Had an excellent dinner at Sushi Sen last night. Everything we ordered was super fresh and beautifully presented. We tried the Mystery Roll, Caterpillar Roll, and Alaskan Roll, along with a variety of sushi and sashimi. The sashimi, especially the otoro and salmon, was the highlight. Fresh, buttery, and full of flavor. The appetizers were just as impressive. The calamari tempura and rock shrimp were perfectly crispy without being heavy, and both had great texture and flavor. Overall, a great sushi experience with excellent quality, presentation, and service. Definitely looking forward to coming back again. P.s. outdoor patio has TVs! The food was SPECTACULAR! Absolutely loved the vibe with the lighting and overall decor of the interior, as it made my friends and I feel comfy and at home on a Friday night. The service was nothing short of amazing. We came in when the shop was "technically" closed and were only accepting takeout orders, but the employees still had grins on their faces and were happy to take our orders. As we were leaving too, they still wished us a wonderful night and had such a great attitude overall. Definitely wanna come back to this place VERY soon. read more

First off, I have had visited this sushi location a couple years ago and it was good. Came back last night as we were in town on vacation. There is a new owner who is also the sushi chef. We had a combination of sashimi, sushi, and rolls. It was all amazing. See my pics from our visit 10/8/2025. I highly recommend the Temple Crispy Rice. It's a vegan alternative, but the spicy tofu pulled off an amazing appetizer with so much flavor. We opted for the Bluefin, Salmon Belly, and Yellowtail Belly Sashimi. All were extremely fresh and delicious. The Uni was also fresh and clean. The restaurant is on Main Street with both inside and outside seating. We opted for inside and the chairs were very comfortable. There were two large TV's with the baseball game on with closed caption. They have a nice selection of both American and Japanese Beers and wine. We really enjoyed the food and excellent service and we will definitely visit again when we are in town. This place was delicious. I highly recommend it. It is in Venice Beach and it's super cute and cozy. We sat outside and had a great experience. And had a great waitress. My friend ordered the healthy sushi which don't have carbs and they were surprisingly delicious. I will order that next time I go back. read more

The rolls were pretty pricey. Decent quality and the outdoor seating was pleasant enough. Unlikely to revisit however as the price is a bit unreasonable. Lowering this from 2 stars to 1 because the owner falsely claimed this isn't his restaurant. You can even see the name in the upper left background of the picture I posted. The phone number of the business is literally in the photo and he's denying that it is his restaurant. What a joke. read more

This sushi was life changing. We were visiting for our anniversary, and we actually cancelled our original dinner plans to come back! After our golf game, we wanted to eat some Asian food and happened to see this place. So we decided to check it out. I have to say that their tempura is freaking awesome, as a matter of fact I will come back here just for the tempura. We got the bento box and that was definitely worth the money and very filling. We chose salmon collar, spicy tuna roll and mixed tempura for the sides. This was a good deal! We also ordered the crunchy tempura roll and it was good but not great. Nice cozy restaurant with warm vibes and AMAZING sushi. I'm pretty picky with my sushi and came here without any high expectations but oh my everything here was BEYOND amazing. We sat at the sushi bar but next time I want to try sitting outside in the patio because their patio was beautifully decorated :)) We started out with some baked mussels, yellowtail kama, and crispy rice spicy tuna. My favorite was the crispy rice spicy tuna!! So yummy. We moved on to some carpaccios which were SO SO SO SO SOOOO GOOD. And the chef recommended us to order the tofu steak and honestly that took me by a surprise because it was soooo flavorful!! You must get that for sure. Everything was great, service was even better. We used to love it here!! Super fresh nigiri, amazing rolls and good service. We just went and apparently there's new owners, but everything tasted terrible, the sushi was not fresh at all. The toro nigiri and king salmon both tasted like they had been sitting out and had some weird gold garnish that didn't hide the fact that it was not as good as it used to be. They forgot to add the salmon to the Superman burrito but when they brought it- it tasted even worse so we didn't eat it. We also sent back a happy hour roll after eating one piece because the tuna on top did not taste good at all. On top that that- I have a terrible stomach ache now. We used to be regulars are bummed the new owners have ruined our favorite neighborhood sushi spot- even the shishito peppers were overcooked and had a sweet sauce I wasn't a fan of.
