The food tasted very authentic Thai, the wonton soup was amazing! Pat Thai was also outstanding!

I was born and raised and Downey, but never thought the Asian restaurants in Downey would be that great compared to those in Cerritos & the OC area. It was just on a whim that I stumbled upon this place on Yelp, so I decided to try this place out. Fantastic! The panang curry had a great balance of spices and lots of chicken. The pad thai was not greasy and not too sweet. The tom yum goong was spicy and had a lot of flavor (it did burn my mouth after awhile). Overall, I honestly have to say that this place beats my long-time favorite Thai place in Cerritos (if you're from the 562 area you know what place I'm talking about... it's tiny & hidden in a commercial lot). It also beats the new Thai place on South St. where the pad thai is said to be the best. Great portions. Not pricey. Hands down. 5 stars. read more

It's nice to have a good Thai place so near our home. They have good meal deals. I chose Dinner #3, which included choice of soup or salad (I had the salad), battered shrimp appetizer, shrimp fried rice, and a shrimp entree (I chose the spicy shrimp). The salad was ok, it had a really sweet honey mustard dressing. The battered shrimp were really nice. As was the spicy shrimp entree and the fried rice. The wifey had the pad see ew (rice noodles and beef and broccoli.) She really liked it. The place is quite American-ized though. There are hardly any thai names in the menu. But the food was good. Also, they brought out all of my food before bringing out my wife's one dish. They need to work on their timing a little bit. The prices are very reasonable too. We paid less than 28 bucks for the both of us, including drinks. The wifey and I will be coming back. read more

I live in Albuquerque, NM and every time I visit LA I must stop in for a quick bite to eat. Love their chicken fried rice (spicy) and the orange chicken. Have yet to find another Thai restaurant that is as good as this one. I'm still looking. You must try. read more

My friend recommended this place and now it has become my fav local Thai food place. I have dined- in and picked up. This is a very small place so don't come here w a party of 20 lol. For some reason it seems like there is only one girl working all the tables but she is very attentive. We came here for a birthday lunch for my coworker. I had never been here before although I'm always in the neighborhood. Their lunch specials provide a lard amount of food for such a small price. I ordered the pad Thai. Pad Thai is always my favorite Thai dish to order. Their Pad Thai was good. We brought a birthday cake and the waitresses were nice enough to bring out a knife, plates, and utensils. I tried their Tom Ka Kai I asked for extra vegetables and even specified broccoli. When I got it home not only did it not have broccoli but had minimal carrots. Tons of mushrooms and onions though. I called back to express my displeasure and after talking to two different woman was told I could come back to get vegetables. This was not happening. Btw they charge extra for extra veggies. Most of my attention goes to the H. Salt but once I just had to, the service was table side but kinda slow, it's not a huge place but it's nice. The Pineapple rice is great. The food is good. Good place to check out when you have the time to spend and the appetite. read more

First off a few months back they changed owners. They had a brief hiccup in flavors but now... Its delicious and consistent.... fresh and I come here once a month ! Better than the place on Firestone. The coconut soup with shrimp is delicious. Pad thai, broccoli beef etc were all a hit. I've been here 5-6 times and all is awesome. Great and speedy service. We tried this place after reading other reviews (ignoring the negative) and we were very happy with what we got! The restaurant is kind of small inside but well taken care of. The service was very quick and the pricing was great too. The shrimp pad thai was delicious, as was the yellow curry. We will definitely keep this as our spot for Thai food. read more

I've always gone to Narai Thai but recently their food hasn't been so great. Sutha is closer so we decided to try it. All around good food. A questionable hair in the rice (and with the soup picture on here, a little worried). Their spice level is really good for the fire level. This is closer and more convenient. read more

This place is pretty quirky. The decor is unique by having Pez dispensers and small toys in clear cabinets all over the restaurant. But enough about the decor...lets talk food! Steamed dumplings... Awesome! Orange chicken (not really thai... But super tasty!) spicy noodle is a good choice since they have different levels of spice. Mixed fried rice is good. Mixed vegetables with oyster sauce is good too. Pretty satisfied with their dishes. I had a meat dish once that was just ok. Needless to say, I recommend for sure! All three have their virtues -- Sizzling Thai is the most down-home, Narai has the creamiest sauces and the best ambience, but Sutha possibly has the best chef. I am a regular. The beef salad on certain days is out of this world, then other days it's blah. It amazes me how they change the type of meat used and the thickness every single time. The Pad Thai is the same with inconsistency and lacks from being visually appealing. The yellow chicken curry is good but their cheap on the chicken and get too much potato. Thai chicken is either tooo dry or moist. Price is very fair. Please start becoming more consistent. read more
