My lychee martini was delicious and strong. We ordered 2 lunch specials; 3 roll lunch special which came with spicy tuna, yellowtail scallion and Philadelphia roll with a soup and salad. We also ordered a sashimi lunch which also came with a soup and salad and 10 pieces of raw fish. The rolls themselves were not impressive; they were extremely small and taste wasn't superb. Food: who puts a whole heap of lettuce in a shrimp tempura roll? With a tiny piece of shrimp and negligible avocado. I'm no sushi expert but I had to look it up and non of the pics I saw looked like what I got. I picked it out at the restaurant and it looked like I had ordered a salad. Spicy tuna roll- no spice, no taste, plenty of tuna so that was basically a roll of rice. Ugh. Hubby ordered AYCE. Well that was different from other AYCE places. He would order and maybe some of what he ordered would show up at the table. He didn't order just sushi, he ordered appetizers like goyoza main dishes like salmon teriyaki but had to ask for the items he ordered. They were very accommodating but AYCE shouldnt be shake down your server every time they walk by to get some AYCE. Oh the food was mediocre and beef ribs nearly bounced off the plate they were so rubbery and inedible. Overall the staff were very friendly but we won't be back. As much as I would love to give them more stars, I'm afraid that I just couldn't, we walked in the restaurant during the lunch hours and immediately you smell something different, The miso was perfect, then came the sushi, we ordered a bunch of sashimi and had to return one of the raw tuna because it had a funky smell to it. We called our server and she immersed took it back and gave us a freshly made one that was done by the chef.. I appreciated it but why wait for someone to inform you that the food wasn't fresh when you us fresh ones to serve? Is it just me? Ordering raw fish is already risky but I still went for it. Lol! My boyfriend and I love AYCE sushi restaurants and wanted to try something new so we traveled ~30 minutes to try Sushi Palace. We actually ended up at a different sushi restaurant that was completely empty so we were a bit worried because we came around 8:00 PM on a Sunday (disclaimer: I know an empty restaurant does not equate to poor service or food but we expected at least a small crowd given the time). However, once we arrived at the actual Sushi Palace restaurant, we felt relieved because there were others dining. The relief was temporary as it took minutes for a server to give us the menu or take our order. Initially, I thought there was only one person working the floor but then we saw three. Needless to say, service was extremely slow. The workers themselves were friendly but they hardly checked up on us and it took a while for the food to come out. In regards to the food, the kitchen appetizers were freshly made and hot. However, some of the sashimi and rolls had a fishy taste, which indicates that the fish was not fresh. Overall, I would rate the food a 3/5 as my appetite fell once I tasted something fishy. Additionally, we checked in to receive free drinks. Once the bill came, only one of our drinks were comped because apparently the check in applies to the whole table (AKA only one free drink, regardless of your party size). The servers never once told us that and that wasn't stated in the coupon either. It wasn't a huge deal but it just left a worse taste in my mouth. My boyfriend rates this place a 3/5 but I rate it a 2.5/5. We unfortunately will not be coming back. read more

It's a great choice because unlike buffets where you use communal serving tongs, you ask for the AYCE option and the server will bring over the sheets for you to select what you like to order. These include hot foods (such as udon, and salmon teriyaki...even fried oysters), sushi, sashimi, rolls, hand rolls and even desserts (which included fried bananas...oh sooo good!). While there are several AYCE sushi joints around town, the variety of the selections and the quality are sub par. Not so here, I felt their rolls were prepared nicely and fresh. My party of 3 ordered some hot foods, one full tray and a half of sushi and left plenty satisfied. If you are in the area, drop in...just don't forget to bring quarters. I go here every week and i love their all you can eat special which is fairly priced. Last Friday my son and i went here and he was full and did not want to eat but instead just wanted a coke. I proceeded with my order and the food came and i proceeded to eat. There was 1 napkin and chopstick in the table so i asked my son to get the napkin on the next table. All of a sudden the head waitress swiped the napkin from my son and said napkins are for diners only. PETTY and very stupid move I did not make a big fuss as it was not worth it to fight with this idiot waitress. I will not patronize this place ever again. I can afford to buy he a billion napkins if shes that hard up on it. But the business they will lose on what she did will surely spread the entire town of Rockville Centre and the vicinity. Since the pandemic hit I have not had my favorite food which is sushi. My neighbor recommended Sushi Palace and I decided to give it a go. I ordered salmon and avocado rolls which came with a salad and a miso soup. The roles were a very nice size with more fish than rice which is what I like. Everything was very fresh. I love this place, their AYCE is at a great price (about $30 PP on weekends, cheaper on week days) and has a large variety of what you can order, offering different types of appetizers, soups/salads, rolls, sashimi/sushi, dessert and more!!
