The sushi at Namaah Sushi was some high quality well constructed sushi. This is a place that does their craft with love. The service was very attentive and on point. I think next time I want to splurge I am definitely coming again. The ambiance has a premium feel, not akin to pretentious luxury but more so clean, inviting with thought put into detail of the decor and vibe. Both tuna and salmon here are game tight. read more

Naamah Sushi, were have you been all my life? This place was great! It's a small restaurant that is very nicely decorated with some of the freshest ingredients that I've seen in a long time. My friend said the fish sushi was absolutely great, I had the same reaction with the vegetarian sushi. Prices are reasonable compared to quality and the upper level rolls are packed for the price to fish ratio. Service was top notch. Plenty of parking and right off of the Turnpike and Glades. They are Kosher, so they are normally not open on Saturday except for special events after sundown. I will be coming back even though I live in Kendall, it's that good. read more

It is always great to find a nice sushi place near by. I will say this is not your fast casual sushi spot. It's definitely a nice sit down experience, with a very nice looking ambiance and higher prices to match. With that being said, the quality of the fish is amazing. Some of the best fish I've had in the area. We got two rolls; the salmon San and the truffle tuna and both were very delicious. I only ever enjoy salmon when the fish is exceptional and I certainly enjoyed it this time. The people were very nice and the experience was a great one. The only thing I'll say, I thought the menu was quite simple and not too much variety. Also, they pretty much only have sushi and sashimi, so keep that in mind when bringing any non-sushi eaters. Such a hidden gem! It was my first time here and it was easily some of the highest quality sushi I've had in all of South Florida. Everything tasted super fresh and delicious. I have a gluten allergy, and they were beyond accommodating. They were able to make most of the menu gluten free and made me feel very comfortable dining there. On top of the amazing food, the owner was very kind and welcoming, and the customer service overall was truly top tier. While the quality of the food was decent (but nothing to write home about), it's way too overpriced. I ordered this meal as a present for my wife for delivering our first child, as we couldn't enjoy sashimi for close to a year. The audacity for them to charge $140 for a 20 piece omakase sushi and sashimi and then put half of the pieces as basic salmon (sake) and lean tuna (akami) is just mind blowing. They put 5 salmon (nigiri and sashimi) and 5 lean tuna (nigiri and sashimi)) to count towards 20 pieces. And other 10 pieces were plain also. No tuna belly, unagi, urchin, or anything. I'm annoyed even thinking about the order again, charging effectively $7 per piece. I felt like I ordered some platter that would cost $50-60 at most at a run of the mill japanese restaurant. read more

For the price point, the value simply isn't there. Charging $38 for a single piece of Chu-toro and $15 for edamame sets a premium expectation that the restaurant unfortunately does not meet. The overall ambiance feels underwhelming, lacking the elevated atmosphere one would reasonably anticipate from a venue pricing meals at nearly $200 per person. While the host was friendly, the experience would greatly benefit from improvements in service details and setting -- even the glassware contributed to a feeling closer to casual dining than a fine-dining establishment. Comparable restaurants that charge significantly less deliver a much more refined and cohesive experience. As it stands, the pricing structure far exceeds the quality provided. read more

Some of the best KOSHER sushi in South Florida, if you can call Boca South Florida. We got the seafood tower (omakase), and every piece was next level! The freshness of the fish was immediately apparent, and the presentation was stunning--perfect for sharing and definitely a showstopper on the table. The variety of seafood included in the tower was impressive, with each piece bursting with flavor. The tuna tartare was a highlight, rich and creamy, while the yellowtail was exceptionally fresh and melted in your mouth. The fish here is truly the best I've ever had and I eat a lot of sushi. The quality cannot be beat! The restaurant is very much a family atmosphere. They treat their guests well! I will say don't come here and expect a typical dining experience, the owner is very personable and will come chat with you! The energy is lively, you will often find yourself talking to the table next to you. One thing to note before coming is that it's very very expensive, you are paying for top dollar sushi, and I think it's worth it every once in a while! read more

It would have been nice to know this was a kosher sushi restaurant. I'm not Jewish, and was unaware of this prior to going (having now researched the word Naamah, perhaps I should have done so prior). Not sure why the website is unclear about that, but it's might be a good idea to be more upfront. Not really an issue except for the fact that they do not hold a liquor license and do not serve beer, which is a suitable pairing for sushi (along with sake). That said. service was friendly, and the food was quite good, with even a little offering of some not-so-pedestrian fish, like shima aji, and kanpachji. So; no ebi (shrimp), uni (sea urchin), ika (squid)...... and no beer or sake selections....that's a bit of a knock to my rating. If those weren't issues, I'd have rated it a solid 4. If you're looking for a kosher sushi place, I'd think this one would be a good one. read more

I found this sushi spot on yelp and decided to go for dinner with my 8 year old. Upon arriving the host tells me it's reservation only and they were booked. Half the restaurant was empty the other half had a group of friends celebrating a birthday. They sat us anyway. The menu was very small. Not many options. We got one roll and the salmon bowl which was not impressive. The sushi seems fresh but this is not a place I would return too. read more

Just realized i never left a review. And i must say, i was skeptical..... Kosher sushi...? But it works, and yes, it's incredible quality. But very expensive, but the quality doesn't get much better. No sushi bar, which i highly dislike. I want to engage with the chef and i want to know about the fish and rice and nori. Don't go here if you're cheap or looking to save money. read more

I've been to Japan and I currently live in San Diego so I may know a thing or two about good sushi. And trust me when I say this, I've grew up in Boca and all the sushi places are mediocre... I will admit, I was skeptical coming to this restaurant but I'm glad I went because their sushi is absolutely delicious and fresh. They import their fish from California daily according to the owner/manager. If you understand quality this is the place. I have gone to Japan and this easily comes close to the real deal. It's rare to find this type of restaurant in Boca. The fish they use is so fresh and unbelievable flavorful. FINALLY a Japanese restaurant that understands how to make real sushi rice. If you are looking for authentic, this is as close as it gets. The price is on the higher side but if you want a real experience and good sushi this is it! I highly recommend getting the chu Toro hand roll. The only thing I disliked about this place was the menu. I can't understand most of the menu. It would be nicer if It was more descriptive so I don't have to ask 1000 questions. Anyways definitely a MUST for real sushi lovers !! read more

While the selection of fish is a bit limited and the typical Japanese Sushi bar effect is missing the fish we ate was super fresh, well cut and tasty. You have to decide whether it's worth the high prices which is a personal decision. For me it was worth it to get the quality of nigiri and sashimi that was served up. read more

When I asked for them to be changed, the waitress initially insisted it was just scratches, even though one was clearly dirty. So we really didn't even look at their regular menu to see what else they have, We each decided to get one of their bento box lunches. They also offer poke bowls and some sushi roll combos. I got their salmon teriyaki box. In addition to the salmon in one of the compartments, there was a California roll, 2 gyoza pieces, house salad, and edamame. In the middle of the box was wasabi and ginger slices. It was a lot of food. Everything was good, but I think I'd get the gyoza steamed instead of fried next time. My husband's box had all the same selections as mine, but instead of the salmon, he got sashimi. There were 6 lovely pieces of fresh raw fish -- tuna, salmon, and a white fish. He said it was very good. I'm glad we stopped here for lunch. It was a good choice.

They removed the plates as necessary and checked on us to make sure we were happy with everything. The waiter informed us there was gratuity added on our bill because of the size of our group. Most restaurants wouldn't inform the customers about that and a lot of people would add an additional tip by mistake without thinking about it. All of us had a great time for lunch!

He then recommended the signature omakase, the most expensive thing on the menu. When he came back to take our order, he made a big pitch of today's rib special. When my husband ordered the 8-piece nigiri, he pushed us to upgrade to the 12-piece option. As we were eating, he asked us what else we wanted to order. We ordered $130 of food for 2 people...seriously? We hadn't even finished yet to gauge if we were still hungry. I know that tips are a percentage of the bill, but you would've thought this kid was getting a commission on top of his tip or something. It rubbed us the wrong way. The tuna crispy rice was $5 per piece and the rice was weirdly chewy. Wouldn't order it again. The nigiri were the highlight of the meal. Each piece felt balanced and the sushi rice was good. We ordered 3 rolls: toro toro, scallop, and yellowtail. All were forgettable and expensive for what they were. The yellowtail roll was bland, which is probably why there's a chili ponzu sauce to go with it because otherwise all you can taste is pear, which isn't a flavor I'm looking for in sushi. We ended our meal with scallop tacos, which were good but microscopic and pricey ($17 for 2 tacos). Each one is a bite and a half. It took a while to flag down Sebastian for the bill, so we were stuck in the din of the restaurant for longer than we liked. If the restaurant's filling up, wouldn't you want to turn our table and seat new guests? My husband made a note on the res that it was my birthday, but it was ignored. Maybe we would've had a better experience with a different waiter, but this was a disappointing meal and service.
