Top to bottom...California, Sushi North, can't remember 3rd name but it was also good!) and Sunshine.

When we want good sushi, we no longer consider going anywhere else. Sushi North's sushi is so fresh and delightful. I love the Sushi North roll, and we also always get the Sunshine roll. The edamame is wonderful too. Service is always friendly and helpful. If I were to describe the ambiance, I would say calm. Just a nice, intimate, quieter place to go to enjoy dinner with friends and family.

Wow excellent. Service was great food was delicious and fresh. 10/10. Honestly worth the drive out of denver to come over here.

Salmon roll, crunchy spicy tuna roll, and Kobe beef roll

What a hidden gem off the beaten path! We were on our way to the airport and didn't want to have to go into the city to get sushi, so I looked for something along the outskirts of Denver. Lo and behold: Sushi North. It was around 4pm, and we were the only customers at the time. Eventually another dad with two kids came in. For the most part, the ambience was peaceful and the decorations were simple and tasteful. We ordered 6 rolls: - 1 Red Dragon roll: Colorful and lots of flavors, and although it seems to be popular, it wasn't my favorite. Although it was an intricate roll, I thought it just tasted ok. - 1 Crunchy spicy tuna roll: One of my fave rolls that we ordered. The crunch was perfect. The roll had a nice kick. The tuna was delicious. - 1 Salmon roll: A very simple roll. It was good and we just wanted something plain to pair with everything else. - 1 Garden roll: My husband thought we had too many meat rolls, so I suppose the garden roll was ordered to offset the meat rolls. It tasted ok. I think the addition of avocado would bring it up a notch. - 2 Kobe beef rolls: We liked the beef roll so much, that we ordered a second one! This was another favorite of the night. The signage for the bathroom was well laid-out. And for parents with kiddos in diapers, there's a changing table! I'd eat here again.

Love this place! I moved to CO from FL 2 years ago and wasn't impressed with any of the sushi places I tried in the North Denver metro area until I found Sushi North. SN is sooo good and the staff and owners are so sweet. I've never had issues not being acknowledged and getting seated. Service is prompt and food is fresh and tasty. My favorites so far are the seaweed salad, sunshine roll, and the sushi north roll. So delicious!

That extra spicy mayo is me. What can I say, it's good.

Might be my third review on SN. I love this place. They always get my order correct. I cannot get enough. As long as I live in Colorado this will be my go to spot.

Crispy spicy tuna tower -- the one great thing we had

I thought this place was very much a middle-of-the-road, ok-but-not-great suburban sushi restaurant. I'm sorry, but you can't just make any dish "spicy" by slicing huge chunks of jalapeño on top. How about a spicy ponzu or a spicy aioli at the most basic? Bamboo Sushi downtown does habanero infused masago, which is absolutely bomb. The dishes were fine, but not creative and not memorable and not something I'd come back for. Chopping up some tomatoes and bell peppers and onions for garnish is not creative (or very good sushi either).

Best sushi ever, my favorite sushi place in the surrounding Denver area. A little on the pricey side but worth it for the quality. It's excellent.

    Monkey brain

I had been to this place before but I couldn't remember it so I thought I'd try it again and omg. It was good. I came by myself and ordered the spicy crunch California roll and the monkey brain. The California roll was absolutely perfect. Had just the right amount of crunch and the seaweed was fresh. The monkey brain was phenomenal. It's like you took an avocado and removed the seed, filled it with sushi fixings and then tempura fried it. The outside was crispy and delectable, the filling was perfect. The hardest part about it was trying to figure out the best way to eat it. I ordered some for my fiancé to go and would definitely come back

Everything is incredibly delicious, comforting, and fresh, and when you dine in food comes at the prefect "sitting at a restaurant" pace, even when the restaurant was full. Today, I had a really specific question regarding an ingredient- I have an intolerance, and always feel awkward asking for an ingredient check. Serene (or Serena, forgive me I forget now!!) took ample time to double check for me that a food did not have the certain ingredient, judgement free, and responded with my worries only with kindness. Thank you so much!

He ordered several sushi rolls and nigiri (including tuna and salmon items). By the middle of the night he was experiencing intense stomach cramps, vomiting, diarrhea, chills, and dizziness. We ended up in the ER this morning because he was so dehydrated and weak. The doctor confirmed it was consistent with bacterial food poisoning, likely from improperly handled raw fish or cross-contamination. This is not something to take lightly. Food poisoning from sushi can be dangerous, especially for anyone with a compromised immune system, pregnant, elderly, or young children. If you value your health, I strongly recommend avoiding this place until they clean up their food safety practices. We will never return and are considering reporting this to the local health department. Please, learn from our mistake and steer clear. There are plenty of other sushi restaurants with better hygiene standards. Your family's health is not worth the risk.

Izakaya's are Japanese bars that have quick bites and snacks to choose from. I was excited to see we were heading in. Once arrived on Sunday night we were greeted and welcomed. Asked if we would like to take our shoes off and walk in as in Japanese culture this is very common. It really felt like I was in a Japanese izakaya in Japan We ordered - Tofu Steak - Baked Salmon w/ ikura & rice - Duck Skewers - Salmon Carpaccio Everything was delicious and cooked well. I could have ate 2 bowls of the salmon. Everything is nicely sized but a good size to not get too full to order more. This location is combined with another sushi restaurant and it's cool to see the sushi being made in front of you. Will be back!!

I am so glad we did because this place is a hidden gem in the neighborhood. Once we were inside we were greeted by friendly staff and seated, cold glasses of water came alongside the menus. We decided on some sushi, a plate of Shrimp Yakisoba, and Kobe Beef Fried Rice. The fried rice was so delicious. The best I've had in a long time, the last time I had fried rice this good was when my friend's Japanese grandmother made it for us. That was over 15 years ago. I am also a big fan of Yakisoba, and this Yakisoba was also one of the best I've had in a long time. The sushi was excellent too. We arrived at 6:30 pm on a Saturday evening to full restaurant which was a great sign. You also want to see your sushi bar moving a lot of product so you know their seafood will be fresh. Lucky for us there were two seats at the bar open so we were seated right away. We started off the meal with of course some Sapporo and premium sake along with a tempura app. I've not found great tempura in the area and was pleasantly surprised with their preparation. We then ordered a Chirashi bowl (wife) and assorted nigiri for myself. The chirashi was okay, decent but not anything amazing. Some of the fish cuts were a little odd like they were the trimmings from the end of the filet. My nigiri was solid and I appreciate the fish to rice ratio was perfect as lot of other places make their sushi with way too much rice to stretch the dish. The amaebi or sweet shrimp was fresh and heads were nicely fried and tasty though I wish they fried it a minute longer. Overall a solid sushi bar tucked away from the main road but definitely worth a visit!
