Last year, my family and I had dinner there. It's a pretty spacious place. We got seated right away. It was our second time dining there. Staff was nice but service was a bit disorganized. A few were chatting with each other or just standing around. They missed several of our orders, and we had to wait. It took them awhile to tell us they didn't have certain items on the menu. The good thing was that they allowed my younger child and I to not order AYCE while sitting at the same table. The sushi with raw fish was subpar for us. The fish didn't taste that fresh. My hubs did like their baked mussels and other baked sushi and fried items though! Maybe it's better now based on recent reviews. We may give them another try if we are in the area again. read more

Thursday evening 04/30/26 it wasn't a busy night yet service was 2 out of 10. Asian guy waiter barely said a word and we had to asks for napkins we never got. Asked for one refill he gave the wrong drinks and walked away. They used to charge half price for the 2nd beer or wine order. Today I was told they no longer do that. No reason given. Also their edamame has been brought out cold or at room temp on both previous visits here and have had to ask them to warm it up for me. And on several occasions, they were out of wine, even though it's listed as a choice on their menu. Also they used to offer a sashimi sampler which I loved but they took that off the menu, again no reason offered. So I've been coming here since 2020 when I moved to this area but it's very noticeable how many changes have happened since then, and therefore they haven't been as good as when I first stopped by. Came in with a party of 10 with family from Hawaii. Our server Cole was very inexperienced and started off okay, but when we were seated and started to get things going it was as if all the basic things we asked for like plates, napkins, utensils, wasabi & ginger was too much of a hassle for him. The way he brought these items to us and slammed the plates down made us not fond of him from the start. It was very disappointing especially when we come here often. From that encounter he didn't visit our table often we had to ask other servers to help us. He would show his anger and have attitude towards us. It was just one piece though so maybe just an error? Prices were a bit high, especially for rolls. We ordered sashimi salad and three rolls. None of which came with any shredded radish. We asked for radish and the first waitress looked confused and then said they don't have radish. I thought that was a bit weird as we have never been to a sushi place with no shredded radish. As people that have come here for years, it is really dissapointing the level of service and quality that you can recieve here. We love it sometimes, and leave upset other times, and for the prices you pay, it sucks when you have a bad experience. The service is either fantastic, or to a point where I want to leave. They will have new waitresses here from time to time and I am not sure if they are not training them well, but they miss so many things. They are responsible for the appetizers, drinks, and all of the utensils/plates. We have had to ask for replacements every time we go because someone gets missed or had to reorder appetizers because they are completely forgotten. The last time we came here, we waited for 45 minutes AFTER they took our sheet while we watched the table next to us get at least 10+ plates delivered to them in a row. It was weekday late lunch hours, so they were not busy at all. We have also lost rounds in the past because the rules change every time; if it's 3 rounds (as many as the sheet has) or if it is truly unlimited. We have also found inconsistency with the sushi quality itself. Sometimes the nigiri will not be cut right so the fish will have too much skin, or it's just not great quality and extremely tough. We are very gracious diners and do not speak up often if something is awry, but sushi is something you can't skimp on quality. In conclusion, we either have a fantastic time, or are upset that we spent so much money on subpar sushi/experience. We recently tried the Sushi Asahi in Riverside and LOVED it. We have been back several times and yet to have a poor experience with the food or service. We will drive the 20 minutes to get there over the 2 minutes to this location. read more

After going to the Riverside Sushi Asahi for several years, I finally got a chance to visit their Corona location and their food + customer service is just as good! Make sure to take advantage of their all you can eat option and load up on their nigiri. The nigiri has such a good fish to rice ratio, my favorite is their salmon nigiri because its almost buttery smooth. Lunch time isn't too busy, they were playing Thor 2 on their tv screens and playing SZA on the speakers, which was my absolute cup of tea lol The restaurant is clean, and well decorated. Let me start with I have been coming here for over 8 years now. I also work close by and often order out for lunch. We'll today two of my employees and I decided to order out for lunch. The fish as usual was awesome but I was sad to see I got charged a to go container package service. Never have seen this before as was not told while I placed my order. To top it off my two employees were not charged this fee only I was. Yes it is only a dollar but it's the principle.
