If you like your sushi Americanized, this is the place for you. What is Americanized? It is oversized, sweetened, fried, and calorically enhanced food. We heard great things about the innovative rolls at Sushiato. Online the menu items looked beautiful. However, reading through the descriptions, three things stood out. Most of the special rolls were made with cream cheese, fried seafood, or imitation crab aka Krab. Unfortunately, those are the three things I avoid in sushi. To add insult to injury, most of those rolls were accompanied by sweet sauces. That was a major deal breaker for me. They all seemed to be elaborate versions of a California roll. Determined to find out what all the fuss was about, I settled on the Dracula roll. My husband ordered the ceviche roll and a tuna crunch roll. Uber eats delivered. The packaging was excellent. I chose to plate the rolls on white dishes because they did not look appetizing in black plastic containers. The soy sauce came in small packages, like grocery store sushi. How did they taste? The Dracula roll was good although I did not care for the beet sauce. FYI, I like beets. But I don't find them to be a good pairing with sushi. The ceviche sauce on the ceviche roll was mostly mayonnaise. I made the mistake of pouring it over the sushi rendering it inedible for my husband who hates mayo. Poor thing, he was expecting a citrus based sauce. Wouldn't you? The tuna crunch roll was filled only with watercress tempura because we ordered it without cream cheese. All three rolls were messy to eat as they were so large. On the positive side, they were visually appealing and made with fresh ingredients. Sushiato certainly lived up to its hype as offering unusual sushi. Unfortunately, they didn't take sushi to the next level. They just took it too a different one. I rate based on my expectations and therefore could only give them two stars. read more

Came in for the first time with two friends on a Friday night. We ordered 5 rolls and two appetizers. The appetizers came out quickly and were very good. We had a salmon and tuna tartar and dumplings. We then ordered the rolls and it took an hour and a half for the rolls to arrive at the table. For such a small restaurant the wait was way too long in my opinion. I noticed that they were taking priority on the take out orders which is why it took so long to get our meal. I will try the restaurant out again since the rolls were a great portion, hopefully we don't have to wait that long again. read more

But I saw a lady coming to pick up some to go order and the person at register was so nasty and talked to her pointing with her finger telling her that she has to go to the back door with such an awful attitude. That is way wrong. That woman needs CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS. Can't treat people with disrespect. Now. On the FOOD SERVICE side. She needs to tide her LONG HAIR BACK FOR SANITARY REASONS too. Service is great!! and i love that they offer half-priced half rolls for lunch on weekdays so I can try new flavors every time!! The more I come to Sushiato the more I love this place. This was my third time there and everything we had was amazing. Sushi is Fantastic! Following Yelp reviews (and 4.5 stars) we went for dinner and... what a surprise. The place is small, uncomfortable furniture, slow service, second class sushi, and expensive. The rice on my wife's sushi was undercook and the avocado on mine was over ripped. Also, I ordered a roll with cucumber instead of rice and the cucumber was very thick (betraying the inexperience of the preparer). Don't waist your time following the Yelp reviews, there are several much better Japanese restaurant in the area. read more

We are visiting from Philadelphia and decided to order out. We ordered 5 rolls and Shumai. Our sushi was delicious! Fish was fresh, rolls were tasty, overall very satisfied. My only complaint is A LOT of the rolls have cream cheese in them. I like cream cheese, but it was difficult to find a roll that didn't have it. Even though we picked up, we loved the ambiance and the decor in the restaurant. Would definitely come again next time we are in town! read more

Good twists to regular sushi rolls. Kind of interesting since I feel like it's more Japanese fusion really. Parking suck when we came for lunch though...tight spots with limited number of spots. Place is cute with contemporary feel to it. Servers are nice and I needed them to cook some fried rice for my kid with less pepper and they did cater to my kid's taste which was nice. This place is very good. Had the Adam Roll( no cream cheese),tuna tartare, and the hamachi with jalapeno. All of the sushi was fresh. Service was spot on. Attentive without being annoying. Beer and wine prices were reasonable. Decor is bright and modern, unlike other sushi restaurants that try and create a false Japanese atmosphere. The place is small and there were people waiting by the time we left. If you have a big party this may not be the place to go. Great addition to Weston. Will be back often. read more

Design and decor is pleasant. Seating is a little cramped. Rolls are slightly over priced and lacked flavor. We sat at the bar and noted that the same server that brought us the check went behind the bar to prep take out orders with his bare hands without washing or the use of gloves. If you don't speak english don't expect to get good service here. They will give you attitude if you aren't hispanic. I myself, am hispanic but wasn't speaking spanish to my friends therefore, i received very average service. The waiters were being extremely kind to other spanish speaking guests, but not to my friends and I. The sushi is also not that great for the price. Once I got home I opened my ceviche and was overwhelmed by the fishy smell. I stupidly tasted it thinking what I don't know and it was awful. Extremely acidic and smelled like it taste. I really was confused why someone would have put this in a to go box. I called to be refunded for the ceviche as I was too far too return. And they said they would. Valentine's day and I had all the intentions to stay in to cook dinner with my fiancé. However, got out of work way too late so we decided to find a place to eat. It was already 9pm so we figured the rushes should've died down. I typically am hesitant about fusion places, but we had Sushiato bookmarked and gave it a shot. It was busy as expected being Valentine's Day, but not too bad. We were greeted by a friendly gentleman. Waited about 15 minutes. We ordered three rolls: San Valentine (special), Ceviche and Unagui. The server apologized in advance, informing us the sushi bar was backed up. It took a while and it was alright as we totally understood. The friendly server kept apologizing. Then the manager came over to apologize. Again, we were totally fine. Once the rolls arrived, they looked beautiful. Each roll had ten pieces. Very filling. Great flavor. The fusion twist was nice and refreshing. The Unagui roll was my favorite. The manager came back and offered us a complimentary dessert for the wait and thanked us continuously for our patience. We chose the Tempura orea. Very good. I was thoroughly impressed with the service. If they are this great under pressure, I can only expect even better experiences on a regular day. The rice in my sushi rolls were bone dry. Like old rice. The avocado in my rainbow roll was over ripe and so sweet, almost like a banana. Weird. Also, wasabi is NOT included. I've never been to a sushi restaurant where wasabi isn't included. They gave me the option of adding wasabi for an extra $.50. I just assumed that was for extra wasabi so I didn't ask for it in my order. (I ordered be at UberEats). I will never order sushi from there again. read more

This Restaurant is a very creative and different version of Japanese food. Rolls are completely different to regular Restaurants. Price is not low but it works every penny. The place was well decorate but small, tables were too close to one another, but this review is about the food and this was tasteless (at least the lunch special were awful). My freinds try some rolls but they were small and ridiculous pricey for the size and the hour (it wasn't dinner). What a surprise! They set the bar way up there for all other sushi places. It truly was an experience for the palate. The ingredients in the rolls simply played with our taste buds, combining sweet, savory, crunchy, creamy,etc, etc. It was an enjoyment. I highly recommend everyone come by. Siushi here is AMAZING. I have tried many rolls and the tastes were perfectly balanced, and it was crispy but also smooth. The California roll was also very good and creamy .
