I really, really wanted to love this place because we don't have many options for Asian food in this area, and being able to have sushi delivered would be amazing... but I've been thoroughly traumatized by a bout of food poisoning after eating sushi (a tuna maki roll) from here. Been here 4 times now. The beef or vegetable udon is awesome, the chicken teriyaki had good flavor but they use white meat and it was a little over cooked for me. Their spicy garlic beef was not real spicy so I highly recommend that. I finally tried their sushi. I was disappointed with the California roll, but the spider roll was amazing. Ordered delivery from Asian Kitchen on a lazy Monday evening. Online ordering is efficient! Our order was delivered promptly- I would say it was at our door in thirty minutes. Impressive! I ordered the avocado ginger salad and salmon teriyaki. The avocado was fresh and the ginger dressing paired well. The salmon was cooked just right and came with veggies in the teriyaki sauce. Okay cheap asian food, horrible customer service. I got the 3 roll lunch special to go and the food was okay for the price (3 rolls and soup for $10). They gave me someone else's order and didn't recognize until I got back to my office. I called them and they asked me to bring it back and they would refund me. When I brought it back they tried to just give the order they gave me (which was opened) to the right person who came back. They are using less of the star ingredients like tuna, salmon and shrimp...and more filler like tempura batter, tails, veggies and much smaller portions of fish. My family and I order from here once to twice a month. It's close to home, they're pretty quick in making everything and they deliver. The sushi isn't the best I've had but it is definitely good. Good Chinese restaurant in Yorkville. I ordered the orange chicken with a side of fried rice and with an order of Crab Rangoon. And the Crab Rangoon was out of this world! Cooked perfectly crispy with a nice golden brown coating. And it's relatively cheap, as my grandma and I only paid like 30$ with delivery fee. The only problem was the delivery took a little longer than expected, which isn't. A huge deal but we almost thought they forgot about our order! We tried the jalapeño popper appetizer, it was not only delicious but the presentation was beautiful. Sorry no pic, it was so good we ate it all and forgot the picture! So I came here not too long ago with my bf and his mom and we all enjoyed our meals. I got teriyaki chicken that came with fried rice and it's my second favorite fried rice. The chicken also tasted very fresh. I also got the soup that's broth with dumplings-I always forget what it's called. Anyways even that was delicious. The dumplings had good texture and both that and the broth was very tasteful. My bf got the Dragon sushi roll I think it's called and he absolutely loved it. I had high hopes for this restaurant! Sad to report this was overrated. My first impression was not a positive one. All the people I spoke so highly recommended it so I decided to try it out. I did the online ordering. Simple enough. There needs to be a minimum of at least $10 to online order, since I was having dinner alone I had to order my meal plus 2 extra egg rolls. Total with tax and delivery is $15.48 for what I ordered. I placed my online order at 6:13 and scheduled it to be delivered at 7:45PM. At 8:00PM I called the restaurant because my food had no arrived even though I received an email confirmation saying they got my order. When I called they said "oh, she's on her way, 5 minutes, sorry for the wait." And that was it. No offer to compensate or anything. Really annoying because most places do something if your order isn't ready or delivered in time--these guys didn't make any such offer. Food arrived 5 minutes later. Total wait time for scheduled delivery:20 minutes. It was warm. I ordered General Tsp Chicken, it was good. Unfortunately the rice wasn't to my liking and the egg rolls had ginger (?) which I wasn't a fan of at all. It arrived with a generous amount of sauces and fortune cookies. So that was nice. However, I'm still a bigger fan of China Garden. Their food is much better, never had issues. This is the first and only time I'll order from Asian Kitchen. From the sashimi to the decorative lettuce on your tray, everything here is always fresh. Online ordering works very well and I have never had a problem with getting orders right and on time. The prices are very fair compared to other spots in the Oswego/Aurora/Naperville area for just as good of food. The dine-in area is very simple but the staff has always been very polite, accommodating, and friendly. This is a very well run business. My only complaint is that they are not open Mondays. The worst Chinese food I have ever tasted. It tasted like everything was premade. The spring rolls and egg rolls were not fresh. They tasted freezer burned. The black chicken was supposed to be spicy, but it tasted like they used the same chicken they used for the orange chicken and poured pepper on top. I asked for beef fried rice and the meat was white. The only thing that was edible was the orange chicken. My kids wouldn't touch any of the food. I felt sick.
