The nigiri here melts in your mouth. All of the rolls here are delicious as well. The hungry roll is my favorite because it's stacked with tempura crawfish. The manager is extremely accommodating and Vina is the sweetest waitress ever! This restaurant gives the best customer service making sure you are always satisfied. I got there early on a Saturday afternoon, with a party of 16. I didn't try their Sushi, even though I really wanted to. I picked rolls from their 50% off section. What a delight. They have a huge selection with so many flavors and fish. We found at least 4 different rolls we loved and ultimately ordered 10 rolls. I was absolutely shocked at how low the bill was for 10, yes 10 rolls. The 10 rolls fed 6 of our party at a cost that my wife and I spend going to a Sushi Bar. Every time I come here the food is good and the boys at the sushi bar are always nice, my problem is with the servers. I'm not sure if they assume that because I am young that means I don't leave tips so they don't give me service? I came in today and not once did a server ask how my food was, refill my water( which I set the empty glass at the table so someone could refill ), or offer any sort of service to me. I really don't know what to say because I have so many mixed feelings about this place. We've heard from others who live in the area that it's really good sushi (as well as appetizers, soups, noodle and rice dishes) BUT everyone said the service is really bad. Decor - yes in a strip mall next to Sport Clips and Ace Hardware but the inside is actually surprisingly nice. Don't judge this place per the location. The items on the menu looked and sounded great. They even have a huge chalkboard that listed about a dozen daily specials and about 5 fish specials for the day. As you can see from everyone else's picks the food looks really good and they definitely get creative. The sushi was good but I'm going to spend the rest of this review on the issues. Arrived on Wed about 12:35 so lets say halfway into lunch time. The restaurant was surprising fairly busy but not 100% full. It took 35 - 40 minutes to take our drink, appetizer and sushi order. It took another 30 minutes to get our appetizers (tempura veggies and wontons) then over the next 20 minutes we received our 2 orders of sushi, and we still had a 3rd roll coming but asked for it to be packaged to go as we had to pick our daughter up from school. All this time the waitress would acknowledge us and indicate that she'd be with us in a minute, and another minute, etc. BTW, we were seated two booths away from her main area where she entered orders into the cash register, and where the menu's were located etc. - thus she saw us the entire time. During our wait I witnessed some things from customers that I've never seen at a restaurant. One customer went up to the sushi bar and picked her own orders up (twice). Multiple customers had to walk to the back of the place to interrupt the waitress at the cash register to pay. YES - they do come to your table with a bill, collect payment and return with receipts but several people were obviously sick of waiting to pay. A group of three girls arrived, walked immediately to the back of the restaurant where they keep the menus, napkins and chopsticks - and guess what they picked up all their own items and went back to their table. They were obviously returning customers who knew they would wait for ever just to get their menu's and utensils. I have to give this place another try because the sushi was good and I saw several menu items that looked great, but I'm struggling with the very bad service. read more

We go here all the time and the kids absolutely love this place! The fish is always high quality and exceptionally fresh, the service is warm and friendly, and the prices are remarkable with alot of 1/2 price items all the time. Their menu is HUGE! Even folks who don't like traditional sushi will find plenty to eat with many delicious cooked items with chicken, beef or seafood. This is the place we always bring friends, family, and out of town guests. If you have a birthday person in the crowd let the staff know and they'll give you a special surprise. Some of our favorite items are: Gochu appetizer, Tuna Poki Salad, Baked Scallop. I love their yellowtail, Great miso soup, The Bluefin tuna and Spanish Mackerel the special menu is top of line, and tons more. I'm extremely picky about sushi. This place is one of my all time favorites. The fish is so fresh, it practically melts in your mouth. They even give you fresh wasabi, not just the paste version. Had lunch here on the request of my brothers gf. Nice place, plenty of seating was clean. The server was very sweet and tried her best to get our names right. The only off thing was when we ordered this one kind of Jalapeno roll, I wish I remember the name I'm sorry! It was covered with a very cheesy sauce along with a large amount of cream cheese inside. Over cheesy. But not that bad, just unexpected. The other things to throw me off were 2 birthdays in the place as we were eating. There's no warning that a large flashing strobe and music will begin playing as the servers come out in wigs shaking tambourines. That's fine and fun but for anyone with epilepsy be warned. We've been here two times - both times there were only 2 servers and 1 bus boy - several other tables complained, no menus and no service. They servers spent more time at the computer than at the tables. Seemed extremely unorganized - and this is the second time I've been here and both times had similar experiences. This place is one of my favorite sushi places. Came here 5 times in a month one time. Definitely the best priced I've been to. The only bad experience I've had was the last time I went I had to wait forever to even get my water and by the time we finished it took another 45 minutes to get our check. I've been coming to this location for about 2 years now and within this last year the whole entire staff has changed and they lost their best employee, Grace. She was absolutely amazing and always gave the best service. So sad that she left, since she has been gone the place has just gone to sh*t. The service is terrible now. I must admit that the sushi is still good but the waiting staff just sucks. I used to love coming here but its just not the same without Grace. Two stars for the food because that truly has never disappointed. Chris the sushi chef rocks and gets you your food quickly and there's another sushi chef, cant remember his name but I think he wears glasses and has worked there for quite awhile now. Not the one to complain ... but let me tell you . We walked up in there sat down no big deal . I asked about any happy hour and the waitress says straight up "no" no explanation-1st sign of poor customer service ... so we order a large sake / Sapporo . We notice the soy sauce was almost empty , filled up one of the dipping sauce -now empty soy sauce - we leave it at the end of the table so waitress can see it ... she dropped off our food order with no expression or dialogue (2nd sign of poor service) +30min & pass by at least 6x still did not see the soy sauce or acknowledge our presence. Then we ask for another menu to order a couple more things - drops off menu- no words or anything just flop of the menu on table . 15min later our other order comes , still no soy sauce and missing half the order. After 20 more mins we say eff it , ask for the check - she brings check immediately no words just flop of check (3rd sign). Check had charge of that half order we never received ... we Tell the manager , hopefully things get changed . Decent food , poor service , other waitresses looked more attentive , we had a bad one I guess. read more

My husband and brother love their sushi and I love the bibimbap. This is one of our go to places when we are in the mood to dine out. The awesome part is that they have some sushi that is 50% off when you done in and 40% off when you do take out. That's awesome when the boys in the family have a huge appetite ;). Their food is always fresh and prepared well. The service is great- the servers, other staff are very nice and helpful and remember us which is sweet. If you go here for a birthday they usually have a pretty great way to celebrate. I haven't done it yet but the first time I encountered it, I jumped out of my seat. It's definitely unique. The last two times I have been here they have completely forgotten to put my order in. The first time it was a phone order, 40 minutes of waiting and I finally just left after they realized they had never even submitted my order to the kitchen. The next time I came in it was dine in and they also never even put my order in or realized we'd gotten no food (despite walking by us multiple times with orders for other tables). It was an early dinner, around 4pm, there were about three full tables and one person at the sushi bar. They clearly have some organizational and management issues, I highly recommend going elsewhere unless you have an hour and a half to waste and enjoy being ignored. read more
