The tuna appetizer is very slightly seated tuna with a salty umami dressing. I loved the saltiness, and it was seasoned perfectly for me. This contrasted perfectly with the sweetness unadon aka eel bowl. I loved how the bowl came with different veggies and egg. The inari was spectacular. Miyazaki is a super cool sushi spot hidden in Clinton Township, literally in the corner of a strip mall. But that doesn't mean you shouldn't find your way out there. I stumbled in enter my surprise. It was the most Pandi and cool vibe for sushi restaurant. It felt super open and modern. I came in for the Inari which I love, but has been super difficult to find around southeast Michigan. They do a great job adding some fun flavors to them, even making it a flight. You order up at the bar and they're quick to make your food and deliver it to you. Miyazaki was incredible. Cannot say enough good things about my experience. The sushi was great! I had the Rainbow Roll and the Tuna Scallion roll. Both were amazing. What stood out to me was the quality of the Tuna and the Crab Salad on the Rainbow Roll. I always say you can judge a sushi spot by its crab. If you're at a mid to low level sushi spot, the crab is always a throw away item. That was not the case here. The Crab Salad was incredible on my Rainbow Roll and kind of made the dish. I was super impressed. It was a little sweet and flaky. I loved it! The Tuna on the Tuna Scallion roll was high quality, with a ruby red hue and a nice fresh texture. There was not a single piece of rubbery fish on any of my two rolls. Every piece of fish tasted fresh and light. I felt great after taking down a pretty substantial amount of sushi! The service was awesome and the value was incredible. The Rainbow Roll that I got was cheaper than any spot in Detroit (besides DMC Hospital on John R.) and higher quality. The attendee at the restaurant was great and there was tea available for no charge. I loved the presentation of the rolls and the interior was bright and lively. A new sushi spot that definitely deserves way more attention than I feel like it's currently receiving! I know that they're fully functional, but still standing up things like a tablet ordering system in stores and whatnot, so perhaps that's the reason why it hasn't fully reached the attention of everyone. The interior of this space is so bright and modern, filled with Miyazaki things and just absolute cuteness. The aesthetic reminds me a lot of Goblin in Detroit, although I don't think there is any relation between the two. I love that they have a corner of the store where you can see them growing their own veggies and also carry a few products on their shelves as well. All their appliances (even their water cooler) are Asian brands as well, which I love! It feels like walking into a little sushi shop in Asia, but it's all the way down Hall Road, past Partridge Creek, in Utica instead! The food is SO delicious! What I love in particular about Miyazaki are the options they offer. In addition to rolls and nigiri, they offer different combinations of trays that are so fun and interesting to try! My friends and I got the omakase tray and the salmon showcase tray. The omakase came with 28 pieces of nigiri from ~7-8 different kinds of nigiri. All of them were so good and so fresh, it was all top notch quality and split among 3 people was so perfect! The salmon showcase is for all those who love salmon. There were 7 pieces of nigiri here with all different cuts and ways to prep salmon and I was in heaven! We also ordered the bluefin tuna and scallion roll, as well as the yellowtail and scallion roll. Truly everything was SO good, SO fresh, SUCH quality and even for the rolls you get a generous amount of filling in them. I truly appreciate that and for the price of everything, it was more than worth it. Great new sushi spot! Super cute and simplistic set up. We got the Omakase 28 piece nigiri set, the cooked nigiri set, and the fireworks roll. The quality of the sushi is superb. The price for the omakase nigiri 28 piece is unbeatable and great for people to try different nigiris. Fav pieces: their dill cured salmon nigiri is AMAZING!!! I couldn't get enough of it. The seared scallop was delish & tuna pieces were super good. The bf loved their eel also. Walked in to this place wanting to order and an extremely rude, blonde woman was behind the counter saying there is no where to sit unless our party of 4 split up into 2 high tops. We asked if we can move 2 of the high top chairs to the table and she said no we had to slit up. Why would a party of 4 want to come into a restaurant and sit separately??? Mind you, every chair in the place was moved and there was empty tables with no chairs due to the lack of chairs. Just tried this sushi and sashimi place for the first time tonight. I feel like sushi has been sort of commoditized with places like grocery stores selling it, and it's pushed the quality down in most places I used to get it from. Miyazaki has resorted my faith in excellent, fresh sushi and sashimi. I ordered the Chirasi Don bowl, the octopus salad, and my wife got the vegetable roll. First, the little boxes and bowl the Chirashi and vegetable roll came in were really nice, and even decorated. My carry out included an extra wasabi, premium soy sauce, pickled ginger, and even little mini throw away bowls for the soy sauce. My wife commented how charming it made our take out look! The chirashi bowl was exceptional, with lots of options of chef choice fish and seafood, and the most tender salmon I've had in years. The octopus salad was also just exceptional. Fresh and delicious. My wife's vegetable roll was also an excellent dish. I'm not sure I can say enough to the quality of what we enjoyed. We were really impressed and it was the perfect amount of sushi. The little restaurant is super clean, and really well done. I was greeted by two very pleasant and smiling employees (maybe even the owners) and my order was super fast. They have some fun drinks too...like boba tea milk...in a soda can!
