First I ordered pai Thai, it was just ok, it had some crunchy stuff mixed in it, when I took it out of my mouth to look, it was some type of Chrystal looking stuff, I couldn't keep eating that. I also ordered crab Rangoon. Not sure if they made a mistake but it was yellow on the inside, tasted like curry. Why would they do that, I don't like the curry taste, I was expecting cream cheese. Last, I ordered the spring rolls, it was too mushy on the inside. When you post a review, please be honest because others depend on it! After a long day of appointments, I stopped in for dinner. When I arrived, I was the only dine in guest and was quickly seated and served a cold glass of water. One thing I immediately noticed was the steady flow of takeout orders. There was constant pickup traffic, which says a lot about their off premise business. I started with the spring rolls, which were very reasonably priced compared to many other places, and honestly quite good. For my entrée, I ordered the red curry with fried tofu and added broccoli for an extra charge. The dish was prepared exactly to my requested spice level and well balanced with a nice kick without being overwhelming. The rice was soft and fresh, which is always a must for Thai food. After eating about a third of the meal, I ended up packing the rest to go, and it easily became dinner the next day as well. While it's not necessarily my go to spot, it's definitely a solid option when I'm in the area and looking for a reliable Thai meal with good portions and fair pricing. read more

Small menu choices Tonight I ordered Crispy Wonton Pad Thai to go. A mistake to order it to go. I got a styrofoam container of crispy wontons and a cup of soup. The soup contained a lot of chicken, a few nice shrimp, a few bean sprouts but not one pad Thai noodle or peanut. Two ingredients listed on the menu. I love how cozy this restaurant feels with all of the comfortable booths and upbeat music playing. It has a very natural vibe with green leaves on the walls. I usually order the award winning Vegan Red Curry from here with the Spring Rolls. I like that they give you 2 full rolls. Other Thai places often only give you one if at all. The dish itself comes in a clay pot and has a creamy texture and perfect spice level. I usually order medium spicy and the servers always ask for your preference on this, which is nice. I have also eaten and enjoyed the Pad Thai, Green Curry, Basil Stirfry, and Thai fried rice. It's all very well prepared and fresh tasting. Pad Thai was too sweet; not savory. It was a no for me. I ordered the Vegetable Pad Thai; the veggie serving portion was good. Crab Rangoons had a curry flavor to it, which was a new flavor profile pairing for me. Not sure I'd order them on repeat as I would original-flavored Crab Rangoons. I wish I didn't wait so long to try this spot. The ambiance was cozy, quaint and welcoming, already decorated for the holidays. It's a small spot, but well worth the wait. I started off with a brown sugar milk tea with boba, which hit ththe spot. Then had the gyoza, which is on happy hour. They were crispy and delicious. For my main dish, I ordered the Pad See Ew with shrimp, and it did not disappoint. The stir-fried wide rice noodles were cooked to perfection--soft yet slightly chewy, with just the right amount of caramelized flavor. I felt the portion size was generous, with plenty of shrimp. I stopped by here earlier today for dinner with my wife and twins. We had found Only Thai on Yelp and liked its rating as well as the fact that it was relatively close by. Going through their website, we were able to put in our order through something called Fox ordering. That predicted that our order would be ready to pick up at 5:45 PM. We arrived to the restaurant at 6:05 PM and our food still wasn't ready. The lady working in the restaurant asked me if I was pickup and whenever I confirmed that I was, she said they were packing them up in the back. About 5 minutes later she asked my name as there had been one to go order sitting and ready to go. Eventually at 6:15 PM I finally had our food and was out the door. For dinner on this evening I decided to order the green curry, medium spice, and picked chicken as my protein. My wife went with the pad Thai for her dinner and chose the mixed seafood for her protein. My entree here actually ended up being really good. The curry was a nice sweet and spicy mixture with the sweetness coming from the coconut milk while the spiciness came from the curry. It was enough spice that you knew it was there but it didn't linger for a long time which was nice. My curry had Thai eggplant, zucchini, bamboo shots, bell peppers and Thai basil in it vegetable wise and then chicken as well. All of the vegetables were good with my favorite being the Thai eggplant and the chicken was good as well. My wife enjoyed her pad Thai with mixed seafood with it containing shrimp, calamari and scallops. The bottom line for me is that I would head back here again in the future. My dinner was really delicious and I only wish my food was ready whenever it was supposed to have been. read more

Would like to see a fiery edamame option and asked for sauce which was willingly provided. Nice dine-in place with low lighting and conversation friendly. My friend and I were craving thai, and we found this place in the area. First off, it's so cute inside! Loved the lighting and the decorations. Makes for great pictures! Second, our waitress was super nice and was very attentive even while juggling all of the tables herself (this was toward the end of the night). Lastly, the food was great! If you're a big fan of Thai food I highly recommend checking out Only Thai, they have some of the BEST Thai food in Florida at one of the BEST price points too! Highly recommend! Sometimes you don't want something over-the-top or fancy, you just want a good meal that's quick, tastes delicious, and won't break the bank so Only Thai has quickly become one of our favorite spots for a quick dinner after work or to pick up takeout at. The service there is always great, the food is always made fresh, tastes delicious, and you never have to wait long for anything you order. Some of our favorite dishes so far have been the Chicken Satay Skewers, the Pad Thai (of course), the Pad-See-Ew, and the Pineapple Fried Rice. The Chicken Satay Skewers arrive with the yummiest peanut sauce on the side that goes so well with the grilled chicken skewers and although it's a very simple dish, it's a perfect start to our meal and great for sharing for 2 people. The Pad Thai is always good - you can never go wrong with Pad Thai at Only Thai - but if you're in the mood to try something different than Pad Thai I highly recommend you try the Chicken or Beef Pad-See-Ew it's one of my favorite dishes there. The Pad See-Ew comes with thicker and flatter noodles than the Pad Thai and the noodles are cooked with broccoli in this light brown sauce that is delicious. Another great dish worth mentioning at Only Thai is their Pineapple Fried Rice - it's very different than the typical Pineapple Fried Rice that we've had at other Thai restaurants because instead of being very sweet with big chunks of pineapple in it, it's made with smaller pieces of pineapple, and a little bit of curry so it's got more of a curry flavor to which I really love and makes it a very unique dish to try. The inside of the restaurant is done nicely, we love the colorful bright green palm leaf wallpaper that decorates the wall and the wood lanterns that hang from the ceiling, it gives the entire restaurant a fun tropical vibe to it that we really enjoy. Another great thing about Only Thai that we love, is that the restaurant is never crowded, or jam packed full of noisy people, and with the lights dimmed low the restaurant has a peaceful and cozy feeling to it that's perfect for date night or for enjoying a quiet evening after a long workday. Service at Only Thai is always great whenever we go, everyone is always friendly there, they check up on you often, and the food always comes out quickly. So we really wanted Thai food that night and the regular place we went to was such a long wait that we opted for this one instead. To our surprise, the food was good! Authentic flavor and we even tried something we never had before which was the moo pang skewers. It was cooked to perfection and it is comparable to regular beef satays. The drunken noodles packed a lot of flavors and the curry that we ordered was flavorful enough that it wasn't overwhelming. Was greeted immediately as I walked into the door and seated all within 30 seconds. I did pop by around 8pm. Menu had many great choices but I went with the crispy duck over rice. Craving mango sticky rice, I visited Only Thai. Greeted upon entry, I had to opt for a takeaway order as I arrived close to closing time at 2:30pm on a Saturday. The small, charmingly decorated restaurant exuded a cozy vibe. Priced at $10.70, the portion was smaller than expected, and the sauce was a little too thin. Cute Thai restaurant on Oakland Park Boulevatd. Parking is somewhat tough in this small plaza but it was worth the struggle. Nice ambience, comfortable booths, and hood service. We ordered off the lunch menu which had a good selection of options. They come with an appetizer and entree. I ordered the tofu soup and basil chicken. The soup had a delicious flavorful broth with tofu, bean sprouts, carrots, and snow peas. The basil chicken was a good portion of chicken breast, vegetables in a light sauce with white rice. My daughter had the salad which had a good peanut dressing and shrimp red curry. The curry was so tasty! We were happy with the food and will definitely be back when we are im the area. read more

Be careful ordering for delivery. They're not helpful when issues arise. We ordered food for delivery because our kiddo is not feeling well. We're on vacay in Fort Lauderdale and staying at a hotel for our last night so we decided to stay in and get her some soup. We ordered and hubby went out to the main office to wait for the delivery to arrive. It took a really long time and when he returned, he said that he received a notification that the order was delivered but he never received our order. He called the restaurant and they gave him the number of the driver, telling him to call that person and to take it up with him. He tried to call the but no answer. I called the restaurant back and they were no help. We ended up calling the delivery service and you would think that the problem was solely because of the delivery service but while waiting for our second order (yes, we had to deliver again), we were told by the delivery person that the restaurant forgot something in our order and had them return to the restaurant to retrieve the item and before delivering. She was right outside when they called her back so essentially, we could have gotten part of our order still hot. We waited over two hours for our food, with no reimbursement for issues caused, not by us. When the food finally arrived, some of it was warm, whole the rest was cooled down. I'm assuming the hot food was the food they forgot to pack. Hubby had their pineapple rice which he liked. We got the kiddo their chicken wonton soup. She didn't each much of it and that is likely because it was not warm enough when it arrived. It had the same chicken wontons in it that we ordered as a separate fried appetizer. We also ordered some of their crispy wings. The wings were bland on their own. They are served with an ordinary sweet chili sauce. They could have been better. The fried chicken wonton were also kind of bland. They were served with a peanut sauce which was ok but again, eating them alone was kind of meh and they definitely need the sauce. Passing through Fort Lauderdale I noticed the large graffiti on the side on the restaurant in black and white. The yelp ratings were high and I got a craving for some Thai Green Curry. As a strict vegetarian, it's not something I can experiment with since many Thai restaurants add fish sauce, oyster sauce or shrimp paste to seemingly vegetable dishes. I always check.
