, but it could have been better. The service was excellent. read more

Amazing treasure of a spot located in a WPB plaza. I am part of military family so we've traveled quite a bit. All this to say, I have had sushi from A LOT of places. Sushi King definitely measures up to some of the best sushi that I have had! The restaurant has a very cozy atmosphere. They have the typical signature dishes and the traditional cheaper rolls. Actually really enjoyed this place! I was very cautious but very pleasantly surprised. Sushi for me is usually from restaurants closer to the ocean loll this is closer to come in land in royal palm and still very fresh! The unique rolls were delicious a tempura fried Cali roll! Whattt so good and they even have sweet potato rolls which I've only had in NJ! I was soo excited to see them on the menu, no one down here seem to have them. Will def be ordering again! I really wanted to like Sushi King, and was hopeful based on the 4+ stars they had in reviews. Unfortunately, it was not good. We had several items from both the kitchen and the sushi bar and none of it was anywhere near decent. The regular steamed rice was not cooked properly, it was dry and hard. The sushi rice lacked the proper ingredients, i.e. vinegar, sugar, etc, and had ZERO taste. The sashimi was not sliced properly. I actually didn't even touch it. The "hibachi steak" was basically just Chinese stir fried (tough) beef with veggies. I come from a sushi restaurant background, my family owned a very successful one for over 25 years in Broward County so I'm very well versed in this area of food. Very disappointed. Ok so I ordered this for delivery for the first time and I was very disappointed! My spicy tuna roll was not spicy and didn't come with the spicy sauce on top that usually comes with it. Ok we've been here a few times over the last few years and mostly out of convenience or we're starving. The food is always edible but definitely never good. The one male waiter that everyone complains about served us this time. When we pulled up he was out front smoking, when we walked up to the door he got up and walked in ahead of us. Did not hold the door or say a word. I was 3 feet behind him and the door didn't even close before I grabbed it to open it myself. Should have left right then. Waiter goes to get menus and waves us in the direction of any table we wanted as there was no one else in there, (without words of course), he drops the menus, takes our drink order, does not wash his hands after his smoke, (again no words). There were 3 of us and he gave us 2 napkins, and 2 chopsticks, no plates for appetizers, no soy sauce ramekins, and nothing for the 3rd person. It was a huff and puff every time we needed to ask for something. He is just a rude kid that must be related to ownership somehow because there's no way that a decent owner would allow someone like that to continue to work in their establishment for so long. To the food... wow... I have never had such a horrible sushi experience. Pictures attached. We ordered a shrimp tempura roll, which I think the chef was just too lazy to cut properly. Supposed to have 8 pieces and this had 6 but they were 2 inches tall! Dried out and just nasty!! We also got a volcano roll and this "thing" was like nothing I've ever seen before. It's supposed to have crab, conch, seafood mix on top with a mayo sauce. This was dried out crab meat with a California roll underneath that was falling apart. The seaweed salad was good and that is purchased in bulk so you can't really mess it up... Needless to say we won't be going back... Ever. I don't know how this place has stayed open so long. STAY AWAY!! Maybe with some new employees that give a crap and a sushi chef that knows how to make freaking sushi, it would be better. Try sushi fans in Wellington!!
