    Cheese Bulgogi

What makes this sushi restaurant unique is that it is Korean family-owned, so there are Korean dishes served along with Japanese dishes. My partner and I shared the rainbow roll, mango cha cha roll, lemon salmon roll, salmon bento box, and cheese bulgogi. I really enjoyed the creative specialty sushi rolls, with my favorite roll being the mango cha cha roll. It tasted savory from the crispy shrimp tempura, while the fresh mango on top added a nice, refreshing pop of sweetness. As for the lemon salmon roll, it tasted fresh and more citrus-forward. Surprisingly, the salmon bento box was very filling and balanced. This included 2 pieces of grilled teriyaki salmon, 4 pieces of California roll, mixed tempura, miso soup, and a small salad with dressing. For anyone who does not eat raw fish, this would be the perfect dish. For the cheese bulgogi, there was a sweet-savory soy garlic flavor. I liked that the meat was thinly sliced, which paired perfectly with the gooey melted cheese. However, it was a bit saltier than I'd like it to be. Some rice and miso soup was served alongside this to balance out the richness from the cheese. Service could have been better. It seems that the staff were not very attentive at times, even though the place was not busy. Nonetheless, all of the food was pretty good and there was a chill atmosphere. This is a solid sushi bar to visit for either lunch or dinner.

Tried this spot with my partner on a weekend date and first impressions is that this place is quite clean. Upon entering, there's seating both on the left and the right side. There's counter seating, group tables, and MISC tables as well. There's a waitlist on Yelp to join so plan ahead if the restaurant is busy. Parking here in Pasadena can be a bit tough but not near Sushigah. Next to it is a huge indoor parking lot where it's only $1 per 2 hours, very much worth it. The menu here is very extensive, ranging from sushi rolls, sushi, ramen, udon, standard sushi apps, bento boxes, etc. Our orders were taken pretty quick, service I'd say was around a 7/10. We were checked on a couple times but seem like the staff weren't fully paying attention as I asked for some extra utensils and my partner asked for the other dishes that our order comes with but they were all forgotten, requiring a 2nd request before receiving our items. Other than that, service was pretty good. It was great that the staff was friendly and quick. -- WHAT WE ORDERED -- Cheese Bulgogi ($25) Rainbow Roll ($18) Mango Cha Cha Roll ($20) Lemon Salmon Roll ($19) Salmon Bento Box ($21) Out of all the rolls, the Mango Cha Cha is the standout. From the pictures posted, it seem to be the most unique roll and the most popular roll to try. Highly recommend trying this as it has a great flavoring balance between the ingredients and the mango on top. MUST TRY!!!! The cheese bulgogi is also pretty underrated. Although a bit on the expensive side, if you like both combined, this is the dish for you. Love the variation of the dish, and it was also cooked to perfection. The bento box is great as well, presented very nicely, and portion is huge I'd say. A great box to eat on the go or at the restaurant. Not too expensive as well.

While we were walking around, we were craving some Japanese food and found an incredible spot! Sushigah staff were very nice and accommodating to us while we traveled with our cat. I ordered their bulgogi bento and WOW I was amazing. Huge quantity of food and you could sub rice for a California roll! The tempura was perfectly breaded with a great variety of different veggies and shrimp. The bulgogi was also well seasoned and marinated. My partner mentioned how great their tempura udon was as well!

I ordered the Chirashi bowl and blue crab sushi. The chirashi bowl was enough for 2 people. It was so fresh and delicious.

Found this Sushi restaurant owned by Korean Father & Son. Love the mural. Located at the corner of Raymond Ave, the quieter side of the street. Street parking or parking garage nearby. Easier to park. Not crowded like Colorado side. Service was fast. Small nice dining area with plenty of window seating. Food was on the spot. We ordered Cheese Bulgogi, Bento Box, Sashimi Salad and Salmon Roll. All was fresh and yummy. Nothing to complain.

Late night sushi and it hit the spot! Everything tasted fresh craving more even when you are full! Can't go wrong with anything in the menu. Service was quick and friendly, location was clean, zero complaints.. The water tasted filtered which is a huge step up from pretty much any sushi spot.

Ordered via one of the delivery apps. Good selection of rolls, lots of baked and tempura rolls. The salmon skin roll was very good, the salmon skin was very crisp. The yellow tail, salmon and shrimp were good and fish was fresh. The Korean fried chicken appetizer was very good, nice light batter and stayed crispy even after the sauce. Cucumber salad was too sweet for my taste. Solid restaurant and will order from again.

Stopped by Sushigah in Pasadena for a quick lunch and ordered a regular combo with some hot sake on the side. First off, I really appreciated that the sake actually came out properly hot, which isn't always the case at casual spots and made the meal feel extra comforting. For the price, the combo is a good deal and perfect when you want something filling without a long wait. The fish quality was decent overall. Some pieces tasted fresh and enjoyable, while a couple still had that slightly frozen texture, but nothing that completely took away from the experience. Service was fast and it's an easy in-and-out kind of place, which makes it great for a quick lunch. It's not a high end sushi destination, but it's not trying to be. For a casual, affordable meal in Pasadena it gets the job done. Overall a solid option for the price and convenience, and I'd come back if I'm in the area and need something quick and satisfying.

I went on a Thrusday @ 3pm and there was plenty seating, very chill. Great spot if you are eating alone or in small group. Waitress was very nice and food didn't take long to come out. I was very surprised at the size of our plates, it made the price very worth it! Ordered the Spicy bulgogi ramen but I wouldn't say that it's even spicy which is fine for me I'm not even a huge fan of spice. 10/10! My fiancee ordered the Bulgogi entree that comes with steamed rice & miso soup. They are not stingy with meat here and the meat quality is pretty good. 10/10 for him. The nigiri had pretty big pieces of salmon on top so the ratio of fish to rice was a little unbalanced, not enough rice. The salmon was good quality though, 8/10. I also got the baked salmon roll and it was suppose to be spicy but, again, not really spicy lol I loveeee me a warm baked roll though and it was delicious 10/10 Overall I recommend it for casual eats. I want to come back in the evening because their hours say open until 12:30am which could be a late night vibe! Must-try spot with amazing food!!

This is one of the best sushi experiences I've had in a while and at a price point that is affordable, just makes me love this place even more. I feel like this place is giving quality well above their price point and I think it's just amazing. I came here about an hour before they close on a Wednesday evening, and I was greeted with extremely pleasant restaurant staff they were extremely accommodating to a special request that I made and they exceeded expectations on all fronts. Every item we ordered was very good and I can't wait to come back again. This place is also a corner spot so it's relatively easy to find, at least I think so and this is the perfect spot to go to when it's a little later at night for those sushi cravings!

Great food. Great service. Cute and clean restaurant. My bf and I tried this place out after going to Blick Art Materials across the street. The waitresses were so nice and welcoming. The food was fresh and delicious. We ordered the Sushigah Special and the Love Roll. The sashimi was fresh and the Love Roll had a side of fried soft shell crab that was just perfect. Everything 10/10

    Look at those tasty scallops!

I really appreciate the great service here, very attentive. It's a go to for the BSCR roll for me. Generous amount of tender bay scallops atop a fresh California roll. Sitting outside on a sunny day is a real treat and I've always been lucky enough to get seated immediately without a wait. Parking in the school house structure is super convenient.

Came by earlier for the first time with my cousins since we were craving some sushi and we were not disappointed ! Workers are extremely attentive and nice . The food also came out very quickly other than the baked muscles , but that's completely understandable and even then didn't wait too long for those . Very tasty and top quality food , along with the welcoming environment . Would come here all the time if I didn't live so far .. T^T

The chicken teriyaki was generic as you can get. The salmon sushi was chewy and almost not palatable, & the miso soup had a metallic flavor.

We actually stumbled upon this place by accident. We were heading to the Mexican restaurant nearby,…read moreonly to find out it was under construction. This place looked really popular, with a lot of people coming in and out, so we decided to give it a try. The girl seating people when we arrived wasn't particularly friendly, she seemed like she was just going through the motions. Inside looked really busy, so we decided to sit outside. Even with the crazy heat, there was plenty of shade where we were sitting, so it was actually bearable. There was a QR code near the entry way that I had scanned but the young lady ended up bringing us menus, which was helpful. I ordered the shrimp and vegetable tempura bowl with wheat noodles, but actually wanted the Undo noodles but I let it go. My mom ordered the all-vegetable tempura bowl. We also added a piece of chicken breast tempura to each of our meals for some extra protein. The tempura was different from what I'm used to. The batter was very light and flaky, but it was delicious! We both really enjoyed the vegetables. My favorites were definitely the zucchini and pumpkin. Overall, the service ended up being decent as well. Now here's the part I feel bad about mentioning. About 40-60 minutes after we left, my stomach started cramping really badly, and I ended up in the restroom. No need to go into details--it was horrible. I asked my mom how she was feeling, and she was completely fine. We pretty much ate the same meal, with the main difference being that I had the shrimp tempura and she didn't. So naturally, I wondered if maybe I had gotten a bad piece of shrimp. Of course, I can't say for certain that the shrimp was the cause. I'm not going to write this place off as a bad restaurant because of my experience. It could have simply been an unfortunate one-off situation. The place was clearly popular, and by the time we were getting ready to leave, there was actually a line of people waiting to eat. Overall, I think this is probably a good spot and we genuinely enjoyed the food while we were there. Unfortunately, after the way I felt later that day, I just don't know if I'll personally be coming back anytime soon.
