Small and definitely family run business where you are met at the door and treated well all the way through. Service was spectacular. Their son was doing homework on a side countertop to add that family touch. They had Thai tea and we all know I am a sucker for this and it was delicious. They also had shrimp Pad Thai which was possibly the best I have had. We split a tuna tartar plate and the fish was fresh and delicious. Was looking for something different for my last night in West Palm, and saw the reviews on Pat Gogo, also their Happy Hour menu looked nice as well. Easy to find location and was greeted as soon as I walked in. No one was there except for the workers who are very pleasant, and immediately seated me. Tables and chairs are a bit outdated, but not uncomfortable. Received a menu, and asked about happy hour, and told that only drinks were on happy hour. This was the main reason I chose to eat here, but I wanted to try other things as well. Started with the waikami salad - cold, flavorful and a perfect portion. Moved onto a Tom Yum soup with chicken, again very good, could have used a bit more lemon grass and had a bit of a sweetness that I am not used to, but delicious. Next was the Tuna Tataki, and a Lobster Roll. Both were outstanding, the tuna was tasty and fresh, and the lobster roll was cooked well, but could have had a bit more flavor on the lobster itself. Little did I know they offer a vast selection of both food and beverage on the Happy Hour menu. Better yet, the applicable hours are 4-8PM 7 days a week! Prices start at $3 and portions are more than fair. We started with an order of edamame, calamari and a JBA roll. I paired my meal with a $3 Kirin Light beer. We were ravenous so we opted for a second order of edamame and an additional JBA roll. Everything was delicious and fresh. Ann checked on us several times and we never wanted for anything. I finally made it Pat Gogo! It is located in a an older, nondescript strip mall just East of the Palm Beach Outlets, not far from Palm Beach Lakes Boulevard. The building marquee says 'Thai & Sushi,' instead of the restaurant name, and parking is not amazing, but this is a pretty small place anyways, not crowded on the weeknight I visited. We were one of 3 seated parties the whole night, though others came in and out for takeout. Our server was nice, efficient and let us talk without being intrusive - thanks! I asked for his sushi recommendation; when I told him I like anything with flakes and eel sauce, he recommended the 88 Dragon Roll. Thanks for the recommendation; the 88 Dragon Roll was delicious! It was a great mixture of crisp, creamy and crunchy, of sweet and salty. I couldn't fit an entire piece in my mouth but I was able to bite it in half without the whole things falling apart. That bit of crunchy asparagus is still memorable. And the presentation was so beautiful, with the bright pink of the tuna contrasted against the avocado's green. Even the inside was pretty! I also feasted on one of my favorite soups: the flavorbomb that is Tom Kha (I ordered it with tofu, but the menu offers chicken or shrimp). Coconut milk, lemongrass, lime juice, cilantro and galangal are some of my most favorite ingredients ever; if you haven't tried this soup before, what are you waiting for? I can never go back to miso. Pat Gogo did a great job; all the flavors burst through this lovely soup. We sat in strange-looking but comfortable rocking, open chairs, and although there was a tv on at the bar a few feet from us, it didn't in anyway inhibit being able to have a conversation. I ordered from Pat Go for the first time recently, via UberEats, solely based on Yelp reviews. Thai Cuisine is one of my favorite Asian cuisines, therefore every state I've lived in and or travel to (almost 30) I'm always on the hunt for Thai Food. I was extremely disappointed by what was delivered to me. There was nothing about the Fried Rice I received that tasted remotely like Thai Fried Rice. The flavors just wasn't there. Matter of fact it tasted like a basic fried rice with peas and carrots from any corner Chinese Restaurant and not a Thai Restaurant. Not even a hint of basil to remotely give it a Thai flavor. Next, the Volcano Wings. Volcano Wings is one of my favorite items on any Thai menu, so I was totally disappointed to receive an order of salty regular fried drums and flats with a container of chilly sauce on the side to dip the regular fried wings into. In that case the dish should be renamed fried wings with chilli dipping sauce. Lastly, the spring rolls. I had to place it in the oven, because unless that's the way this restaurant does it, I received rolls that the crust was raw.
