Chicken Karaage - Deep fried marinated chicken which tasted like the Taiwanese pop chicken. Perfectly fried and not oily at all. The spicy mayo added a nice touch to it. Spicy Tuna Chips - It's tempura seaweed with the spicy tuna and furikake. Very great portion of the tuna and based from most of the review, this is a highly recommended appetizer and I totally agree. Out of the Temaki, some were excellent and some were just okay. Highly suggest the Toro, Snow crab mix with the shrimp tempura, grilled eel, and salmon with cream cheese (not the one with wasabi sesame). Tempura lobster - I don't recommend. It's overfired and the batter was too thick. Overall the experience was great. Great portion and service was decent as well. Very cozy restaurant. The only bad thing I'd say is the bathroom, not very clean. I love that they validate parking!

The tuna chips were delicious. The quality of the tuna was excellent and paired perfectly with the crunch of the seaweed. The chicken karaage was also tasty, but the tuna chips were the standout for me. The tempura deluxe was just okay and not really my personal favorite, though others at the table really enjoyed it. The tonkatsu ramen was marvelous. It was perfectly balanced and easily one of the best I've had. We ordered the signature temaki set and swapped the tempura shrimp for a classic temaki, and it was AMAZING. The tuna poke, creamy scallop, and salmon wasabi signature temaki were my favorites, although all of them were delicious. I highly recommend this dish. We also tried the toro premium bite and the truffle scallop temaki. Both were excellent and absolutely worth the price. The service was great and our server was very attentive. Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant. It is one of the best places I have visited in Seattle.

What a surprise to discover this restaurant. We came and enjoyed the hand rolls and ramen. The handrolls had customs nori protection to keep the seaweed as crisp as possible !! The flavors where fresh and complex. They hit all the notes you want in a handroll. We ordered one to share, we regretted sharing. But the ramen was also solid, the chasu was a bit thick and grisly. We will be back with plans to both order our own rolls.

My first time here and this is officially my favorite ramen in Seattle. The broth was so rich and it had the perfect spice for me. The best part was the ramen wasn't even my favorite part of the meal. The signature tamari set was excellent. Each temaki was unique and delicious. I will absolutely be returning here. Eastlake is under construction but don let that deter you. They validate parking in the garage, or you can likely find a spot nearby in the side streets.

Great tempura! Great chicken karage-reminded me of taiwanese style popcorn chicken! Great temaki! Fresh fish. Ramen was very good as well. Visited because of tiktok. Location was not too busy and my party of 4 was sat immediately on a Saturday @7pm. They allow for 1 substitution for the signature hand rolls. I replaced one with unagi. My favorite was the scallop and I really liked the different toppings on the hand rolls.

Sushi Nori was recommended on TikTok to me as part of a Seattle itinerary. It is in the suburbs northeast of Seattle so it's out-of-the-way if you're hanging out around downtown as a tourist. We made a reservation at noon & when we came in it was pretty much empty, except one big family so we were unsure if the place was going to be a hit. The restaurant has a very clean aesthetic, although towards the middle of our meal of big fly, was flying around and bothering us . The tone was set by the salmon carpaccio. It is on the bed of fried sweet potato strings topped with jalapeños, furikake, in a single dot of Sriracha. We barely tasted any dressing of the sorts. It was more like a sashimi. There was nothing really standing out from this. Our chirashi bowl arrived after. The main stand out was the rice. It was perfectly cooked and had a perfect texture and chew. The waitress didn't really point out which fish was what, so for the white fishes we weren't sure which one was aji. I think for the price point for the chirashi bowl it was very worth it. The Uni was not fishy although the scallop was a little fishy. The rest of the fish was good quality. But maybe we should've just ordered the hand rolls.

There was a waitlist but they were very prompt to seat us and take our order. There is bar seating available for smaller parties. I was interested in this place because of the variety and uniqueness of items on their menu. We tried the black sesame ramen, takoyaki, and calamari, but next time I'd also be interested in trying their hand rolls.

Amazing food and service! Convenient garage parking right next to the restaurant with 2hr free parking. Had the signature temaki set but subbed out the tempura shrimp for the unagi. Of all the rolls, the unagi was my favorite. Amazing flavor and texture! But all the other rolls in the set were delicious! For dessert we had the mango crepe cake which was perfect. Not too sweet and quite refreshing. The matcha tiramisu was also a must try.

A cozy sushi spot tucked into the heart of Eastlake -- everything was delicious and I liked that the sushi came wrapped so you could eat at your own pace without it getting soggy. I liked the temaki set, favorites were Scallop and Bluefin Tuna, they're all solid and not skimpy on portions. Spicy Tuna Chip appetizer was fantastic too!

Omg if you love hand rolls this is the place for you. They have an abundance of variety hand rolls and even vegetarian options as well. I think I ordered half of their hand rolls . They don't skip out on the fish, the rice and fish proportion was perfect. Also, the fish was super fresh, melts in your mouth, especially the uni and salmon rolls. The tempura and karage were good appetizers but it wasn't anything special. Service was also super fast, but the space is very small, so you should make reservations. They also have free parking in the garage on weekends.

Second time here and it was still good. It wasn't very busy on a Sunday night. We had: 1) agedashi tofu - 4/5. Huge portion. The tofu wasn't as silken as I like them (I feel like they used Chinese tofu that's more airy), but it was sufficiently crispy on the outside and the sauce was good. 2) calamari - 5/5. I love me some squid legs and this was also a good portion. Good flavor. Didn't love the dipping sauce, but I didn't really need it. It was seasoned enough. 3) tonkotsu ramen - 2/5. Not much flavor and my carb-loving son only ate half. 4) temaki - 4/5. Definitely have these and not ramen here. We got a variety, from Wagyu to uni, but skip the fancy stuff and go straight to the spicy hamachi. That was our fave.

The food and service was so great! Everything I had was so fresh, delicious, and flavorful. Will definitely be back!

Came on a Thursday at opening with reservations. We got the 5 signature hand roll set. Fish was fresh and overall well portioned. That being said, they were pretty standard and weren't "wow factor". I think a yuzu kosho sauce would have been an amazing addition to make the rolls pop in flavor. Overall it was a great stop with fresh fish. I would come back to try the rest of the menu.

Mind you, this place is just a few blocks away from me but I was caught up in a work meeting and couldn't leave. 3) Tempura - Batter was tasteless and veggies were left to fry for too long (they were mushy). 4) Matcha tiramisu slice - Although a bit roughed up from delivery, was probably the best tasting item. TLDR: If you're ordering delivery, the fish is not fresh, the photos are misleading and the tempura is not good quaity and over fried. I would not recommend!

Second, the amount of time I spend in your restaurant heavily depends on the speed of your service (spoiler alert: it was not fast). They then sat us at the most uncomfortable table I have ever had the displeasure of dining at. The table was low and the seats were so deep that I could not rest my back on them while eating. Definitely brought the mood down further. Food was a hit or a miss, no in between. Hit: Garlic short ribs (my partner said these were tender and a good portion for happy hour), Poke sushi roll (good fish quality and taste) Misses: First Ave Roll (sauce was just walloped on top, weak flavors), veggie and shrimp tempura (heavy and soggy batter), pink lychee cooler (artificially sweet with no strong lychee flavor), green tea tiramisu (photo speaks for itself). For all the rave reviews, I was pretty let down. Thankfully, we went during happy hour so we didn't pay full price. I would not visit here again.

The inside is really nicely laid out and our table was in a side where we could see the sushi chefs preparing the pieces. We even saw Chef Kashiba himself while we were there! We of course got the omakase, which was a total of 22 pieces including non-sushi bites. The appetizer trio consisted of sashimi, bamboo, and a radish puree - while we loved the sashimi, the other two were just ok. The next course was a toro handroll which we thought was a bit odd since that usually comes later towards the end in omakase. The fish was fresh, but the seaweed was a little thick and chewy. Onto the next plate - 5 pieces of nigiri with my favorites being the otoro and sea bream. Special shoutout to the albacore as well (I've never had albacore so soft!). After this one, the 6 piece nigiri were a hit or miss - while I LOVED the kanpachi (probably my favorite piece of the night), some of the seared ones didn't feel that fresh or flavorful. We then got the chawanmushi which I actually really loved, and I'm thankful they were able to substitute the shrimp with rockfish for my allergy. Finally, for the dessert course we got some miso soup, a fried anago nigiri, and for me oranges (instead of the egg due to my shrimp allergy). I did think it was odd to get miso soup last, but the anago was really good and the oranges were nice and fresh. Overall, there were definitely some standout pieces (kanpachi, toro, and chawanmushi) but the overall omakase experience felt a little disjointed. I'm glad to have finally tried this spot though - the location is beautiful and definitely still worth a visit for the legacy!
