The owner and his family are amazing people! Everyone works as a team to ensure service is maintained and you have a great dining experience. The server I had was extremely attentive and helpful. He gave me recommendations including one that wasn't on the menu, a hand roll called the Wild Thing. I like spicy, and this one delivered. They had some really good fish here. I ordered a whole bunch of different nigiri and you could tell everything was of very high quality. My favorites of the night were salmon, scallop, and uni. Also the salmon skin roll was probably one of the best IO've ever had - nice and crispy salmon skin. The only miss of the night was the fish lollipop? At least I think that's what the name was. My review is on the rolls only. I don't know how else to say this except the 4 of the 5 rolls tasted (eel, special cucumber, sex on the beach, and tempura) lacked any sort of adventure or pizzazz my wife and I have come to expect when we're really enjoying our sushi. Hands down one of the best sushi place around Dallas area. We had a little birthday party and ordered a bunch of sushi which was recommended by one of the family member . Drove by it almost everyday and never had a chance to eat here. Finally the moment awaits and it didn't disappoint my taste . They are known for their nigiri so we ordered a bunch . Everything was fresh from the sashimi to the rolls . The hamachi Kama was big and flavorful with the ponzu sauce . Wish their wasabi was more potent and stronger. I have been on the hunt for my favorite affordable sushi spot in North Dallas and right now it is definitely Sushi Rock. The fish quality is incredible, and the nigiri/sushi roll sizes are very well sized. It is not the cheapest sushi, but for the quality you get I think it is 100% worth it. Some of our favorites are the seared salmon (so smokey and flavorful), the scallop nigiri, fatty tuna, yellowtail, and the quail egg on top of unagi as a nigiri piece is something I have never had before. Although I prefer nigiri to actual rolls now, we did order the Spider Roll and I really enjoyed it. They also have a lunch special that I think is a great deal, you get five pieces of nigiri and a spicy tuna + california roll for like $18 or something (I dont remember the exact price but remember thinking it was a great deal). Another part of the lunch special is you can get a teriyaki bowl with different protein options. We got the steak bowl and the steak was cooked a perfect medium rare, and the teriyaki sauce was delicious and tasted incredible paired with the rice. Service is great, they walk around and check on you often. The place is a little small so seating can be a little tough if you come on a busy weekend night. read more

I have lived in North Dallas Richardson are for over 40 years and traditionally go to locally owned restaurants to support independent business. If something is off I kindly inform them. However when I take another person to turn them on to a restaurant and order basic spicy tuna roll and rainbow roll, stuffed tuna Jalapeños and the sushi taste is funky, tangy, salty, slimy and leaves a bad residue in your mouth you feel it is kind to inform the owners discreetly so they know and can remedy it. Response was it taste good and nothing is wrong with the taste and act defensive as if something is wrong with both of us is very concerning. Now as my stomach rumbles and I feel dehydrated my review is do not go to this restaurant period for they do not care!! To many sushi restaurants in town that are far more caring of their customers and their quality! I can see why it was so empty for lunch and the dinner crowd as diminished. read more

Deceptive practice. They should be called Suishi rip-off Instead of Suishi Rock. I normally don't write reviews. Three of us were there for lunch last Friday. I was trying to impress my friends from Houston with the suishi in Dallas. We ordered a lot of items. We also ordered a bottle of sparkling wine. When we received our bill, they tried to charge us for two bottles and 63% more from the listed price. It was from 40.00 to 65. Listed price was 10 a glass so we decided to order a bottle instead. The waiter told us the price per bottle has changed and was not updated. We asked for the manager. We had seen him around 5 minutes into our meal. The waiter got the nerve and lied about no manager because he is in the hospital. Why would i want to pay 65.00 a bottle when it was only 10.00 a glass. It would only be 60.00 for 6 drinks. They refused to correct our bill. Please see pictures. I will never set foot in this place again. If you want an ethical business place, do not go there. read more

Some great sushi in the berbs! Very consistent through out the years. Quality of the fish is always fresh. They are about to change their hours and only be open Tuesday - Saturday starting May 2023. Small place so be patient if you have to wait for a seat. They do have option for sitting outside. We had hot sake with water. We are a sashimi fans so we had, squid, salmon, yellow tail, white fish carpaccio. Each dish came with at least one shiso leaf! It's my fav leaf when eating sushi/sashimi. It gives it a great flavor.
