HOLLYWOOD ROLL

Lazy sushi and not as advertised. If I'm paying extra for a roll to have other things besides raw fish, the order needs to be completed as such.

miami heat roll and another roll i cant remember the name of lol

Sushi sake as a franchise is delicioussssssssnessssss. This sushi sake was particularly clean, the service was great. And i love the option to sit near their large windows to people watch while you eat! The waiter was nice and attentive. The food was fresh and delicious! My boyfriend and I always get two sushi rolls to share and its enough for the both of us as their servings are large. I know there are a lot of places to eat at the Mile, but if you want to be safe and enjoy a nice meal, stop hy this Sushi Sake! It never disappoints!

Sushi here was pretty good - ordered 4 rolls and it was more than enough for 2. The edamame with the spicy sauce is definitely worth trying. Sat outdoors so the ambiance was okay - ambiance inside was much better. Service was good too - no complaints there.

Great food and nice CG place. Loud music with more eating and less talking. The best was the Beef tataki and UM roll.

I have been coming to this Sushi Maki now for years. My go to dish is their Dragon Roll. Delish. The service is amazing when you get Leroy as your server. He is always attentive and courteous. Love this place!

I wanted my fried rice with no onions and it came out amazing. The food was great and the staff was phenomenal, starting with the hostess. I will definitely come back with my staff. J. Fabian @ MiamiFabian in IG

The rolls disappeared so fast I didnt get pics! We go three rolls to share plus these two apps and everything was so good! Always fresh here. We sat at the cute tables in the back on the ground which was fun! My new fave roll is the tiger roll! Gotta try it!

Located in the heart of the bustling Miracle Mile, Sushi Sake is a gem that combines affordability with exceptional flavors. From their salads and sashimi to creative rolls and drinks, this restaurant offers a delightful journey through Japanese cuisine. We started our meal with the Bobby Salad, a MUST try. A spicy combination of diced tuna & avocado, & crab salad with a touch of sesame seeds & masago presented in a cup-like plate- the flavors really shine in your mouth. The sashimi sampler is a work of art. Fresh slices of tuna, wahoo, eel, salmon, and yellowtail melt in your mouth. Each piece is meticulously prepared, and super fresh. Must mention something for my beer lovers, if you like the usual Japanese beer suspects (Sapporo, Kirin, etc.) they had one from Japan I have never heard of called "Coedo", they actually carry four different beer styles from this brewery which I had never tried and I can only speak to the Black Lager- really, really good beer. I also enjoyed the Hollywood Roll, have always been a fan of simpler 'spicy tuna-like" rolls, just the right balance of tuna and rice, great flavor also. My wife enjoyed a few rolls of her own, and we wrapped up our meal with a "Watermelon Tea" that was super refreshing. Overall, the place had great ambiance, the location is unbeatable- have outdoor dining if you wish right on the mile, service was great, food was super fresh and tasty, and the prices were not outrageous. Would highly recommend, and wifey and I are definitely returning to this gem.

Two adults and two children entered the restaurant to eat some appetizers. When checking out, the bill showed that an 18% tip had been charged. The problem is that there is no notice in the store or on the menu, and no notice to inform customers. Is this only charged to us? We don't have a party of 5 or 6? I deeply feel that I am being treated unfairly and full of discrimination. I hope you can reply to me, strengthen the training of employees, and thank me for evaluating your employees for free.

After a nice candle light concert we were walking back to the car & we're pretty hungry. Lucky us, there was a Sushi Sake right on the other side of the street so we decided to stop by. Since it was super nice out, we decided to go to outdoor dining. They have a great selection of drinks but we only wanted food this time. Most rolls were between $10-20 & they had good appetizer options. Service was super quick, everything we got was flavorful, crispy & warm. Would I go back? Absolutely. Would I try other things on the menu? You bet!

Love the rolls here at sushi sake always made fresh. My top two are the dragon roll and the rainbow roll. The staff is also friendly and welcoming. Perfect location in miracle mile

Since my last horrible 2 star review of this place... I have gone back multiple times, and my experience each time has been undoubtably memorable, but because of one single person that always makes sure it is so. His name is Wesley. The man does it all, and as someone with 20+ years in the service industry who has held every position you can imagine, as well as managed multiple places, I can tell you that it PAYS to keep a person like Wesley around. He makes me the greatest cocktails each time I come by, and holds genuine, great conversations! He speaks in high regard of the company and is passionate about his job. Even coming with fun facts about how chopsticks are more developmental for the mind that western utensils as they require more coordination. I mean, come one! To me, experience is just that! I want to be hungry and thirsty and know I can come out of an eatery with more than just what I was looking for. Even a good laugh is worth spending a bit extra, on like tip per day. I just want to genuinely thank Wesley for always providing me the service that has allowed me to forget that one awful time, because o love this place and because of him I keep coming back.

Probably the worst service I've had in the Miami area. The server was extremely rude . Nobody didn't take care of with us , We had to ask the hostess for our water. Whenever we need water I had to go inside and ask for water she took our order never come back again ! Food comes out 25 min later . Restaurant was pretty empty. My favorite part was when she told me she can pay 12$ for me ! And it was hers mistake ! The waitress who doesn't know how to talk to customers should learn to explain the menu . We did not enjoy our food . They need to up the service game !

Instead, we were sat at the smallest bar seating, which was completely inappropriate and not romantic at all for an occasion like Valentine's Day. As soon as we sat down, I politely asked if we could be moved. The manager then told me that I had booked bar seating, which is simply not true. Why would anyone reserve bar seating a month in advance for Valentine's Day? I checked my reservation confirmation myself and it never stated that, and I even tried making another reservation to verify ..bar seating wasn't even an option. He told us he would "see what he could do," and we were left waiting at the bar with no water, no menus, no service, and no communication whatsoever. Meanwhile, we watched multiple couples get seated at proper tables back-to-back. At one point, we even overheard another couple say their reservation was at the same time as ours, and they were seated at a table immediately. When I tried to politely ask for an update, the manager or owner completely ignored me. No acknowledgment, no apology, nothing. I was honestly in shock at how disrespectful and dismissive they were. We ended up getting up and leaving because of how uncomfortable and disrespected we felt. Valentine's Day is supposed to be special, and this restaurant completely ruined that experience.

And this trip I absolutely fell in love with the spinach cheese dip. My one complaint is why does it only come with three toasties? I had to ask for more, which they gladly accommodated me - and the same with the guys next to me. But if you're bringing me a whole bowl of deliciousness, I need more than three toasties with it!!!

One thing I love about Magie is they are always going to uplift folks in the community - be it with space for local businesses who don't have brick and mortars to pop-up and sell food, or by creating a space for locals to hang and get work done and not be bored in their houses. I can definitely see myself at Cafe Magie on Fridays this summer. Service is always so friendly here, and the space is so cozy it's perfect to get work done, and then once the clock strikes wine-o-clock you can enjoy wine while you work, too!

We came in and immediately someone came over and was eager to walk us through the process and made a handful of recommendations especially when it came to the wine. The gentleman whose name I didn't get unfortunately, was extremely kind and helpful, the service here was amazing and we ended up loving the wine he recommended us. The food was also great we ordered the Caesar Fries, the Magie Plate which came with the bread, strawberry spread and some olives and pickles for the meats, we also got the Hot Dog and everything we had was really good. The ambiance is very nice it's a cozy little hole in the wall that you would definitely miss driving by it. Outside patio area had a lot of seating and as well as couches. Everything was great and I am now hooked on a wine thanks to the recommendation by the team here!

As others have stated, Magie is good in concept and we'll likely return here, but with just a bit…read moremore effort on their part this wine bar could be so much better IMO. Unlike some other reviewers that scoffed at the prices of the wine, that didn't bother me so much. We had a bottle here that cost $55 and it retails for about $28; I was OK with that, as all restaurants and wine bars have a markup above retail, and even when you go to spots like Happy Wine or El Carajo and pick out a bottle to drink while in their shop, they charge a corkage fee for that. What I did have a problem with is that, after the "service charge" and other fees were added on, our $55 bottle rang up to more than $73 in total, which was ludicrous. When we first arrived at Magie we were met by a young guy who pointed out the bottles and where the various charcuterie items are located in the coolers, and we were then pretty much left on our own. We really just wanted a glass of wine each, but unlike places like Vinoteca, here at Magie they had a very limited selection of wines by the glass, and the ones available all seemed to come in single-serve cans. We picked out a bottle to share, went to the register, paid and the guy opened it and handed us 2 glasses. When I returned to get napkins, the guy just motioned to where the napkins were so I could grab my own (after moving a delivery cart out of the way by myself so I could reach them). Again, though this place includes an automatic "service charge", we received zero actual "service" unless one considers the 45 seconds it takes to uncork our bottle and charge us for the purchase. We had a seat, had a glass of wine each and then re-corked our bottle of wine and took it with us. Overall I think Magie is a great concept with lots of potential. The inside seating area is interestingly decorated and outfitted with lots of eclectic furniture and items on the walls, and the relatively large patio seating out front with tables for 2 to 8 people is shielded from the adjacent street/traffic and shaded by lots of trees and greenery. The ambiance overall is really very nice. The service, however, was non-existent, especially considering the automatic charge for that, and while prices of at least some wines aren't terribly out of line, the fact that all the service charges, taxes and fees added $20 to the cost of our bottle was a bit of a shocker. Magie should consider adding more wines by the glass IMO. Not just subpar quality single-serve cans, but decent wines, poured from a proper bottle with a topper that preserves the wine between pours like most every quality wine bar commonly offers. Lastly, while I don't think anyone expects linen napkins and white glove service, the paper plates and plastic cutlery customers are given to eat with are a bit off vs. what this place appears to be trying to be and the prices charged. The "F*ck Brunch" positioning statement on the back of the staffs' shirts was an interesting touch.

Another time was a weeknight evening with some fellow moms, and another was for a wine tasting that we noticed as we walked by. Sometimes, I have just stopped in to buy a bottle to take to dinner. Each visit has been great. It's a really cozy, welcoming place, with walls of wines of varying price points. The wine by the glass and snack/tapas menu is perfect, and if you are interested in having one of the many bottles that they sell, you will find knowledgeable help in identifying something you'll enjoy (and maybe something you haven't heard of before), at a price you are comfortable with.

They sell bottles of wine, imported olive oils, lots of (mostly European) wines by the glass, and light bites like charcuterie, small pizzas and popcorn. We've come here a few times, our dog was welcome, staff were friendly and outgoing, offering us various tabletop games like tic-tac-toe to pass the time, and once we'd both ordered a few glasses of wine, they offered us complimentary popcorn - something they normally charge for. Wines on their "by the glass" menu average about $16 each, and most staff pour them behind the bar where they have a gauge to measure out each one. The food prep area behind the bar is quite small (which is why they don't have a large menu), but so is this little gem of a wine spot in general. It's cozy, eclectic and great for a glass of wine and a small snack, or a nightcap after having dinner elsewhere. It's good for singles at the bar, or an intimate spot for couples and smaller groups. Vinoteca seems to have found their niche, and they've filled it quite nicely. That said, I'm not sure the staff, at least the ones working on the nights we've come, have a lot of knowledge about wines or are in the position to talk at length about their various selections.
