Where to begin. We had to re-order some appetizer 3 times before they brought it out. The service is horrendous, not bad, not hit or miss, like run the other way bad. They stopped at our table zero times to see how we were doing. When we asked for help, they walked right by. The whole place was running around like chickens with there heads cut off. I couldn't' believe some people in my group had been there more than once. I have never left zero dollars as a tip, but this would have been the place to start. Shocked at the $19.95 AYCE price tag a friend and I had to try out Sushi Time. Arrived at 6pm on a Thursday and the place was pretty empty. It has a traditional Japanese feel to it and is a decent size. They have AC units on the walls but they were not turned on. It was 85 out. Sooo....when do you turn these on? Anywho, we sit down and get tossed 2 menus with tons of sushi and kitchen items on them. We go a bit nuts with the ordering. Skewers of all kinds, tempura, udon soup, salad, gyoza, shumai, rock shrimp, crab salad and a boat load of rolls / sashimi. The kitchen items come out and look like they are made for kids. Bite sized everything. Salad that is 4 wet pieces of lettuce. Rock shrimp was quoted as "looking like the dehydrated cup-o-noodle shrimp" (although the sauce was good) and crab salad that lacked crab. While this would normally suck, we simply ordered more the second time around. No bigs. The sushi came out and was OK. Rolls and sashimi ranged from a 2.5-3 out of 5 on the sushi scale. What really weirded me out was that they had a roll on the regular menu for $13 that had Spicy tuna, crunch with tuna & red tobiko on top. Soooo your saying for $19 I can order as much tuna sashimi and spicy tuna as I want, but for $13 I can get one roll? Surely I'm eating lesser tuna right? I dunno. Conspiracy theory right there. In the end, I left stuffed and spent $26 including tip. Not too bad. Would I come here again? Nah. Does AYCE go against what I think sushi is all about? Yep. They are my guinea pigs as i learn what i like and dont like.They call it a buffet, but this is no Sizzler. They hand you a piece of paper when you sit down with all the menu options. You put the quantity next to each item and that's it. FYI- its all you can eat, but if you load up on the first round you probably wont need seconds. As far as the quality of sushi goes (and again, maybe I wouldn't know any better) everything has always seemed fresh and delicious to me. I've been told by people who know a thing or 2 about sushi (rolling my eyes) that this place isn't the best they've ever had, but for the price and overall its certainly not bad. They've gone back more than once so i guess that says something. The pricing for Fri and Sat night is $21.95 a person +drinks\tax\tip. For 2 people, it came to $60, tip included. Yea, i guess $30 a person isn't so cheap. But look at it like this. If you go to an Applebee's or Fridays, how much is it going to be, like $20 a person? So i've never had a negative experience here until now. First off, the servers are literally racing to get the plates off of your table whether you're finished eating or not. 3 servers came by that tried to take the same plate with food still on it in the time span of about 2 mins within getting food. Then my girlfriend received a piece of crab that had the plastic entirely still on it. Thank god she noticed while picking off some of the tempura because if she took a bite it could've been a trip to the hospital. They then came to the table apologizing frantically promising they would make it up to us by discounting our bill and they only took off about 5 bucks. We ordered another round of rock shrimp and the waitress obviously just forgot to put it in so we never got it. went to sushi time 560 at the suggestion of a friend who got a flyer in the mail promising all you can eat sushi for $21.95 - admittedly i was skeptical, but the promise of bottomless sushi was too good to resist...in the end, it was a leap of faith well worth it upon arrival we discovered a crowd of people waiting to get in - thankfully we had made a reservation & were seated within 10 minutes...it was at this point that we discovered the interesting style in which sushi time operates their all you can eat deal...the table receives 2 checklists: one for kitchen items, one for sushi bar items...basically, you write down how much you want of each item, hand it to the server, and they bring it all over in a few minutes with a deal like this at such a low price, you might expect cheap rolls with far too much rice looking to stretch their budget any way possible...and you would be wrong...the quality of the rolls here was surprisingly good, everything fresh & delicious - not quite up to kotobuki standards, but still a damn good product...and it's not a small menu either, you can get everything from sashimi to their specialty rolls on this deal, so it really is a great way to try new stuff...oh, and if you want more, they bring you another list so why 4 stars and not 5? two reasons...number one, the checklist is per table, not per person, and everything is put on the table family style...our group of 6 wasn't particular & didn't mind sharing (the lazy susan on the table was clever too), but it was tough for some in our party to decipher which rolls were which since it was all on a few big platters...i could see where this could cause confusion/unease for someone who's more particular about their food my only other complaint is the beverage service - cans of soda in a sit down restaurant? c'mon now, man up & get a fountain, i can't stand when places do that overall, a great little place for some good sushi at a very reasonable price...if you're feeling adventurous and want to try some things you've never had before without breaking the bank, this would be a great place to start read more

After reading reviews I expected this place to be an experience in and of itself. That's pretty much what went on. Pro tip? Hit up the Bethpage Wine & Liquors Store down the row and grab a bottle of draft sake. The experience getting sake was better than expected, but on to Sushi Time 560. I'm not going to lie, there are some things you may have to look past, but they're absolutely A Okay. When I first walked in, there was a bit of a fishy smell, but by the time I reached my table I didn't notice it anymore. I think Febreze calls that noseblind. When you get to the table, you order with a pen and pieces of paper. These pieces of paper are the menu, and you check off what you want. There are two pieces of paper to order with. One for appetizers, soup and salad, and one for sushi. You would think with three people and two order sheets they would give us at least two pens, but we had to do with one. Off the app menu I ordered soup, and gyoza, which are dumplings. Together the three of us got a pile of rolls off the sushi menu. Go with the filet mignon roll, we got that for both rounds one and two. For round two we didn't get any pens, bring your own. Soup? I ordered that twice and didn't get it once, but I'll still come back. I'll just be sure to bring my own pen, my own booze and perhaps my own soup. They didn't want me eating soup. When all was said and done i went home and took a food coma nap. I look forward to going back again with my huge appetite. read more

You cannot beat the deal here - all you can eat sushi/apps/teryaki/tempura. Very comfortable atmosphere - not much in the way of decor. You get seated and at each table is a slip that you must fill out if you want to do the all you can eat option. They have a menu for the hot options/apps and a menu for the sushi/dessert. Some of the apps we tried were the mushroom soup (awesome), the salad (love the dressing), chicken teryaki (fair), tempura (awesome!), beef negemaki and the shumai/dumplings. Everything was delicious. And the best part being that you can order as much of it as you want. Sushi that was ordered includes: gozilla roll (fried goodness), avocado/cucumber roll, my poersonal favorite the peanut/avocado roll and much, much more. Also, all you can eat allows you to try new things. I like that the menu has other items besides sushi, it keeps things interesting. One of my complaints was the bathroom and communication with the staff. I think it is a cultural thing. The place is average on cleanliness too. First time I came here was with a large group for the "all you can eat" sushi offer. With such a large group, we ordered a little bit of everything so I was able to try many different kinds of sushi since it's served family style. Almost everything I tried was good, but the Philadelphia Rolls and their specialty Godzilla Rolls were amazing! The Godzilla Rolls, looked and tasted great and had this nice crispiness about them and were just bursting with flavor. Philadelphia Rolls were nice and creamy and everything tasted really fresh. My daddy was upset about the waitstaff it's the worst but I think the all you can eat and the food makes up for it so I'm not going to complain. Located in a strip mall in Bethpage, the location is nothing fancy, but it's affordable and BYOB, bonus there is a liquor store a few doors down in case you forgot your saki. Though this place can get extremely packed during the weekends, the wait is never extremely long. Once seated, wait staff hands you 2 pieces of paper with the menus. One paper is for the Kitchen - soups, salads, hot dishes. The second sheet of paper is the Fish - sushi, sashimi, classic rolls and specialty rolls. You can order as many and as much as you'd like, just please don't be wasteful. A little trick we started doing to ensure we always get everything we order, circle your quantity request! I didn't have too high of an expectation for this place since it's AYCE. I should've walked out when I saw how sloppy other people's sushis were while waiting for a table. The basic skill of a sushi chef is to make sure that the sushis don't fall apart when you pick it up. I think the chefs at this restaurant just knows how to roll a bunch of stuff together. The sushi rice was bland, where's the vinegar? The fishes were not fresh. Ordered the seaweed salad and it was so fishy I couldn't finish it (and I can deal with fishy). The cooked food were bland. I gave it one star because the place is BYOB and the staff were nice. If you like to stuff yourself with sushi and don't care about quality, then come to this place. We got here around 1200 on a Friday afternoon and had the entire restaurant to ourselves. People kept coming in for take-out, but for a good 45 minutes, it was just us. We order a bunch of this and that from the kitchen and sushi menus. And then we wait. It's just us in the restaurant for 15, 20, 30 minutes and yet we wait. When the food finally arrives, it comes on tiny plates with a tiny portion of food on it. For instance, the fried calamari consisted of 2 rings. WTF? The sushi was not fresh. The color was off and most of it was mashed up and disguised. Yikes! I find myself at a loss for proper words that could describe our visit. In a nutshell, we just didn't like anything about it. The restaurant was dingy and the table was sticky. It was so cold in here that I could not get comfortable. Hat, coat, scarf, gloves and we were both freezing. Did you forget to pay the heating bill? Avoid the special rolls at all costs (ordered 4 versions of them and all fails). They're special because it takes specially strong people to eat them. The flavors were weird and the roll with lobster/soy wrap was retching. The special sauce hit my taste buds and had to expel it quickly. It did me in. The place unfortunately is one of the most hectic dining experiences around. The servers basically yell at you the whole time to sit down and order and they'll bring you half your ordered items because they're worried you'll waste their food. If you're someone who gets frustrated by a communication barrier, you're going to have a hard time with the staff as well. This is one of my go to Sushi places. If you want to eat a lot of delicious sushi without breaking the bank this is the place to go. For around $20 you can get soup, salad, hot apps and as much sushi as your body can handle. It's definitely not fancy and they do have some issues like forgetting to bring out some of the things that you order but for the price that you are paying I choose to look past that. Came here for the first time! We did all you can eat on a Sunday afternoon. Was pretty disappointed because the service was really slow, looks like they were understaffed. There was only one girl working and it was pretty busy. They forgot a few of our items and we asked them 3 times for a soup and waited half an hour to get that. They also forgot about our dessert, we were so upset we just got the bill and left.
