We were rather full from lunch, but decided to have a small bite here for dinner. We've now been to four or five Sushi Sake locations and we have enjoyed all of them. The restaurant is lovely inside. Tastefully decorated. Not at all what you would expect from its strip location off the highway. Even though the server got my husband's order wrong, we still enjoyed our meal here. She was enthusiastic if not proficient. He ordered their sushi appetizer and was given the sashimi appetizer. The dish was a much larger portion than expected. And the fish was thickly cut and very fresh. He had a house sake with his fish. I had a Kanisu roll. It was perfectly wrapped with cucumber and stayed together when biting into it. As usual, it was in sunomono sauce and very refreshing. After that I had a shrimp tempura hand roll. I requested no spicy mayo. I asked what was in it and it was a bit different when I hit it than described -- with an added piece of krab stick. Still, it was good and was just the other bite I needed. Right after some boat time, this Sushi Sake was right next door! Friendly staff, and pretty busy when we arrived at 9pm with a party of 7 people. The food was cooked really well, I did feel like the sushi rolls were cut a bit thin at this location but overall they were delicious and fresh. The ambience was like every other sushi sake so well decorated. I do want to point out I did try for the first time something on their secret menu called "Hialeah Rice" which I was shocked at the portion of it feeds 2-3 people easily. Comes with shrimp, chicken, and steak with avocado and a fried egg on top of the fried rice :o Definitely worth a try!!! Highly recommend this location to anyone! read more

I usually love this place im a local and been coming here for years. I got takeout tonight and my sushi rolls were so tiny i couldn't believe it ! Restaurant is beautiful inside! I only ordered takeout which took a standard amount of time around 30 minutes. My only complaint is that I ordered through uber eats which didn't say one of the items would be doused in teriyaki sauce, even though they put a cup of it on the side anyways? So if that's for all forms of takeout and you're like me and hate sauce be aware of that! All in all the food was good aside from that thing but that's my make or break anytime i get sushi and I'll make sure to come again and also now I know for next time. Visit started well. We ordered an order of Goyza and some non alcoholic drinks. For dinner, I ordered chicken teriyaki and my wife ordered 2 simple sushi rolls. My dinner came out and after 25 minutes my wife's sushi still had not come out. Another server offered some more water and we asked to speak to the manager. He was very apologetic and asked what he could do. Since I was waiting to eat my dinner as I was waiting for my wife's, we told him the full meal needed to be comped. He refused and we told him to take the sushi off and give us our bill. He returned with the bill and both entrees comped. We paid for a soda and the appetizer. Extremely poor for a coupe's dinner to not come out together and then watch the 3 sushi chefs preparing to go order after to go order. Manager asked us to see his view. Seeing the pictures on the Internet, I chose to eat, ordered 5 fried rice and a noodle dish, first a bowl of soup was served, and then there was an endless wait, I felt that I had waited for at least 20 minutes and had not come, the key was that there was only one table of us at noon, and there was no one else. The fried rice is very hard, the beef has no taste, and the side dishes are hard to eatIt was all carrots, zucchini, and so on, and when I checked out, they automatically charged me 20%, saying that if there were more than five people, there was no choice but to charge 20%. No Manager...Staff cannot properly provide appropriate service if more than 3 tables are filled...Ordered a soup and a sushi; asked for the soup to come first; and then my sushi did not come out after 45 minutes; continued to ask Waitress and all the other support staff; either they forgot to put in my order; order never arrived; paid for soup after 45 minutes and left; many other tables were served that came in 30 min after me; and the worst of it; no apology; Waitress took no ownership of mistake; bottom line, Waitress said that since I requested soup before the sushi entree, that she was just doing what I asked; I sat at table for 45 minutes after the soup...There is no Manager to complain to; and Waitress was defensive and no apology, no honest explanation; gaslighting; cannot recommend this to anyone (soup was so hot, that had to put 6 ice-cubes in it) read more

Good sushi in the area that tastes fresh and is available for take out. I would suggest eating inside as the portions of the sides and sauces are a bit lacking when you order to go. My husband and I went here for dinner because of the positive reviews. We were seated immediately because we were literally the ONLY guests but never given menus. They had some by the door so we grabbed two. A lot of the rolls are similar in the ingredients, so many have tempura shrimp. And they all seem to come out with tempura flakes. We were very underwhelmed with the flavor and out of the four rolls we ordered, they all tasted the same! Bland is the best word. The lobster roll is NOT worth it, no taste and you would have thought you had another shrimp roll. Upon receiving our bill we noticed that everything we ordered was a dollar more than listed. Plus a homeless tax? When we asked why we didn't receive happy hour price for our donuts and about the prices, the man whom we perceived to be the manager told us those were take out menus. Throughout the whole meal, from before ordering to end, nobody could have told us they were the wrong menu?! And why weren't we given the actual menu?
