Pad krapow with pork and tofu.
    Norm R.

It's been a while since I've been to this restaurant, distance from my place being the restraining factor. But this week I have been there twice, and I remember why I had such a good impression of it. Earlier this week I had pad kra pow, Thailand's favorite dish loaded with Thai basil and so herbally delicious. Today I had my fave: garlicky Moo Kratiem topped with Asian style crispy fried egg. Such very good food, and very reasonably priced considering the quality of the dishes. Service is very friendly, as I remember it. I plan to come here more often now, distance from my place not withstanding.

So let's start with the vibe, [[HIGHLIGHT]]very cute place, tables and bathroom clean.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Our service was good, our drinks stayed full the entire visit, the waitress was attentive and we couldn't ask for a more pleasant experience. Now onto the food and drinks. The Thai Tea was very good, the sampler was nice, tofu was cooked well, dumpling nice and crispy, and the spring rolls were crisp and not super greasy. We had the hotpot, it was a very sharp citrus taste. Not my favorite, but a solid dish and I could see myself getting it if I had a sore throat. Lastly the Panag Curry, it was the highlight of my night, the soft coconut flavors, the meat (I got chicken) was cooked just right, and the rice was perfection. Pretty satisfied overall with the visit.

We supposed to go to different Thai restaurant, but the waiting was 2 hours, so we came here instead. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This place is very clean and friendly staff[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]], but the food was missing the flavors. Yeah we were a bit disappointed with the food, it was lack of Thai flavors. We love Thai food and we have been to Thailand more than dozen times, so it was sad for us eating Thai food , but tastes like Chinese food. Sorry to give you two stars.

I loved my visit to Taste of Thai! After passing by it for years, it was great. Two sweet women were running the show and they took good care of us. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant itself is clean and beautifully decorated.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I loved what I had for dinner and I will be back with my partner.

    A Northern Thai favorite made with flank steak -- a must-try, 10/10!

These are some of the newest street food dishes you absolutely have to try. I'm originally from Thailand, and we take our street food seriously. I'd say this is my favorite Thai restaurant in Phoenix. I love how creatively they've brought some of the most popular Thai street food dishes here. I've seen a lot of negative comments, but honestly, if you're not familiar with real Thai food, it's hard to take those seriously. It's kind of funny reading complaints from people who don't actually know Thai cuisine. I'm not a paid reviewer -- I just genuinely love Thai food and want to support this restaurant because they're doing an amazing job bringing authentic flavors to the table. This is the real taste of Thailand, not the version you may have tried elsewhere.

    Hot Pad Thai with duck
    Chloe W.

Pad thai is really good- super thin noodles cooked to perfection. Duck was good and well portioned for the size of the meal. My only complaint is that it did not come with a lime, especially because I ordered Hot it really could've used that acidity to balance the spice and would've made it perfect! Rice was a bit bland, but pad Thai has so much flavor it was still a good compliment.

Only enough sauce to color it. Bland with no sauce

Hostess was be try nice. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Not busy at all.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I ordered pad Thai. It was dry. No egg or spice in it like I would expect with level 3. Disappointed. I may try once more before deciding if it is good or not. I tossed it.

    Jessica L.

Love the pad see ew, but not enough noodles in each order. We learn to order extra noodles each time. Everything is delicious. We love coming here. Services are fast and waitress friendly. Restaurant is clean and plenty of seating area.

Most of the lower set tables were taken so the rez came in handy. Ample bar seating available however. Greeted right away by server and offered drink menus. Both the drinks were phenomenal. I originally wanted the Asahi but they were out of it so they gave me a Japanese Lager from Los Angeles (?), blanking on the name. The Caipirinia was the other drink which was made authentically as well. No complaints on the bartender. Food was 3 Bao Buns and a Chow Mein entree with grilled chicken added on top. This was the perfect amount of food for 2 people. The Bao Buns were extremely soft and light on the breading. If you get them from Din Tai Fung they tend to be dough heavy. These were NOT like that. Chicken and Eggplant buns were tasty and had a light kick to them. Noodles were probably the weakest items, I prefer the rice/flat noodles, but these were normal chow mein noodles. But I had to split the dish with my dining companion who enjoyed the noodles quite a bit. I'd go with Udon or Flat Noodles next time and ask them to add chili flakes. No room for dessert but it sounded delicious, something with bananas. Mhmmm!

There were still about 4 groups still in the restaurant, but was mainly open. I could see this place getting busy during the weekends though, so recommend a res if you're here during peak hours. We started with cold sake and a couple of cocktails. Super cute and yummy drinks, creative and complimented the overall theme. The Asahi beer was huge and came with an ice cold glass, perfect! We got the orange chicken and drunken noodles with added chicken breast. The food was fresh and tasty. I liked that the orange chicken came with rice, and was not overly breaded. The drunken noodles were pretty salty but overall good. These two entrees were enough for two people to take a little bit of leftovers home. Recommend for a nice date night or if looking for some Asian fusion. We'll be back!

We were nearby for a show, and decided to stop in on a Wednesday evening for a late dinner with some friends. They have a good happy hour menu, and my friends ordered off there, but I was craving sushi so I got the nigiri omakase. It came with miso soup, which I enjoyed, definitely hard to go wrong there. The sushi itself was decent, nothing crazy, but definitely better than grocery store quality. The tuna and salmon pieces were a little fishy, maybe not the freshest, but it was also quite late (~10pm) so I wasn't expecting too much. Beautifully presented, and the cuts were quite large which was nice! The food came out pretty fast, and the service was pleasant. The restaurant vibes are pretty dark, and moody. The bathroom was kind of scary personally, super dark and a little messy, so I decided to wait till I got home. Overall, a solid experience, and definitely a good choice if I am in the area.
