If you're looking for a new sushi spot, you have to check out Sushi Zone. I've been here plenty of times, and the most important thing I can say is that I have never had a bad experience. It is such a cute place with a great atmosphere--perfect for a casual date or a night out with friends. What I love most is that there is so much to choose from on the menu. Whether you're a fan of the classic rolls or want to try something more unique and adventurous, everything is incredibly fresh and beautifully presented. The service is always spot on, and the vibe is just right. If you want high-quality sushi and a consistent experience every single time, this is the place to go!

I drive by here often, so I decided to try the lunch menu. I had the 3 item bento box meal with tempura, chicken teriyaki and tuna sashimi. The tempura was very good. The chicken was overcooked and charred too much and the sauce was bitter. The sashimi, miso soup and salad was all ok. Portions are good. Very friendly staff in a nice restaurant that has music playing. It was a decent meal and I was satisfied but nothing stands out and I don't know if I would go back.

Awesome little sushi spot in Livermore. We came for an early dinner after the pumpkin patch and it wasn't busy around 4pm. The staff seated us immediately and were very friendly. We had a party of five and our waters kept being refilled and received plenty of attention. The lot is large so parking isn't an issue. The raw fish was tender and tasty. The oyster shooters were bigger than expected and serviced in small cognac glasses. I enjoyed it but others didn't. There were quite a few orders to go so the place seems to be popular. Overall a good experience and somewhere I'd like to visit again.

Came in for lunch and landed on the 3 item Bento. Service was fast, miso was very standard which is fine, smallish salad was good but what really earned the cinco estrellas was the bento price, size, and freshness. See photo for the full plate. The three cuts of Salmon were quite large which immediately calmed my mind. The CA roll cuts were Fat which put me in even a better mood. I casually mowed the entire meal and pre-tip the total was just under $20. Not bad for today's massive inflation. It is a good run.

A little boy that loved their tempura

The food was memorable; sushi rolls, tempura shrimp & vegetables, oh my! Scallops. Everything was delicious. We ate until we were stuffed. The staff were attentive but not invasive. By the time we left, every chair had a customer in it.

Excellent sushi and great prices. It's definitely a more casual sushi spot, but that's part of what I love about it. The service is great and they are willing to make adjustments that you ask for. I went in and was looking to sub the rice in my roll out for cucumber instead. Our server asked the sushi chef, and had no problem accommodating that request. They have lots of different rolls, both cooked and fresh (my personal favorite). Everything tastes of high quality ingredients and they have some really creative rolls as well which is great for trying something new. Definitely recommend for a casual sushi meal!

The fish here is really fresh and I like how vast their menu is. If you love sushi, they got the goods. Like their sushi combos with the chef's nigiri and classic tuna and sake maki rolls. Highly recommend their special rolls as well such as the crunch spicy tuna roll (for that tempura crunch) and salmon lover special. If you're not that into sushi, they have bowls and bentos (udon, chirashi, tonkatsu). Really filling as it comes with miso soup and house salad. Overall, their fish to rice ratio is just chef's kiss. I appreciate how friendly their service is and how moderately priced everything is. More on the affordable side and large group friendly. Love this place downnnn.

Severe Food Poisoning -- And a Complete Lack of Compassion From the Owner…read more On Friday, July 31st, we ordered three sushi rolls and a bento box from Roppongi Sushi for pickup. My husband waited almost 40 minutes longer than expected for the food. We have eaten here several times before and liked it. I ate significantly more of the sushi than he did. The next morning, I felt absolutely terrible. After about 12 hours, I became violently sick and threw up all of the sushi. I couldn't believe that after all that time, it was still coming back up. I have never been that sick. I was extremely weak and lethargic, could barely eat for days, and it took several days to feel normal again. I'm a breastfeeding mom to a 5-month-old and also have a 20-month-old, so being that sick was especially difficult. I nearly lost my milk supply because I could barely eat or drink, and I was so exhausted that I could barely help with my children. I called the restaurant Saturday afternoon to let the manager know what happened. Instead of asking if I was okay or expressing any concern, her first response was, "What roll did you eat?" When I told her which one I suspected, she said, "A lot of people ordered that," and offered to refund one roll. I explained how seriously sick I had been and how difficult it was to care for my children while feeling that way. I even asked her if she was a mother and how she would feel in my situation. Her response was, "Enough -- just stop already!" followed by "We work so hard." I understand restaurants work hard, I worked in restaurants for 10 years myself! but customers deserve compassion when they report becoming violently ill after eating their food. I wasn't looking for an argument--a little compassion would have gone a long way. She eventually refunded almost the entire order, but only after a very dismissive interaction. I would not have written this review if the owner had shown even a little compassion. She never followed up with me to see if I was ok. Unfortunately, after this experience, I will NEVER be returning to Roppongi Sushi, and it will probably be a very long time before I feel comfortable eating sushi again.

You can choose between bar seating or a table--we went with a table. The space is cute, modern, and has a great vibe. One thing I really appreciated is that all the sashimi dishes came pre-seasoned with thoughtful sauces and toppings. We didn't even need soy sauce or ginger--everything was already balanced and flavorful. Oysters (3.5/5) Solid. Fresh and clean, and great value for a dozen. We added "the works" for $3, which came with extra sauces--definitely worth it and added a nice variety of flavors. Uni Toast (4/5) Really good. Served on a crispy ube toast with great presentation. Definitely on the pricier side, but expected for good uni. Worth trying if you're into uni. Tuna Crudo (4.5/5) Really enjoyed this. Flavor was good, but the crispy bread was a highlight for me. Some might think it's too crispy, but I loved the texture. The wagyu juices tied everything together nicely. DIY Handrolls (4/5) Fun concept--comes with mini sheets of seaweed, rice, and hamachi so you can build your own. The fish tasted fresh and high-quality. The only downside is I wish they gave more seaweed. Cured Chirashi Don (4.5/5) The sushi rice was honestly one of the most flavorful I've had--very pronounced vinegar taste (in a good way). The fish was fresh and of high quality. Definitely a standout. Overall, this place leans on the pricier side since it's small plates/tapas style--we ended up ordering around 7-8 dishes to feel full. That said, the flavors are unique and I liked how some of the fish was lightly seared, adding a nice aroma and texture. Service was solid--our server checked in regularly. They also brought out cookies and milk for my birthday, which was a nice touch (not free--$8--but still worth it). Would come back to try more dishes
