The #25 Nigiri combination with premium sushi, plus Las Vegas Rolls, & Spider Rolls

Friendly service & good sushi. Our usual spot was having an issue, so we gave Sushi Zone a try. We were pleasantly surprised to find another sushi spot fairly close to home.

One of my favorites. Great vegetarian options and consistently good sushi. Service is quick whether you're dining in or doing carryout, which makes it an easy go-to spot. Reliable quality every time.

Excellent, fresh sushi and friendly, fast service! They are doing everything right at this little "off the beaten path" place! Fancy? No. Amazing? Yes!

I love their sushi. Honestly it's better than every sushi place I've had and is pretty close to Noblefish in Clawson. You cannot go wrong with any of their rolls!

Fantastic sushi place in Eastpointe! Their tempura vegetable roll is a unique roll and a favorite. The sushi is fresh, great quality, all for a very reasonable price point!

Berry Good Roll with fresh strawberries! Also, Cajun Tuna Roll. Surprisingly not very spicy.

Sushi Zone is a pretty pearl tucked away in the oyster shell that is Eastpointe. Sushi purists may not be impressed, for I think their strength is in the sauced down and jazzed up rolls. There are a lot of deep fried, cream cheese slathered and sweet sticky adaptations. The wasabi is not very spicy and there could have been more. Nigiri is featured on the menu, but I didn't try it. The ingredients are fresh, the service is quick with a smile and they take pride in their little pearl as evidenced by the creativity they display.

Beef teriyaki roll, frying snapper roll, shrimp California roll, egg nigiri. All wrapped in soy paper as requested.

My friend and I went to Sushi Zone on a Friday night at about 6:30-7PM. It's a hole in the wall next to a liquor store, and the parking lot is super tiny. There are only a few tables inside, which makes sense given the parking situation. Not having been there before, we dined in, but it seems like most of their business is carry out. They have a really great menu, with lots of options. The asterisk on the menu indicates raw items. Most of what they offer is sushi but they do have a few kitchen menu items and appetizers as well. The waitress had us write our orders on the paper menu to order, which I really prefer at sushi places. I ordered the shrimp California roll, the frying snapper roll, and the beef teriyaki roll, as well as 1 tamago (egg) nigiri. I also asked that they wrap everything in soy paper, which they are able to do. The sushi was phenomenal. It was fresh and had great flavor and my mouth waters thinking about it. The waitress was really great; she was very accommodating and made sure we were happy with our order. We will definitely be back!

Hands down my favorite sushi spot. Great customer service and food! Their menu has variety of rolls to choose from and have accommodated my requests. The prices are affordable and they don't skimp you on the rolls. Don't let the store front fool you. I'm so glad i found this place!

Don't let the location fool you. This place could be on Main Street in Royal Oak. Glad for me on 9 Mile in Eastpointe.

I ordered a gin Collin's and requested light simple syrup. It was prepared as requested, and I enjoyed it. We started with the spinach and artichoke dip, which was absolutely huge! It was flavorful, and I liked the pita bread versus chips. For dinner I had the pasta in New Orleans, but requested it with garlic butter pesto sauce, instead of the cream pesto sauce. The waitress told me that the modification was no big deal and she would let the kitchen know. Again, that came out as requested, and it was delicious. Even the bread basket with whipped butter was good. To add to all this, there was live music. The music was not overly loud, the guys voice was very smooth, and it added the perfect addition to a nice night out. Only thing I'd say is they need to switch up their signs. We were excited to try the late night happy hour advertised all over outside (9pm-12). However, they said it wasn't offered Fridays. A little misleading.

Put down a deposit for said reservation. Arrived. Were told half of our party needed to be present to be seated. (Then what was the $100 deposit and reservation for?) Once we had 10 waiting in the lobby - we still had to wait to be seated. The place was empty, since it was early. Weird. The menu is very limited for anyone gluten free (with the exception of sushi sans soy sauce). There were bones in the fish and chips (strange), the salmon was dry. It was loud. We were celebrating a birthday. Which we informed at time of the reservation. At the end of the meal they brought out a large plate with the words Happy Birthday in chocolate sauce (written very nicely, I must add) accompanied by two squirts of whipped cream, a spoonful of strawberries in syrup and a birthday candle. It was kind of silly. (But still worked.) The high chair was filthy and loaded with large crumbs. Here's the deal - I'm not really a complainer. I mean it sincerely - I want to like (even love) Fishbones. It's close to home. The bar is kind of cool. The outdoor bar area is casual and friendly feeling but the food is mediocre at the very best. And too pricey to be so mediocre. That said - our servers were great and sweet (once they finally got to us - which took quite some time). The fact that they don't split bills in this day and age of apps is backwards. (One bill per table and a max of two cards per bill seems like some arbitrary rule.) Heavy sigh. Unless I'm invited to a post-funeral luncheon or something there, I won't be back. Edited to add the photo.

I started with the brown sugar bacon, as I am making a breakfast casserole for Christmas morning and thought it would be perfect in it. I am sure it would have been perfect except for the fact I could NOT stop eating it as I cooked it up. It cooked up brilliantly - crispy and meaty, and came out of the pan the same size it went in. Since I had eaten a fair amount of it I decided to also cook up the bourbon bacon. Every bit as tasty. I have never had bacon like this before. But wait - there's more! I also bought two gift baskets as gifts for other people with bacon flavors such as thai and garlic and sushi (yep - sushi). But part of the basket I bought for Christmas for our family was a tin of snickerdoodles made with Apple Cinnamon bacon. I don't think I have ever had a better cookie. So, if you like bacon, you simply have to give Because Bacon a chance to WOW you. We are going to be sending gifts and enjoying it for years to come - I just know it!

I picked out a five flavor 1/2 lb sampler of Caramel Bourbon, Smoky Bear, Honey Chipotle, Garlic and Sriracha, and Maple and Brown Sugar. Let me tell you, it was the worst present ever because I kept eating it as I was cooking it for him! Each flavor was unique and tasted exactly like the name. It was all fresh and delicious. I could actually smell the bourbon when I opened the Caramel Bourbon package. The house smelled wonderful after each preparation. There are only two things that could be improved here. One was we got some rather fatty portions of bacon. I try to avoid eating fat, but my boyfriend said the fat absorbed a lot of the flavoring which he found delicious. For me that meant my dog got 50% of my bacon slices... not cool! The second thing is that they need to invest in packaging. Presentation is a huge part of the culinary experience. While bacon tends to speak for itself in a lot of situations I was taken aback by their super basic packaging. I suggest a quick trip to FedEx Kinkos to get some stickers printed up with their logo, slap one on the package and problem solved. As far as the business side is concerned there was a quick turn around from order to product delivery and the proprietor was friendly, responsive and flexible with delivery. All in all, I will be ordering from her again.
