We were in West Palm Beach in search of Thai food and came across Pat Gogo. Visited on a Saturday afternoon and it was chill spot. Fun decor, music videos playing on the screen, food and friendly service. We started with the fried tofu which was crisp to perfection. Along with the vegetable pad Thai and Thai iced tea. Small and definitely family run business where you are met at the door and treated well all the way through. Service was spectacular. Their son was doing homework on a side countertop to add that family touch. They had Thai tea and we all know I am a sucker for this and it was delicious. They also had shrimp Pad Thai which was possibly the best I have had. We split a tuna tartar plate and the fish was fresh and delicious. We ordered appetizers, Sushi, sashimi and dessert. The tuna and foie gras appetizer was my favorite thing we ate! This appetizer had so many delicious, savory flavors. I would definitely order it again. The sushi was not the best sushi I'd ever had. We ordered the JDA Bomb roll and it was not fried all the way. Easy to find location and was greeted as soon as I walked in. No one was there except for the workers who are very pleasant, and immediately seated me. Tables and chairs are a bit outdated, but not uncomfortable. Received a menu, and asked about happy hour, and told that only drinks were on happy hour. This was the main reason I chose to eat here, but I wanted to try other things as well. Started with the waikami salad - cold, flavorful and a perfect portion. Moved onto a Tom Yum soup with chicken, again very good, could have used a bit more lemon grass and had a bit of a sweetness that I am not used to, but delicious. Next was the Tuna Tataki, and a Lobster Roll. Both were outstanding, the tuna was tasty and fresh, and the lobster roll was cooked well, but could have had a bit more flavor on the lobster itself. Listen, I LOVE chicken pad Thai! And hands down this is in my top 3 of best pad Thais I've ever had! I ordered it medium but think I can go up a level next time. The sauce was really what made it! It was tangy and added the perfect flavor. I ate my whole plate! The miso soup was also delicious and was a huge serving. I finally made it Pat Gogo! It is located in a an older, nondescript strip mall just East of the Palm Beach Outlets, not far from Palm Beach Lakes Boulevard. The building marquee says 'Thai & Sushi,' instead of the restaurant name, and parking is not amazing, but this is a pretty small place anyways, not crowded on the weeknight I visited. We were one of 3 seated parties the whole night, though others came in and out for takeout. Our server was nice, efficient and let us talk without being intrusive - thanks! I asked for his sushi recommendation; when I told him I like anything with flakes and eel sauce, he recommended the 88 Dragon Roll. Thanks for the recommendation; the 88 Dragon Roll was delicious! It was a great mixture of crisp, creamy and crunchy, of sweet and salty. I couldn't fit an entire piece in my mouth but I was able to bite it in half without the whole things falling apart. That bit of crunchy asparagus is still memorable. And the presentation was so beautiful, with the bright pink of the tuna contrasted against the avocado's green. Even the inside was pretty! I also feasted on one of my favorite soups: the flavorbomb that is Tom Kha (I ordered it with tofu, but the menu offers chicken or shrimp). Coconut milk, lemongrass, lime juice, cilantro and galangal are some of my most favorite ingredients ever; if you haven't tried this soup before, what are you waiting for? I can never go back to miso. Pat Gogo did a great job; all the flavors burst through this lovely soup. We sat in strange-looking but comfortable rocking, open chairs, and although there was a tv on at the bar a few feet from us, it didn't in anyway inhibit being able to have a conversation. Tried this restaurant for the first time today. Well, we were very happy with this choice. The sushi was very fresh and very tasty!! We love eel, therefore the Nut about eel was our number one. The salmon deluxe number too, so so good. The tuna deluxe number three, but very good as well. We also tried shrimp fried rice and it was good!
