We recently celebrated my dad's 80th birthday at Flaming Buffet, and it turned out to be a great spot for such a big family gathering. We had roughly 30 guests, and the restaurant comfortably accommodated our group in one section of the dining room with a combination of long tables and booths, which made it easy for everyone to sit together and enjoy the celebration. Every once in a while they played a birthday tune over the speakers, which was definitely an interesting and fun touch that added to the festive vibe of the evening. The buffet itself has a huge selection, and everyone seemed especially excited about the fresh seafood options. My niece even tried snail for the first time, which impressed me! There's also a large variety of sushi, which many of our guests enjoyed. Some of my personal favorites were the black pepper chicken, green beans, and sautéed mushrooms. Everything else looked delicious too, but I was already full. Next time I'll definitely come prepared with a bigger appetite to really take advantage of the AYCE experience. One thing I wish they offered was more beverage choices. The options were limited to soda fountain drinks, green tea, and unfiltered water, which wasn't the best selection to pair with such a wide variety of foods. There were also plenty of fried comfort foods like pizza and fries, which made it a great place for both adults and kids since there's truly something for everyone. Verdict: unfortunately the crab was fishy tasting (2/5 stars), but the coconut shrimp was delectable (4/5 stars). The rest were typical fare for a 3.5/5 star rating. Plate 3: cheese pizza, fried battered fish, chicken wings, unagi, California roll, beef without broccoli, spicy chicken, and sautéed green beans. Been here now on two visits, with a recent visit to enjoy their buffet. It's a good value and they have a bit of everything here and every palate. Let me tell you, you will be feeling stuffed after dining here because you'll want to try a bit of everything. They have a few hot stations, including a mixed Filipino Entree and American fried food section at the very back, with pork ribs, fried bananas, chicken nuggets, and fries. In the middle sections are soups, Chinese entrees, Seafood items - they have a LOT of shrimp at this buffet, which I absolutely devoured on. There's some stir-fry like Beef and Broccoli. There's also a fresh sushi section, which is pretty good. Also lots of fruit and other chilled sides. Servers were pretty good here, but sometimes there's a wait to clear your table. But also because they are usually busy. Restrooms were adequate, not the prettiest or cleanest, but it will do the job. Parking lot is huge but shared with Walmart and Vons, so it could get full. Service was great, drinks constantly refilled and plates collected. Not only is the sushi selection fresh, but they have thinly sliced NY steak and Kbbq kalbi ribs at the hibachi grill for dinner and weekends!! The kalbi ribs were marinated well and so tender & juicy!! Although the NY steak was thinly sliced, it was still delish and hit the spot!! #winning!! Chicken wings were fresh, juicy, and crunchy. This buffet is not bad! Considering the price point and the the varieties of food that they have. I like the seafood, sashimi, and the fruits offering on the buffet. We came twice and each time we were seated promptly, and we were on our way to enjoy your picking. The teppanyaki is okay, I'm not a big fan of it generally, but they do have that, they have fresh boiled crab legs, you'd have to ask your wait staff for the butter. The sashimi were decent, and I enjoy the baked mussels and the soup varieties as well. The wait staff are efficient, our waters were refilled before we had to ask for more, and they kept the floors/carpet area clean. The owners/people who run this place are miserable greedy scammers. I am literally sickened by the avarice these people leak out of them. I went out to eat here with a couple of family members between what I later found out was lunch and dinner (around 3:30pm). One of my family members went to go get their last serving and brought back a small plate of a couple of tiny deep fried crabs before we left. The Asian waiter ran to our table and scolded my family member for taking seafood from the buffet yelling loudly ithat the seafood was considered dinner and that he was going to charge him the dinner price (these tiny deep-fried crabs used to be part of lunch, btw, but now they've limited their lunch selection to charge more for "dinner options"). He later turned to us all and asked if we were also going to get seafood so he could charge us dinner prices as well. We had literally been there for about 45 mins and were about to leave! My family member said he didn't know the seafood was considered dinner and the waiter literally snatched the plate of food away from him. What kind of miserable avaricious animal do you have to be to do that? He probably put it back out into the buffet with how ridiculously greedy they are. I had a similar experience a while back while eating there. I didn't want soda and took a canned energy drink inside. I purchased a lunch buffet and sat down to eat. I asked for some ice and the waitress looked upset that I had asked her. She reluctantly gave me a small cup of ice. As I was leaving to pay for my lunch. She caught up with me and tried to take my aluminum energy drink can from my hand. I was startled by her invading my personal space like that and pulled back. I honestly didn't care about the can, but her trying to force it out of my hand really pissed me off. I said I was keeping the can and she answered by reminding me that she had not charged me for the ice. Lmfao. I told her to charge me for the ice and she walked away. In addition to this, I have noticed that they seat their White, Latino, and Black, customers to the side and further away from the buffet. They seat the Asians in the more comfortable carpeted area with booths closest to the food. It CANNOT be a coincidence as it has happened every single time I have been there in the last few years. I invite you to observe. These rats are racist and miserable and I hate to think about what kind of shortcuts they take with the food they sell in order to save a dime. The food has been really bland the last couple of times that I have come here and the lack of freshness is notable. A lot of the items were lukewarm and breeding grounds for bacteria. Food was ok for what this place is. Nothing great. Quality of food is on the low medium side of the scale. Seemed clean and service was okay. However, I visited FB an hour before closing this evening. This is definitely a NO GO choice. The food was horrible. Nothing was fresh, orange chicken was tough in places, sushi bar was very limited, I think it was a spicy chicken was hard, chow main looked over cooked/heated, wings over cooked/heated. Most of the choices seemed to be the bottom of the barrel and not worth the price of admission. Also, I found a hair in the wasabi plate. Not mine because I am bald, plus it was in the wasabi and not on top. It seems like if a restaurant is not going to stock up and just let people come to eat their table scraps, they should give a discount. If I payed 10 bucks for such an experience I might be okay, it is still a bad choice either way. For this experience I gave them a 1 star. With that they end up with 2 stars to balance it out. If you are hungry and are fine with eating average to low quality food in a somewhat clean place that has decent service, you will probably be okay. When I brought it to the staff's attention, they were completely dismissive and showed no concern whatsoever about the issue. No apology, no action, and the bad food stayed in the buffet like it was no big deal. This isn't just bad service--it's a serious health risk, and the way they handled it was shockingly unprofessional. Very Disappointed My family and I have been coming here for a while and it was always a great experience--until today. While my husband was eating crab legs, one of them tasted off. As soon as he set it down, a foul odor--like a broken sewer line--filled the table. Clearly, the crab leg was rotten. We politely called the manager over to inform her. Unfortunately, she seemed completely indifferent and showed no concern at all. When the check arrived, we were still charged the full amount. We calmly asked if a discount could be applied to my husband's portion since he had just eaten spoiled seafood. She said she needed to speak with her manager. When she returned, she said, "My manager said you don't have to pay your bill, but you're no longer welcome here." We were stunned. We never asked for the entire bill to be waived--just a reasonable adjustment. To make matters worse, she began laughing in our faces while we tried to explain the misunderstanding. Very nice and clear your plate quickly. They are always cleaning. It's rare to see a buffet with an A rating and they do. The food are mostly good, but the crab can be mushy, which I'm not fond of. Grab what's good and just don't eat what's not. I tend to get one piece of everything to try and then go back for the ones I like. I was in the neighborhood on a Saturday and decided to grab lunch. My mom and I used to come to this buffet when she was still alive. It has changed owners a few times so I was not expecting much. I am glad to say I loved it. Everything was fresh and full of flavor. The counters and the dishes were clean and the trays were being topped up regularly. The price was $14.99pp. I must say I was very impressed with the large variety of Chinese food to choose from! I'm a fan of Chinese food especially Chinese buffets because I could just get a little of everything. Most Chinese food if it's cooked right then it tastes similar to other restaurants unless it's a specialty restaurant then flavor would definitely stand out for the dish. See that doesn't apply for Chinese buffets. Chinese buffets have good food but they don't have a specific specialty. People go to buffets for good food + variety. They have: 6 main food stations 1 big main food station Mongolian station Sushi station Cold seafood station Ice cream cups freezer I've been to Luxe Buffet in Ontario by the Mills and I know for sure this buffet has more food choices. Back in 2020, the previous buffet at this location/establishment was closed and or undergoing construction or was just simply closed due to the Covid pandemic. Fast forward to February 2023, this new place the Flaming Buffis now open and welcomes the community to come and dine in at this buffet location on McKinley in corona California. Came here three times now and have decided to finally write a review of this establishment. To be honest, you really can't express how well or not this place can be rated because of the time of day and in-between hours of replenishing food trays on the buffet line. You simply can't tell because as you think the entree was not good, the chef brings in a new load that is flavorful and exquisite as of a new recipe was used in fact it is identically the same. For now, the place is a grandeur of exploration waiting for the very few taste buds to experience the vast wonder of seafood (during dinner only) as well as lunch! I went again last Wednesday for the lunch buffet and was pleasantly surprised. For lunch it was around $15 for an adult and it was decently priced. I wish they would add labels for the lunch items because on the glass above the food there's only labels for what would be there during lunch. The lo mein wasn't bland this time and I actually enjoyed it. The fried rice was bland, but I like lo mein more anyways. The service was great and the server made sure to clear our table often. It was pretty busy when we went during lunch time, but it wasn't too loud or quiet in there. The lunch items are different than the dinner ones(ex: coconut shrimp is only for the dinner menu.) I still enjoyed the options they had during lunch, but I'd opt for just getting dinner here from now on since the coconut shrimp is my favorite item there! read more

For dinner, they added steak , sashimi - salmon/ tuna and some crabs / crab legs. Dessert is a mix of fruits and small snacks. And yes there's a salad bar. It's not the greatest but yeah it's value. Service was pretty good. They kept on refilling my soda and cleared my plates promptly. The toilet though needs a little bit of revamp. We have been coming to this buffet for years. There was no wait and plenty of tables. For cold seafood, they have sushi, crab legs, crawfish, and conch. They have all to most of the Chinese classic buffet dishes like noodles, fried foods, soups etc. for soups, they had hot and sour soup, egg drop soup. For fruits, they had strawberries, cantaloupe, pineapple, papaya. They also had a Mongolian grill type of service where you can load up what meats, noodles, and veggies you want and they'll cook it for you. The buffet was clean and the service was quick to help pick up out plates. Of course with buffet, it's quantity over quality. My only complaint was that some of the clams were sandy. read more

When you walk in it's rather dark but the staff does welcoming as soon as you walk in. The atmosphere is very casual and sitting areas are pretty spacious. You not feel cramped or too close to another party. Overall, my favorite dishes are the chilled crab legs, Mongolian beef because they also provide you a full steak. They have pretty good hot dishes from different ethnic backgrounds. Truly is a great place to try different foods. Sushi however it was probably one of my least favorite dishes.
