Believe this is called the family deluxe platter. Nice mix of pieces and just the right size for a small family.

Easy telephone ordering, large variety of options to choose from, plenty of parking and our order was ready on time Christmas Day! Good, reliable sushi option in Hawaii Kai! We always do takeout.

Taste different. Not as flavorful. Prices went up and portions got smaller. Sad but reality for most places. $5 for one hand roll now.

Crunch don, dynamite maki, and shrimp tempura nigiri all freshly made nice and warm.

My favorite is the crunch don, dynamite maki, and shrimp tempura maki. I gotta say it's the best I've tried and I'll keep coming back for a quick sushi fix. Service is very good. Ambiance is what you'd expect for a small sushi shop.

I had the Spicy Salmon Maki. Service was great and fast. However, the salmon did not taste super fresh. I paid $19, which is a bit expensive for what it is.

Just hiked the Koko Crater and we were craving some sushi. This came up in a search, so we dined in, ordering couple of their rolls and a Katsu bento box. They were made to order and tasted pretty decent. The rolls were a bit on the larger size (per bite), as the there was more rice than should've been.

Awesome food and experience. I had the chirashi bowl, matcha drink, miso soup, kaarage, and kimchee. The fish was good quality and I liked the proportion of food to rice . I also tried their banana matcha drink, and I'm ngl I don't really care for matcha but I would 100% go back just to get that. They definitely made that with love. The chicken kaarage was crispy, but warm and juicy on the inside. Delicious. Plus, the food came out quickly and the owners and employees were very friendly and welcoming! Had a smile on my face the whole time I was there. Inviting aura for sure. We will definitely be coming back

    Dynamite Maki(8 Pcs)

Good quick sushi fix! They have lots of different options for rolls. I got the dynamite which is 8 pieces but definitely filled me up. The dynamite maki comes with shrimp tempura and cucumber inside with spicy ahi, spicy mayo, and unagi sauce on top. Everything is better with some unagi sauce!! The spicy ahi is cut in small pieces which makes it easier to eat as well as mixes well with the spicy mayo sauce. I wish the shrimp was bigger, but the tempura was soooo crispy adding a great crunch to the roll. Although i wish there was more shrimp I would order this roll again.

Favorite sushi and the customer service is always very professional. It is also nicely nestled close to the ocean for waterfront dining.

Such a lovely experience!…read more My friend and I arrived at 6 pm on Saturday, with no reservation, but there were no other customers at the moment so it was all good. However, I noticed everyone else that arrived after us - 3 different groups, all had reservations, because it is in fact a very a small establishment, so I think in the future we would get a reservation! The servers/owners(?) were so nice, food came out relatively quickly, and it was so fresh and delicious, everything cooked to perfection! I ordered the cold soba (though this was kind of silly of me because I was already cold) and tempura plus salmon nigiri. Quite pricey (about $50 after tip) for a meal for one but I'm glad I tried it. My friend ordered the seared mackerel and honestly I was so shocked how delicious it was, just melts in your mouth! I would definitely go back :)

A Cozy Spot for Japanese Brunch Cravings…read more We were craving a Japanese breakfast, and Koko Inaba was a great find. Tucked away in Koko Marina, it is a small, quaint space with a counter where you can watch the chef work and several tables for seating. Soba, udon, sashimi, tempura -- you pick what you are craving. I ordered the udon with assorted tempura, and everything was done well. The tempura had the perfect fry and crunch, and the udon had a satisfying bite to it. A quiet, welcoming spot for a comforting Japanese meal in East O'ahu.

When people talk about Korean food, they are either talking about Korean BBQ plate lunch places or…read morethey are talking about traditional authentic sit down restaurant style places. This place is the latter and is located in the Nui Valley Shopping Center. My mother-in-law wanted to take us out to eat and said that this place is a good restaurant to eat traditional Korean food. The only thing not traditional was their nice friendly staff from the hello, welcome to Hangang which you probably know, most Korean restaurants, including the ones we ate at in Korea, the staff isn't too friendly. We started out with at least 11different starters aka banchan. They have a nice selection of different sets like the A5 Wagyu set which is a serving for two. It came with A5 Wagyu brisket, chuck flap, ribeye, and bottom sirloin. You have a choice between Kimchi stew, soy bean paste stew, or soft tofu stew and dessert (ice cream or fresh fruit). To me, it wasn't enough meat for the price (we just came back from Japan and Korea where it's a better bang for your buck). I guess we are spoiled. We also got a beef bibimbap hot stone bowl, and short rib soup along with lettuce wrap. Loved how the rice becomes crispy from the hot stone bowl for the bibimbap. Everything was nicely seasoned and really tasty. The service was top notch. When we pressed the bell for service, they came right away. One thing to note, is they do have a private room which is nice as you can have private conversations with your family and friends and not have to be out with everyone else in the restaurant.

We had the saba, which I would say was good. 3/5 Beef curry, which was ok, but the rice was dry. It seemed a tad bit undercooked. Enough to notice and be disappointed by texture and lack of moisture, so I didn't really eat the rice. Curry and beef was quite ordinary. 2/5 Chicken karaage was the only thing I did really like. Best I've had? No. But still great. 4/5 Rump cap was just really disappointing. No flavor and it was not tender. 1/5 Unagi chazuke had good flavor but again the rice was dry. Here is where the service did not impress me. The man who came to pour the broth did it so fast like he was in a rush, maybe he was, that droplets of the broth ricocheted onto my outfit went through and reached my thighs and actually hurt. I didn't react because... well... I didn't want to seem whiny. But that was not ok to be in such a rush that you cause harm or pain to a customer. 1/5 for the service, 3/5 for the dish Overall, wanted to love this place but it sadly disappointed. I didn't even bother to order the honey toast because everything else was overall just ok.

A few things to know: - the place is within a plaza with gated paid parking lot, meaning you can't access the place without paying parking first. That ruled out trying the omakase side in the future. The yakitori was really good though! The veggies tasted best with the teriyaki sauce, and the meats with the shio. A standout was the pork with shiso and the gizzard which was a flavor bomb. Service was really good and the staff were nice. The space was also very nice, I felt like I got transported to Japan and it was cool. Will I go back? Yes, for the yakitori. Did it blow me away? Not quite. Is this the best yakitori I've ever had? Definitely not. So jury's out. You can decide for yourself.:)

The zucchini bao was fantastic - so tender and lightly battered and fried to just add a hint of crunch. The cilantro relish topping was a fun & refreshing contrast to the umami in the sauce. Tender pieces of filet meat sautéed with mushrooms and onions in a wafu sauce.
