We came to Sutter Creek for a wedding and decided to stay somewhere in the heart of downtown. I looked at a few different places, but this one had both the charm and the piece that I was looking for. We were able to get an early check in, which was wonderful since the wedding was at 3:00. Arianna was extremely friendly and accommodating. The grounds are really nice, with various shaded seating areas, and beautiful flowers. Our room (the woodshed) was so charming, and had everything we needed. The location is great, with super convenient access to shops, restaurants and wine (we had enough time to visit Bella Grace next door, which I highly recommend!) The parking was close without being on the Main Street. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is that I would have loved to see the main house, but we didn't have access to it. I am not sure if at some point they served breakfast, but that wasn't an option when we stayed, which was kind of a bummer when staying at a Bed and Breakfast. Overall, I think that the property was so charming, and I would definitely stay again!

My wife and stayed at Sutter Creek Inn in 2009 and formed a few forever memories--one of which is memorialized in photo form in my Yelp profile picture feed (enjoying wine and olives)--so, when it came time to celebrate our 15th Anniversary we opted to reserve a room there and planned to enjoy some foothill wines. Our plan went according to plan and we had a wonderful time. The room we stayed in was perfect and seemed even better than we remembered. The room was very clean, everything worked, and had a small private patio where we enjoyed the wine and snacks that we bought at a few wine tasting shops that we walked to.

A slice of heaven in Sutter Creek fall in love with this place.... SUCH a quiet and peaceful spot, was the easiest booking and check in/ out experience I have witnessed as a traveler. Family owned makes the biggest difference! The grounds are gorgeous and well kept, the room was perfect. Fireplace, swinging bed & huge soaking tub.. all warm and ready for us upon arrival. We will be back!

If you are looking to stay at one of the oldest bed n breakfast in California this is the place. The nostalgia of the old furniture, bathroom and design is different. The room did have a musty smell that was hard to get used too. It's a quiet Inn. They don't offer much. No breakfast. The grounds are clean and beautiful! Lots of quiet cute sitting areas. Right in the heart of Sutter creek. Cute shops and restaurants. Pictures on the website are a bit deceiving. Photo shopped.

Sutter Creek Inn was the first bed and breakfast in the west. If you ever drive on highway 49 you'll have to stop and visit the cutest little town known as Sutter Creek and stay for the night at Sutter Creek Inn. We slept on a swinging bed and when we laid down on the bed I couldn't stop saying how I had wished we had this type of bed when our children were little because the bed would rock them back to sleep. The Inn is so beautiful. They serve amazing breakfast in the morning. This is a bed and breakfast type of inn. We had never tried a cheesy hash brown casserole before our stay at Sutter Creek Inn. It was so good that now I make it once a week at home. We love when Inns have private cottages that have private entrances and this Inn sure has that. The fireplace in the room made it cozy.

What a lovely inn! Soaking tub is fantastic as well as fireplace. New proprietors are great and have done a lovely job of updating the decor. We loved it. Romantic, spotless and comfortable!

We recently stayed at this inn with the new inn keepers. They are an amazing couple. Our room was ready early and they allowed us to check in. They prepared the fireplace for our use, had the heat turned on, brought in extra towels and bedding we requested. The room had bottled water and kuerig in the room for our morning coffee. We stayed in Jane's Room and had our own private patio. It was my sisters first time staying and they loved this inn. We will be returning!

Great location and friendly service! Walking distance to many restaurants, shops, and wineries. We were lucky enough to tour many of the rooms and each one looked cozy and had unique decorations. Books and board games are present in each room to keep you entertained. The grounds are well kept and make you feel like you have escaped to a secret garden. Highly recommend staying here if you are in the Sutter Creek area!

If you like swimming in moss and weeds then go for it. See photos attached. The second thing is they boast about having an outdoor kitchen. It is a kitchen without a freezer. I like ice cream when I vacation but no place to store. The facility is in Superb condition. The rooms are Stupendous, the one we had anyway. Very nice excellent air conditioning. The outdoor tub was outstanding. To top things off you can control everything from your normal switch plates/light switch. I would highly recommend this place but be Very Leary of the Pond that you should Not be swimming in. This review is from a 10 year Elite/Black badge. I sure hope this assists someone

We checked in after 6pm, so check in instructions were texted to us. Easy to follow. Was easy to find. We stopped at Wally's Pizza for dinner in Cameron Park based off their restaurant suggestions on their website and sent via text check in instructions. Great suggestion! The next mornings breakfast is texted the night before, offering some options like juice preference. And it's delivered around 9am the next morning. Since we had to be at rafting at 9 our first morning at the Inn, they delivered us fruit, scones, and juice early at 8:15am which was really nice. Breakfast was delicious, both mornings. And super fresh. We stayed in the Cypress room. Was as pictured online. Room was clean. The patio area is nice. We explored the grounds a bit our last morning and saw many places to sit around. We enjoyed some time up at the pond in the morning. The staff - I assume owners - were very friendly. We were very happy with our stay here and would return!

From the linens to the décor, super luxurious accommodations set amongst acres of vineyards, each suite with it's own private deck overlooking Tuscany-style views in the heart of Amador wine country. The meals were uber fresh (filling enough that we skipped lunch both days!). Every day around 5 you're treated to wine and cheese. Perfect location to wine taste on property or venture out to the growing number of top rated wineries. Walk amongst the vineyards or take out one the beach cruisers or trikes for a ride around. Our suite (one of five) was absolutely stunning. The Innkeeper (the first of three amazing Innkeepers) had the gas fireplace lit, and wonderful instrumental music playing, as she showed us our suite. The food was phenomenal: gourmet breakfasts, 5:00 wine and cheese, and homemade cookies in the evening. My favorite part was the patio with a fire pit overlooking the vineyard. It is difficult to find such peace and serenity anywhere. Aah... We anticipate return visits
