I have only dined in once or twice, always good service and food. Love the decor inside. I usually get their lunch special togo because 3 rolls with the choice of miso soup or salad for $14 with tax. Amazing! Everyone is always super nice and welcoming. I definitely say to bring cash because they give a discount with cash payments because there is a fee to use cards. To my horror, I see a waitress prancing around working harder at zapping bugs than serving customers. Mind you this is occurring while I'm eating the wrong sushi roll because chicken sounds like shrimp. She does not sweep up her kill and or sanitize the hands that slaughtered the bugs in front of all of us. But don't worry she had her hands in the silverware YUM! We were craving for sushi and was in the area. Thought we would give it a try. It was a Wednesday night and there were a lot of people. It gave us hope that this might be a gem in a haystack. Looked at the menu and looked promising. We started with appetizers shrimp tempura with vegetables, edamame and spicy tuna. Nothing fancy but the tempuras are good quality, shrimp and vegetables were fried just right. We read about Las Vegas roll being good so we ordered it too. It looked good and tasted good as well only if we are able to test the salmon in it. They make their rolls with a lot of rice. And when i say a lot, i meant a lot. We could barely taste the main ingredient. I will attached pictures so you can imagine how much rice they put on the rolls. Then Spider Roll, same thing. We can barely taste the soft shell crab in it and both ends didn't have any of it but leaves and unagi sauce. To be able to eat the rice, since we had to pay for leftovers, we ordered fried calamari. It came as chewy as it can be and burned, as if it got fried with burnt oil. It was a big portion too. So, advice DO NOT ORDER IT if you are not prepared to eat it no matter how it come out. We were tempted to order something else but prevented us from doing so since we will have to pay for leftovers. Luckily, our waiter was very nice that we didn't get charge for the calamari but you can't be that lucky all the time. The two stars was for the owner being nice and our waiter. We understand it is an AYCE but we have been to quite a few AYCE and so far, this was the worst when it comes to the portion of rice with the rolls. You might as well just go to an ala carte sushi place, you will enjoy the rolls more and not having to pay as much. We paid $64.00 for two including tip. First time ordering this place thru DoorDash, they send 2 half filled containers of soy sauce for 4 rolls then they don't get my order right, I asked for extra eel sauce- which I did not receive- however when I called the restaurant they are saying that I have to pay extra for that.. but nowhere on the site can I add that to my order. My friend and I went here on a whim. We just finished an appointment and we were looking for some place to eat. She really wanted sushi and this was one of the closest sushi restaurants to where we were. The reviews were pretty average. When you go in, the sushi restaurant is in the middle of a little strip mall and looks a bit unassuming, so I really wasn't expecting much. However, I was pleasantly surprised. The service was really great. The host sat us down right away and our server was very prompt and nice. The ambiance wasn't anything spectacular, but it was good enough. I have to say, for sushi, this was pretty reasonably priced. My friend and I each ordered 2 "regular" rolls and 1 "special roll". This means you can choose any two rolls from their regular options and 1 from their special options. This was for 19.95. I think this is a pretty good deal since you can spend $15 for one of the specialty rolls at another place. The regular rolls weren't huge, but decent sized and the special roll was pretty large. don't know if there's many sushi spots in this town but $19.99 for AYCE sushi dinner is pretty cheap. you can also pay an extra $5 to add items not on AYCE menu. I would only recommend the $5 upgrade only if your looking to eat ice cream and some specialty rolls, otherwise not really worth the upgrade because they have a pretty huge menu for the $19.99. I also understand because of location it's pretty expensive to get all of the best seafood for sushi but what they did have was pretty tasty and high enough quality. i liked how they allowed you to order smaller servings of nigiri so i order one piece of each they offered. I would recommend the Las Vegas roll and shrimp tempura cause they were pretty huge. For some reason this place wasn't busy on a Friday night, location or maybe not a lot of sushi fans out there. There were 3 other groups there and we kinda had this place to ourselves, fast and friendly services, everything i got was hot and fresh tasting. Last night was my first time dining at this restaurant. My boyfriend frequents this place pretty often, and I had been meaning to come here for some time. Last night we finally found our chance to go together. 20 minutes into sitting down, we heard a commotion in the back near the restrooms with someone saying very loudly "I'm going to call 911!" I guess the male owner ended up stabbing one of his employees in the hand. The police and paramedics were running back and forth throughout the restaurant. The female manager/owner did not handle the situation well at all - she was SCREAMING at her poor employees for god knows what reason. The screaming didn't just happen once - it was a total of 4 separate times that she lost her cool essentially in front of the entire restaurant. Jesus, talk about awkward. If I hadn't already put my food order in I would have gotten up and walked out. We ended up getting our food 45 minutes later. I'm assuming we waited that long because of the commotion. Still, other people who came in and ordered after us got their food before us. As we were leaving, the female manager/owner was huddled on the floor behind the front desk occasionally screaming loudly enough to make everyone feel extremely uncomfortable. First time coming here, will most definitely come back! Came for lunch we decided on the all you can eat menu. Not to be confused with a buffet, so you get the great deal and you order off the menu. The lunch was $17.99 until 2:30pm and the dinner is $22.99. Miso soup was good, and we ordered the Edamame, we each ordered 3 orders of sushi rolls somehow. I didn't think I would have room but the Crunchy Tuna Rolls, and the Spicy Shrimp Tempura were delicious! Only order what you can finish, don't be a glutton, besides you have to pay to bring home leftovers. If they didn't do that people would be ordering all kinds of food they didn't plan on eating. Highly disappointed. I went here over the weekend with family and friends for the first time. My young daughter and her friend ordered waters and "one" order of the calamari appetizer to split, since they weren't that hungry. I ordered the AYCE sushi and a glass of wine. Imagine my surprise when the waiter sheepishly delivered my bill for $80+ dollars saying "You'll have to speak with the owner to change it, as I tried." My bill stated I had ordered TWO orders of calamari (the owner doubled the price since two people were splitting it), AND she put them down as having the AYCE sushi, even though they didn't order sushi or have any. They ordered calamari because they DON'T like sushi! The owner came to our table and was less than polite. She insisted the girls "got a bigger order, hence the double charge." (Well, thanks for asking me first! If I wanted TWO orders, I would have asked for two and not ONE!) Not sure how or why she thought she'd sneak the extra two AYCE orders on there either. Anyway, she said, "Well at least you know for next time when you come." We said "We won't be coming back." She then asked, "Oh, was there something wrong with your waiter?" This prompted a "No, because of YOU," answer from our table. She was so rude... and I just couldn't believe what I thought would be a nice time, ended up us having to argue about my bill. Never again. Buyer beware. So many other places that are nicer, higher quality, and less money. To top it all off, another customer at our table, gave a $20 for her $8 bill. The owner gave her back $2. Needless to say, that didn't go over well either. She apologized, saying she "make a mistake," but I personally think she was trying to get extra money out of us! This place is pretty solid. They recently renovated the inside with some simple woodwork placed near the front which is a huge improvement from the previous layout. I recall the restaurant being awkwardly open prior to that. The 20.99 all you can eat sushi / appetizers is awesome and totally worth it. I recommend you try it. We dropped in last night for our weekly date-night and we were impressed once again. We tried the shrimp / vegetable tempura (awesome) and the scallop tempura (so-so) for appetizers, then tried the red snapper, tuna, and salmon nigiri which were so smooth and tasty--almost a buttery flavor. Very nice. We chose a few rolls -- the tuna wow, the rainbow, and the shogun maki. The tuna wow was easily the best--spicy but full of flavor. The rainbow was close behind with fresh assorted fish layered on top. I could have eaten it almost exclusively and been happy. The shogun maki was just okay--nothing to get too excited about. Our only gripe was that our waters were never re-filled which is a necessity after consuming so much salt. Otherwise it was great. We'll be back. read more

I really have nothing bad to say about the food quality or the service. The sushi was fresh and the service was adequate. However, I should have known that something was a bit off when the waitress informed me that if I ordered the "all you can eat" lunch I would have to eat all of the rice or they would charge me $1 per roll of uneaten rice. I told said to her; "of course and do you have that problem alot?" She stated that they had that problem alot and I immediately began to think about some of the low lifes they must have creep in and fill their bellies. I was wrong. I was served six snow-ball sized rice balls with average sized pieces of sushi balanced on the top. I was completely blown away. If I would have known that this was the game they were playing I would have ordered off of the menu so that I didn't feel the need to gorge myself on white rice to avoid the one dollar penalties. I have regularly eaten sushi for two decades and have never seen this much rice used. It was very obvious that they wanted to fill people up on rice. It's always a pleasure to eat here. The ambiance is nothing special, but some of the best places to eat can look like the biggest dives (i.e. River Kwai, Half Shell, Ramen Misoya, etc...) The Chicago foodies will know what I'm talking about. The wait staff is always friendly. He noticed we ordered extra house salads (7 orders for a party of 4), so he figures we loved the dressing, which we do, and he brought us extra dressing on the side without us even asking. When your kids eat 3 orders of salad, each, you know it's something special. LoL. The GYOZA gets rave reviews as well. Although I'm not a gyoza connoisseur, those that I dine with have extensive knowledge of gyozas and say it's some of the best they've ever had. Sushi, nigiri, and rolls... I know when people think of AYCE sushi, they get this weird look on their face, like (-_-) , but the fish and seafood is remarkably fresh. Yes, as some reviewers stated, they do go heavy on the rice in some rolls, but WTF! It's AYCE and the quality is great!!! Can you blame them?!? You're paying less than $20, you snotty sushi snob!!! (Yes, that comment was meant for the dude who says he's been eating sushi for over 30 or 40 years, depending on which review of his you read...) Haha Hubby & I went for AYCE for dinner (which included appetizers, soup, sides, sushi, and rolls) and we definitely got our money's worth. Lots of variety to choose from, nothing had too much rice, our service was prompt, and the rolls were yummy! The Las Vegas roll was definitely my favorite... followed by Tuna WOW and Black Jack!!
