The sushi was alright, but the service was kind of terrible... our waitress was very nice, however right as we got there it seemed like she wanted us to ordered before sitting down or even looking at the menu and then came back less than a minute later to ask again. Afterwords she took forever to come back around. When she did bring out our sushi, one of them was wrong and we had to send it back. We got 3 rolls and 1 order of yellowtail sashimi. She delivered the first two plates and someone else brought us the last one. on one of the plates we didn't have any wasabi or pickled ginger... the waitress never came around to check on us. Got to say this place is amazing. Everyone needs to try it. I love the Philadelphia rolls. Normally in other places the cream cheese is so over powering that you forget your eating sushi, in this place it's not. Their prices are really reasonable too. read more

Godzilla roll is delicious I usually get 2 and I'm good to go teriyaki and noodle dishes are good teriyaki is better then any of the yakisoba order to go it is small and cramped inside and it is ALWAYS crowded and loud. Good service. read more

Omg the service was aweful!!! So bad that I felt it was my duty to school the staff on how to say hi & at least acknowledge people when they came into the resturant. I said hi to the waitress to be acknowleged so we might get a seat or on the list. Her response was " I can't say hi, I have too many things to remember"! HUH??? I've read the other reviews about how great this place was, so maybe I just happen to have a bad dish made. I came in and order a beef teriyaki bowl to go. When I ate it, it was literally beef swimming in teriyaki sauce. There were two slices of veggies and the rest was rice. I just could not finish the bowl and had to throw it away... It almost made me sick :( The service was pretty fast which saved this review from being only 1 star. Maybe everything would have been better if I dined in, but I won't coming back. read more

My daughter, the sushi fan, and I were here for dinner on July 17th while traveling up Hwy 1. Service was somewhat slow but cheerful. I ordered take-out from Sushi Teri. When I called to place the order, my call was answered quickly and the person was friendly and I could hear the smile in her voice. I ordered the spicy tuna roll,two scallop rolls and a mastercard roll. For four rolls, the price was around $27. Not bad. When I arrived 15 or so minutes later, my order was ready to go despite the fact that the restaurant was pretty busy. The sushi was okay. I've definitely had better. The fish was fresh and tasted good. The avocado in my mastercard roll was a little on the green side but I was most disappointed with the amount of rice in my rolls. The rice wasn't well seasoned so it watered down the flavor of the fish. For the price, it was good. I would have paid the same for half the rice, though. read more

We were regular patrons of sushi Teri for over 20 years, they even named a roll after us. Last Friday night we were with friends who were also loyal customers of sushi Teri, they had a $50 dollar gift certificate, given to them by very good friends for a 60th birthday, also loyal customers, the cashier would not accept the certificate saying they use different ones! We argued that this was their certificate bought by there loyal customers from this restaurant! We asked him to call the owner which he did. My husband and the woman who the certificate belonged to spoke to the owner, and he pretty much said he would not accept it, like it was counterfeit or something!!! We will never step foot again in this restaurant! Owners and management you just made a very bad and costly decision!! Lompoc is a small town and word spreads fast!! Since Leroy left it has gone down hill! read more

I am very disappointed with my experience at Sushi Teri last night. The waitress was very rude and the fish was not fresh. To start when when the waitress asked what we'd like to drink she didn't stop walking...she didn't even look at us, she just said said "two waters" (not what we asked for) and just kept on walking past the table. I had to call her back to the table and she was angry about it. When I asked what kind of cold sake they had she said "small and large". I asked if they had different kinds to chose from and she said "no, just small and large". So I asked what the difference in the small and large sizes were, she sarcastically said "one is small and one is large". We should have walked out. We were done with our drinks and my BF was in the bathroom by the time she came back to take our order. The food came quickly and all at once. Soup, salad, appetizer and sushi all in the table at once. It was ridiculous. I didn't eat one of the rolls because the albacore smelled fishy and looked dry and a little sticky. It makes me very sad to see what had become if this place. Oh...and when we were leaving I saw all of the other bottles of cold sake available in the refrigerator. So I guess there was other sake besides "small and large". This place sucks. read more

I was a big fan of Sushi Teri before Leroy left (manager and part owner I think). After he left I quit going because they seemed to rush you in and rush you out. The manager was always standing at the cash register looking around to see who was almost done so he could seat the next people. After not going for at least a year we decided to try it again and it was pretty good. So, yesterday I took a friend and went back again. I ordered a cabbage salad as part of my order and it was completely inedible. Swimming in salad dressing and not drained from water. I complained to the very young and not very experienced waitress and she tried to tell me it was supposed to be. I had recommended one to my friend as well and she didn't eat hers either. I let it go until it came time to pay the bill then showed another waitress. I won't go back. I really hate paying good money for BAD food and even more I hate dealing with people who are in the service business who are completely inept. I hated to write a bad review because it makes me feel guilty about writing something bad about a local business but it was that bad. I took a picture of the cabbage salad but I don't see how I can put a pic on the review. Looks like a glob of shredded cabbage in a bowl of water. read more

Great sushi and really good prices. But service is AWFUL. So slow and not mindful of the fact that military personnel are on a limited lunch break. Sat at the sushi bar once and took almost two hours to get our rolls, but the waitresses are much worse. And their hours are very random and even when the sign out front says they are open for another hour, they will tell you they have closed. Overall, if you have a few hours to spare definitely go and have some food, but realize the wait staff is terrible. read more

Tonight we really wanted sushi, but the little one was not in the mood for sitting in a resturant so we called in and ordered our food for pick up. We were told that it would be ready in 20 minutes. So we loaded up the little one real quick to pick it up. We got to the resturant 25 mins after ordering. Only to be told that it wasn't ready, that it was going to be another 10 minutes. Went there with a group. Food was good. Server needs schooling. He actually said a portion size depends on how big his tip was...Joking, but not professional for sure. I have eaten sushi all over the world and have lived in such places as San Francisco and San Diego where fresh fish is everywhere. This is by far one of the best sushi restaurants in which I have had the pleasure to eat. The fish is very fresh, the portions are generous and the prices are very reasonable for a sushi restaurant. I took friends of mine who were visiting from San Diego to Sushi Teri and they were dumbfounded about how wonderful this small sushi restaurant was. They agreed with me that this restaurant has now spoiled me for all other restaurants. Great selection of specialty rolls and service is great too. Now that I live in Santa Rita Hills, Sushi Teri will be a weekly dining spot for me if not more often. read more

I have to eat sushi at least twice a week. Exploring sb county my choice is Sushi Teri Lompoc. The 2 chefs are great, servers pay close attention, always making everything is ok. I've had Sushi Teri in Goleta,Carpentaria and Lompoc plus Santa Maria and SB locations, I would have to give Lompoc Sushi Teri the 5 stars for quality and service. We all love Leroy, but remember he trained the current staff minus management. That counts for something. read more
