I'm a sushi purist so Wabi didn't hit the mark for me. All the sushi is "with a twist" and for me had too much mayo and other sauces. Not to say it wasn't tasty but it was just too heavy for my taste. We had the crispy rice with spicy tuna to start. The rice was nice and crisp/chewy, and there was a good size portion of tuna on top. This was the favorite. We also had the baked crab roll and tiger king roll. Both tasted ok but I prefer to let the fish shine and have less mayo/sauce/mango/etc.

Came on a Thursday afternoon with a reservation for 3. Asked the hostess if we could sit in a booth outside and she was very accommodating. Our waitress was friendly and extremely attentive. Food and drinks were exceptional. Can't wait to come back and try the rest of the menu!

Wonderful first time experience! Jade was an amazing server and we enjoyed several of her recommendations! Cocktails: Keke Palmer, Japanese Old Fashion, and Soko Sake. Appetizers: Edamame and Crispy Rise (comes with 4 pieces). Entrees: Sushi Platter Tiger King Roll Cross Cross Lemon Sauce Rick James Moonlight Roll We very much enjoyed the sushi platter, Rick James roll and the Criss Cross Lemon Sauce. The ambiance is great with intimate couches and plants everywhere. Would recommend coming here again and again.

Love this environment and restaurant experience. Cucumber avo roll and plant based shawty were delicious though I wouldn't mind another vegan option

Absolutely love coming here; very cute outdoor seating, intimate and has heaters. Great for a group dinner. Also love the indoor bar space if you want more casual dining. Great assortment of traditional sushi and some vegetarian/ vegan options. I love the tempura - it is so crunchy, I've never had anything like it! Also MUST get the edamame, maybe even one just for yourself. Staff is incredibly kind and attentive; I love bringing folks from out of town here so they can have a cute but elevated Venice experience!

This is the sushi spot you go to with the girls or for date night. They offer great happy hour specials, too! The interior is beautiful and the service is always amazing. I love the toro nigiri and the spicy tuna rolls, and the cocktails are strong yet perfectly balanced. Honestly, I don't think I've ever ordered anything here that I didn't like.

It's been a while since I had been to Venice and I had a chance to meet one of my friends who is visiting from Florida and we had fun but the service was ATROCIOUS!! Our waiter forgot our drink order and then he completely spaced out and we had to remind him to bring the second round of sushi. The food is way overpriced for the quality which is mediocre at best. This was my first time at this particular location, I went to the old Wabi Sabi on Abbott Kenny, which was 100 times better. I probably would not come back because of their unorganized chaos.

Amazing service, amazing food . The energy is also amazing with great music, great sitting and views. I made a reservation for the couch on the patio couple of weeks ago for Valentine's Day asking on the notes for a specific type of table and they did deliver!! Thank you for the great service and delicious food! We will be back !

Tbh I love it here. It's so cute, the seating area has cute shades of pink and definitely has a nice aesthetic. I always come here for their spicy tuna on crispy rice and their steak skewers, sooo so good. And the service is always fantastic!

Made a reservation for a table here not knowing what to expect, and wow was I impressed! Not only is it a just restaurant, but the atmosphere of the whole place is so lively! I would say it is a restaurant/bar type of vibe, so if you're looking for a fun night out along with a delicious dinner this is the spot. You can come here to sit down and eat, or you can just come for drinks to enjoy the music and good vibes. We tried a few of the dishes because the menu was just irresistible. I was a bit worried at first since I am not a huge fan of fish and this is a sushi restaurant, but there were soo many options. The Crispy Rice was full of flavor, the Broccolini was seasoned perfectly, and the Chicken Karaage was also so crunchy in the best way. But the Spicy Wagyu Dumplings and Skirt Steak Skewers is what really won my heart. The Skewers were bursting with flavor and I was blown away, highly recommended! There is also a beautiful outdoor seating area with a nice ambiance, and the cocktails are tasty as well.

For the ambience, I'm giving it 4.5 stars and for the food I'm giving it 2.5 stars, so I sent summed it up to about three stars. To be quite honest, I didn't think sushi in Venice was going to be the best anyways however we were in the area and craving sushi. The only sushi roll that I actually liked that we got was the one with the caviar and truffle sauce on it, and the one with tuna and jalapeño on top. I'm not sure of the names, but that is what they consisted of those two were actually pretty good, the other ones I ordered were not good to me. The car chicken was a 4/10. The steak skewers a 7/10. The wontons were gross tbh, I took them back and ordered the skewers instead. And the hamachi sashimi was a 4/10. One of the reasons we decided to go to this restaurant is because we seen the amazing pictures on Yelp. However, when we got there, the server told us that they've changed the menu a lot and removed a lot of things. I saw a picture of the wontons from five days ago (from when I went) and they had apparently switch the recipe for the wontons. They looked so good in the picture and I'm sure they were better. Not sure why they would replace them. The ambience is cute though, and I like how they have indoor outdoor however, the service wasn't the best

Wow had a splendid time! The food was actually really good! The crispy rice was probably the least favorite dish and that's saying a lot!!! Started off with oysters (juicy, fresh, great) 8/10 Crispy rice 6/10 Yellow special: 9/10 Baked crab Handroll: 9/10 Wagyu dumplings 9/10 *** pro tip save the chili oil/ gochujang and dip those baked crab handrolls makes it a 10/10 We ordered all the snappers and Japanese snapper was our favorite. Ordered all the belly's too and that was great. Uni was too oceanic tasting that day Bluefin and toro was aite. We ordered a bunch of stuff and the quality was good! I definitely will be back to try others. Service was slow in the beginning but I think it's because we were hangry. Our server had the entire outside section so I'm sure he was busy. He was personable by the middle of our meal. I liked how he paced out the food! Thank you! I hate when all the food comes at once. Huge pet peeve The heaters outside are a nice touch, booths are comfy and isolated which I like! Pretty cool date night or girls night! Had a great time

After years of living here, I finally tried Wabi, and it was such a delightful surprise! This place has a serene vibe and fantastic service. We tried different rolls like the Philadelphia, California, and the Criss-Cross Lemon Sauce roll, which our waiter recommended--it was perfectly spicy and unique. The outdoor dining area, a perfect setting for a memorable night out with friends, adds to the value of the experience. While Wabi may be considered a bit pricey, the quality of the food and service justifies every penny. Each sushi plate is delicious. The ambiance is delightful, and the sushi is probably the best in the area. It's also a haven for those seeking a combination of refreshing drinks and delectable sushi. I'm eagerly looking forward to my next visit to explore more of their offerings!

Do people enjoy sitting inside or on the patio better?

We liked the patio more!

Do they have keto options? I think I saw a picture of tuna roll without rice on their open table pictures, but it's not written on the menu.

They have sashimi!

Is there valet?

Pretty crazy I don't believe there was valet so you had to park your own car for $20 and there was a homeless guy going in between the cars with a baseball bat

Going to this restaurant for the first time tomorrow. Any suggestions on where to park? Thank you in advance 🙂!

We found parking on a nearby street.

What is the Rick Ross roll made of and is it not available on the menu anymore?

I talked to the manager about this last week. He was really busy so I appreciated he didn't mind (or didn't act like he did :)) talking with me about it. Long story short, he said he's never gonna give you up, never gonna let you down, never gonna…

Are dogs allowed? Thanks!

Yes

What's a good item to order?

The Rick James Roll is AMAZING

They don't have a lot of the beginner or over the top type of rolls. Everything is just very straightforward. One of my favorite parts is they have indoor and outdoor seating, but if you choose to sit outdoor, which is what we did, you're able to sit in a covered patio on the second floor and have almost views of the bay, but still really nice views of the area. Service here is very fast and our waiter did not really speak English but was very attentive. It's in a small shopping center so there is a lot of free parking attached, otherwise it will be street parking. For this visit, we just did a mix of nigiri, hand rolls, and cut rolls. I would say some of the highlights were the yellowtail nigiri, the baked crab roll, the salmon roll, and one of my personal favorites: the spider hand roll. They have a revolving menu with some things that stay and other limited run specials so it's the sort of place where you can get something new each visit. I will definitely be back again soon and would recommend.

We came during off hours-ish (around 1pm) and were able to be seated immediately at the bar. There was a bit of a wait for an actual table. My friend and I both opted to get the Nozawa set menu, which had a mix of sashimi/nigiri/hand rolls. I don't usually eat hand rolls, but this was a great first time experience. The menu is well crafted and the timing at which the food is brought out to you is also thoughtfully planned. I can't even pick a favorite because everything was delicious. The Nozawa set was also a good amount of food. Ambiance was great, and the bar was a great spot for people watching. There are a lot of small touches which make dining here a great experience, such as how fast your plates are cleared, and how the bathroom even has unscented vs scented hand soap depending on if you're washing your hands before or after your meal. Even though I have dietary restrictions, I'm pretty sure there's going to be something on the menu that I could eat. Now when I got there and I saw the very brief menu, I was stunned and I was like, oh my gosh, I should've looked at the menu before I came here This looks like I'm about to be eating a bunch of raw fish. But to my surprise when I looked closely, I was able to see that there was a whole section of grilled foods and appetizers that I could eat. I ended up ordering: - the miso soup - the edamame - the cucumber salad (for appetizers) - sea bass - oyster mushrooms - shrimp - the ginkgo nuts Every single food item that I ordered was delicious. I was genuinely surprised by how flavorful everything was and I was particularly impressed with the sea bass and oyster mushrooms. These two dishes were phenomenal. I don't know how they made that sea bass so flaky and moist and just melt in your mouth but it was so good. I don't know what sauce they put on top of it but that thing was amazing. The oyster mushrooms were so good that we ordered two more orders of it. For the edamame, the only thing I didn't like was that it was served cold. I don't know if that's like a traditional way of serving it or something but I'm used to having my edamame be served warm or hot so that was unusual for me. The server was amazing, super attentive and very kind. He always made sure we had what we needed and there was even something that was mistakenly served to us but he took it off the bill and allowed my friend to eat it anyway so we were grateful for him. He was also really good at explaining the menu and the dishes that he liked. The vibe in here is social but a little classy. There were these ladies that were sitting to the left of us and one of them just randomly started talking to us and asking us if we were from the neighborhood, which was a little odd because... why are you asking me those questions??? Other than that the vibe was fine and I would definitely come back here again. One thing to note though is that the food is served kind of like tapas style so if you're expecting massive portions and to be stuffed to discomfort, this is not the place where that's going to happen.
