What a fantastic experience. Admittedly, I just went to look at trailers, having already decided I liked the R-Pod line. I was met at the door by Roger and things couldn't have gone more smoothly. No pressure to buy, just accompanied me around the lot as I looked at various models. It turns out that Roger had only been there about two weeks, having recently un-retired from auto sales. If he didn't know an answer he made sure to find it out for me. He also introduced me to John and Terry during the discussion process and I walked away a proud owner. My car has to be fitted with towing equipment and I can drive away. Each phase went smoothly, unhurredly, and with no pressure. I'll post a follow-up here once I go through the delivery process, but for now I couldn't recommend them (and Roger) highly enough! read more

Walked around for an hour and nobody acknowledged us. The sales lady walked by many times and never even said hi. Other people came after us and we're seen before us. Very unprofessional service. When we finally had enough we started to walk to the car and finally we were asked if we had any questions. I told them we had question but we were going to give our business to somebody else. I was referred by my dealer in KC to have some warranty service work done on my 2012 Jayco fiver, because Suttons is a member of Route 66 RV Network. I was a little nervous based on the low stars and some soft reviews. I am happy to say that it went great, they got me right in and diagnosed the water heater problem (bad pc board). They had the part in stock and I was in and out in about 3 hours. They were very nice, accommodating and professional. I got to meet the owner George and we had a nice talk. I would not hesitate to send anyone to this place for service... (Note: they are a towables only dealership... I don't know if they do chassis work... I would assume so. read more

I purchased a new Excel fifth wheel from Sutton RV and the whole experience was exceptional. We traveled from out of state to purchase the unit and because there was little chance of repeat business, I didn't expect much from them. The sales and service staff really surprised us by immediately addressing the minor issues we discovered and they even hauled me around town to buy a special set of batteries. Sutton's staff were VERY accomodating and a pleasure to deal with. read more

Took our 2014 airstream into Sutton earlier this summer and had them do some repairs (shower vent replacement and check the hot water bulb light). While we were there we also had them de-winterize it and they said they could fix the rattle in the shower wall pipe. All was charged but not done - with the exception of the shower vent. They even told us the water heather light was never supposed to work even though it comes on and off intermittently. Oh and they said we definitely needed our wheel bearings packed - something we had never done and that it was dangerous to have neglected this. They charged us to take the wheels off only to realize our wheel did not need bearings packed - that is only needed on older models. You would assume they could have realized this by the date of our rig before they started any work. And then to charge us for it?!?! I would never go back there again. read more

We purchased a new 2017 Voltage in April with plans for a nice vacation this summer to Bryce Canyon, Grand Canyon, 4 corners, San Diego. We knew there would be items that needed to be fixed and figured this would allow us to enjoy our new trailer worry free, when we went to accept delivery of the unit there were so many problems we left it at their service department on 4/29/17. The unit was at Sutton until May 20, 2017 when I arrived to find out it had just been sitting there in the service department and more than 90% of the work had not even been addressed or assigned to a service tech. Reluctantly I had to pick it up due to a planned camping trip. Got the trailer home while getting ready for our first trip the rear ramp door wouldn't open so I could load the RZR, not a good start for our first trip. I documented and showed the dealer where there were multiple voids in the sealer none of these we corrected. While we were using it of course we found many other items that were not functional and added them to the list of needed repairs. Trailer returned to Sutton RV on 5/29/17 to complete all of the necessary repairs documented on our original inspection and address the new items found during our first trip to be assures that all items would be corrected. I informed the service department that I needed it by June 10th and was informed that this wouldn't be a problem. On June 10th, I was advised that all work wasn't completed and they needed more time. I agreed to give them until June 16th the day we needed to leave for our next trip. I arrived on June 16th to find out once again that the majority of the repairs we incomplete. After reviewing the work order I noticed that the Service Tech stated that repairs we completed but upon checking his work I noticed that he never even attempted to do the repairs. The ramp was still not opening and all of the voids in the sealer were still not addressed along with a long list of other repairs that had yet to be started. I emailed Keystone RV, George M Sutton, and Markus Alexander at Sutton RV with a comprehensive list of items that still weren't repaired and even noted the line item number from their work order. Response from Markus Thank you for the concise list of items and photos which still need to be worked on. I am sorry to hear what your experience has been thus far and we will work very hard to make this a better experience for you. Heidi or Cole from our Service department will call you promptly so we may schedule the best time for you bring your Voltage back in for the repairs. I have had extensive conversations with Cole Riddle at Sutton RV and Keystone RV to ensure all repairs would be completed and our planned vacation in August would be very enjoyable. Today I went to pick up our trailer August 05, 2017 to find that the voids in the sealer have not been fixed along with a long list of other items. I asked to speak directly to Markus to be informed by the Sales Manager he was unavailable and would not even answer his phone calls. I'm frustrated beyond belief at this point. Our planned vacation is only days away and I had to leave the unit there once again. I would not suggest to anyone to consider doing ANY business with Sutton RV. I would drive to Portland, Seattle or anywhere else to purchase a new or used RV. The customer service here is absolutely in the toilet and our salesman was quite the arrogant ass that should have been our first sign to walk away. Wow... so we were greeted promptly by a salesperson and asked what we were interested in. Salesperson was courteous and quick to get us into the unit we were interested in. Plugged it in so we could play with the features. Talked it over and decided hey, let's talk some numbers! This is where everything falls apart. The salesperson stated he needed some help because he was new with the numbers aspect. No problem! We were all new once! We asked for their best price (I mean of course we did) and was told the MSRP. Told them about the trade and wouldn't give us a price other than MSRP. They told us they couldn't pay it off because the MSRP of the trailer was about the same cost of our older trailer. Not true. Maybe he misquoted. No big deal. Told them without a trade what is their best price. At this post we overheard the sales manager say he likes our trade. He also says that we need to throw out a number on what we were willing to pay. Once again was quoted MSRP and asked how much we would like to pay. At this point instead of continuing the run around we thanked them for their time and left. Wouldn't buy from them. read more

Forest River fifth wheel rvs are the worst on the market. Nothing but problems. No warranty. George Sutton rv is the worst rv dealership to work with in Eugene Oregon. They talked me into getting a $4,000.00 extended warranty to cover my 2016 Forest River Wildcat Maxx that I purchased used in 2017. George Sutton has done nothing but lie about the warranty which did not cover any problems I had with my purchase. In fact I had to pay $1,800.00 on repairs. Repairs which were not my fault. We were in the middle of a road trip when we discovered that our old trailer leaked badly. We are from So. California where rain is a rare event, and we didn't think to check for leaks before leaving. Long story short: By the time we got to Eugene, it was obvious we needed to replace our 33 year-old Winnebago. Christopher Bauman was wonderful, very patient and helpful, and found a perfect trailer to fit our current needs. The rest of the staff were equally nice, efficient, and had us back on the road with our new trailer in record time. Christopher even helped us move everything from the old trailer to the new one in a pouring rain. Thanks to all of the folks at Sutton, we are now happy campers again. read more

I waited to post this to give the company a chance to reply to the concerns I e-mailed them about. No reply in more than 2 weeks so... I called looking for parts for my T@B camper, I live out of state and do not have a local dealer. The good, one of the parts guys was quick and friendly about getting back to me, letting me know the price, and saying shipping was high from the company but he would try to make is most feasible for me. It seemed like he was really working to help me out. I purchased the parts and they came without difficulty. The bad, I had made contact with the trailer maker website about the same time I contacted the dealer. They didn't get back to me for about a month but when they did I found out that Sutton RV upcharged me almost 50% not including the shipping!! That seems like a bit of a "handling" charge given he only made a phone call to place the order and call me back. I feel they took advantage of me. A 10% upcharge may have been acceptable given the whole order time for Sutton RV was maybe 15 minutes (it was shipped to me directly from the other company). Or even better would have been to give me the contact of Pleasant Valley Teardrop trailers (330)852-4811 so I could call myself. Either of these would have made me likely to return as a customer. I even e-mailed the company with my complaint to see if they cared but I guess not. As it is now I won't return unless I don't have any other options. read more

We purchased a 5th wheel at the beginning of the year. We had an appt to pick it up from out of town in 2 weeks, but it was very obvious they didn't bother to go over it until we pulled into their parking lot. Their lack of attention to detail, from propane leaks to inoperable electronic components, plus lack of follow through has been disappointing. Still no resolution six months later! read more

I guess you either love or hate this place. We liked it. We had a pleasant experience. Marie was nice, typical sales person trying to make sales, maybe a little overbearing at times but she treated us well and once we agreed on a price it stayed at that price. The finance guy was great. The service people were good and prices were fair for accessories + they offer a veterans discount. I must say Jeff really doesn't seem to know what's going on or suggest things you need but he was friendly. I would recommend this dealership, just wish things would have moved a little faster. We bought a 40 ft fifth wheel Trailer to travel the united states. This was last July it is now January of 2016 and we still can not go on our travels because of furniature which was dammaged when we purchased the rig. Sutton service dept is really good at passing the buck. We have even contacted the manufacturer and they assured us it was all taken care of and we still have not heard from them. when we call them they don't ever know anything duhhh. We live 250 miles from Eugene and it is kind of inconvienent to go and jack them up when we need answers. We have furniature that is vinyl with tears in the fabric that they just want to repair? I could go on and on but my advice would be to stear clear of George Sutton RV. As soon as you buy the rig they forget who you are! read more

My neighbors had a horrible experience at Sutton RV. They are both turning 80 and have been life-long hikers and campers but wanted a more comfortable option. One of the small @TAG units looked like it would fit their needs, so the dealership cheered them on, and had them order one brand new. They went to pick it up and it hadn't been cleaned or checked out (there were some mis-fitting parts), plus their car hitch had to be completely rewired for compatibility. They towed the unit home with their 4-cylinder Forester, terrified the whole way because they weren't used to towing anything, much less a really wide camper that blocked their entire view. The unit was parked in their garage 2 days, never used, while they realized they had made a huge mistake. Sutton wouldn't even take the unit back to sell for them as "used", and refused to consider helping them in any way. My neighbors weren't trying to scam the dealership; they just needed help getting this trailer off their hands in the most cost-effective manner possible. It's on consignment at Guaranty RV in Junction City, if anyone wants a great deal on a non-used @TAG. read more

My wife and I are the proud and satisfied owners of a 2012 Airstream Classic which we bought from Sutton RV in May of last year. We had done a LOT of research with our local and some national dealers but were still unsure what sort of RV would be best for us. We live in Montana, over 800 miles from Eugene, but were vacationing in Oregon when we made a last minute decision to see what more we might be able to learn from a west coast dealer. Mark Henrich, a Sutton RV salesman was willing to come in on a Sunday, show us through the considerable Airstream inventory at Sutton, patiently answer our questions and finally help us make our own decision as to which model which would work the best for us. When we made the decision to make the purchase we went with Sutton, despite the distance, because of their low-key sales and professional negotiation approach and our sense that this was a dealer we could trust. Our decision to buy from Sutton RV was strongly affirmed this summer when we returned to Sutton for the first time since our purchase. We've been on our first long journey in the Airstream, taking a slow crawl across the west and up the coast since December of '12. We arrived with a long list of things we needed attended to. We were far from home and concerned about what we (and our two big Labs) would do if we had to be without our trailer for a day or two. In any case we put our to-do list and the trailer into Shop Foreman Pat's capable hands at 8:00 AM and headed off to the Cascades to scout future camping sites. When we got back late that afternoon we absolutely could not believe it, but Pat and his crew had everything done, all covered by the terms of our warranty. We hooked up the trailer, headed to a local camp ground, and took a really close look at what had been done. We were totally pleased with the workmanship and amazed that it could be done so quickly and well. I have read all the reviews and find it unfortunate that yelp has become a social media for complaints. The RV business can be a rough road. I have not owed a RV that didn't some issues. I live in Olympia and have been to Sutton RV on many occasions. Have always been treated well. I now own a 10 year old Airstream and I have no expectations that nothing will go wrong. When it does I will take to Sutton. If they get it wrong I will take it back. Service department is busy BUT has always treated me with respect. I do not expect them to K-M-A. We had fabulous customer service. Shawn was very helpful in helping us with the fifth wheel we chose and worked with us on pricing. They held the unit for over a month while we sold our house. I contacted George Sutton rv from an add I saw on Craigslist ...I got in contact with a lady named marie.....I brought my own fiancing they didn't have to do a thing really. ...we messaged a few times I had explained to her in great detail this rv wasn't gonna be a camping thing it was gonna be our home since we're homeless ...she said she understood ....she texts us later that day says it's ours ....my husband noticed it was never taken off craigslist but I told him mabye they forgot ...she contacted us the next day with we needed a 1000 dollar down payment I explaiNed it would be hard so she called the fiance company and got it lowered but it went back and fourth at the 1000 according to her...so I agreed to it and then she said it was gonna get ran through and put in storage for the 8 days I needed to come up with the money ...she told us no problem ...so the next day came with another crushing blow ...say her lot said something ....and oh yeah they want the 1000 right now...I ask why we made a deal...she didn't answer ...she said it's not a problem she will help us find another one ..blah blah blah ...but my husband told me it's still on Craigslist ....it never came off ...so any way we tried several times to contact her and she wouldn't answer her fone ...when she finally did my husband was told she talk to me and I said we didn't need the rv anymore ...witch was in true ...so then the search was on again ..and she had this other lady call us saying how they wanted to help us ..and all and I haven't received not one fone call from her since ..mean while we're still homeless our fianceing is gone ..and all they did was lie to us ...I wanted to believe there was good people out there but I haven't found one yet.....so anyway here's my story ..they will lie to u ...and sell things behind ur back .... read more

Pretty angry right now and sad for the hubby. We bought a new camper from Sutton RV. which I would recommend no one ever go there!!!!! They went through our truck twice told us multiple times that the camper we were about to purchase would fit perfect for our truck. Weight and all everything would work out. We took the camper out once and blew the airbags in our truck. We then called them right away to let them know all the things that were happening. They then told us to do all the options to our truck another $2000 or so and we did and that still didn't help. We have been going back and fourth with them for a few weeks now and nothing has changed we literally can't haul this camper safely on our truck and its a brand new camper.. They have finally made a decision and won't take the camper back they would only give us half of what we paid an we would lose thousands plus the money we put down on it. Not sure what else to do now the fact that they can get away with this and not even care. Its brand new take the dame camper back we don't even care about the extra money right now. Pissed there is nothing we can do but angry as a business owner that you would do something like this to your customers. I have nothing good to say about that company. read more

My star rating above is about the service after the sale-or at least after the commitment of the sale. We purchased a 27FT Airstream from them early June of this year. We are very happy with the trailer (even though we already have to have about 5 items of warranty work done to it already)-we were even happy with the service for the walkthrough when we picked up our trailer. My warning is for anyone that needs to actually converse about the pending sale or after the sale-dont assume they will contact you. Its been a bit of a game with my husband and I as to how many calls we could make into them without them being answered. Always with the excuse that they are so busy they just dont have time. We had questions regarding pickup, pricing and service during and after the sale-not once did they return our calls, but we ended up figuring it out ourselves for the most part, but it was pretty frustrating. Sutton-if you read this, good for you for being so busy, but you are sacrificing service by not having enough people to deal with it which means everything in the end. read more

Bought an Airstream in approx. October of 2011 and dealt with Mark Heinrich. Fabulous experience with no buyer remorse. Mark's level of Airstream knowledge was incredible. After paying for the rig, which I felt was a win/win, we were advised to take it to a nearby campground for a shake down. The salesman was so great that we invited him to stop by on his way home for a small celebration. Before celebrating, he insisted on a walk through when he found a defective switch. He got somebody from the service department to fix it after hours and on the spot so that we didn't have to return to the dealership. I even called him twice from the road. We met the owner who also treated us well. The employees said he was a great employer. Sold the beautiful Airstream due to my age and am looking for a motorhome. Mark no longer there and salesman with whom I connected via telephone never got back to me. Done. Seems to be the new way of doing business with younger salespeople. Glad I retired from being an employer as the work ethic and manners disappoint. read more

My experience with the Sutton RV service department was terrible. Their sales dept. was good though. I purchased a used fifth wheel from them and their so called detailed check of their units is the worst. I expected to have some small things wrong with purchasing a used unit. To start with they backed my trailer in to their service shop (pictures of damage area available) separating a roof seam. By not checking the roof seams it was delivered. Upon their delivery driver leaving the site of delivery he/she left 3 of the outside storage doors wide open plus lights and the stereo on. I wasn't able to see my unit for about 7 days but in that seven days it rained and poured. Needless to say the whole inside rear was soaked including the rear wall and 10 feet in carpet and sub-floor was soaked. Also the front outside storage areas were soaked. After another 2 weeks(still in the rain) they agreed to retrieve the unit and fix the damage but not claiming responsibility of the damage. After it was supposedly fixed it was delivered a second time and this time the driver missed the driveway and backed the unit into a 3 foot drainage ditch sinking on side down to the frame damaging the scissor jack and impacting mud and dirt all the way to the axles of the unit before pulling out and trying again (pictures again). The driver said nothing about this and let me find out about the additional damage. In addition the inside power outlets didn't work after they replaced the rear interior back wall. After three months they finally agreed to send a new jack. Their fix of the roof seam was just to add additional caulking to the seams which did not work. I ended up paying a professional to repair it the right way and this time do to the damage part of the roof had to be replaced. I also had to have the sub-floor of the storage areas replaced do to the massive water damage. Their service crew also missed that the shower was leaking into the underside of the unit and also the toilet was leaking into the underside also (leaking raw sewage). These were seals that had to be replaced which the service department should had discovered when they had the unit hooked up to a water source during their service check. When one of their service members came out to look at the seams again he said to me about the storage damage that "If it's not one thing it's another." My first thought was that it was damage the your outfit produced and that comment was extremely unprofessional and uncalled for. I will never do business with outfit again and will advise everyone I know to shop elsewhere for their RV needs. Which is too bad because I'm looking to purchase a new 40ft toy hauler and I will NOT shop here. read more

I ordered a very expensive Airstream through this dealer in November 2013 and was supposed to take delivery this March. Everything was OK until I requested that the trailer not be towed over the heavily salted roads from the factory to Eugene. I was willing to go to the factory and take delivery there or at a nearby dealer and then pay to store it so that it wouldn't be damaged by the road salts. Long story short, not only was I led to believe that Airstream was aware of my concerns and that my salesman had an agreement with Airstream to delay shipment until other arrangements could be made, the next I hear from my salesman is that my trailer had been shipped without the salesman's orders to do so. I didn't want to buy a trailer with potential damage that wouldn't show up for months but has been well documented, the salesman understood and agreed to refund our $5000 deposit. Then the "owner" of the RV dealership got involved and told me that in order for me to go ahead with the purchase of the trailer I had to wire the money into his bank account and overnight the transfer of ownership paperwork to him and then and only then I would be allowed to see and pick up my Airstream and then immediately hitch up the trailer and tow it off of the lot. This is not how things are usually done. There is usually a pre-purchase inspection and then you sign the paperwork for transfer of ownership. This violates all agreements and is outside of what is normal and customary in picking up an ordered RV from any dealership. He says that because I will not comply with his terms, I forfeit my right to the trailer and to my deposit. He is in essence, setting up conditions that no one on this planet would agree too and so outside the norm as to be utterly ridicules and is in essence "stealing" my deposit because he says so. This was all done through emails and no phone conversations so there is documented proof of what occurred, no he said she said but we are still going to have to sue to get our money back. read more

We purchased a used 5th wheel toy hauler from Sutton. We agreed on a price and monthly payment limit. But it took Sutton almost 2 weeks to get their paperwork in order and schedule us to come back to sign papers - never bothering to call us with updates or just to let us know that they hadn't forgotten about us. We had to call them twice to see what was going on. Ironically, my spouse and I half jokingly said that because of the long, silent, wait, bet they would change the price on us, giving the excuse that someone there lost the original agreement...., guess what? At signing they upped the price on us, and gave the excuse that someone in their office supposedly made a mistake when writing down the numbers. They refused to come down to the original agreed upon price, and as they already had possession of our trade-in, we met them half way on the higher amount. Should have walked out right then and there. During the walk-through at the dealership, there were items we had pointed out that needed repairs/attention, and were told that they would be fixed before delivery. Upon delivery we found some were not done as promised. Also upon delivery, the main slide would not extending fully, which was an issue we had noticed and photographed while still at the dealership, and had intended to question it during the walk-through but had forgot as we had an emergency during the walk-through (a brother was in a car accident and broke his neck and his back), but we still had photographic proof to show that there was a problem beforehand. But when we tried to address the issue right after delivery no one at Sutton wanted to discuss it with us. As we didn't have a tow vehicle to bring the RV back in to be looked at, all we asked for was for one of their service employees to come take a look (we live in the same area) at the slide and give us their suggestion or opinion - if it was a serious matter or not - we didn't ask for them to fix it, but they couldn't be bothered to do even that, in fact after a number of phone messages, no one ever called us back to even try to discuss the matter over the phone. Not one single call. How's that for customer service. Based on the photos the slide problem is quite prominent, and yet Sutton claims that they thoroughly inspect used RV's and told us that they do not accept bad RV's as trade-ins. BTW, they sold the RV to us with seriously expired propane tanks and didn't bother to mention it. Shame on us for forgetting to question the slide problem while at the dealership, and shame on Sutton for claiming top notch customer service....once they have your money, they can't be bothered with you any more. Oh yeah, a week after we'd giving up on them ever returning our phone calls, they called us to ask if we wouldn't mind doing a customer service satisfaction survey over the phone. Really?! read more

I purchased a 2015 25' Forest River travel trailer at George M. Sutton in March 2015. While I have been quite happy with the trailer, I have found George M. Sutton's dealership to be dishonest and lacking in follow-through. Prior to purchasing the trailer, the salesman told me that the trailer had a backup camera. Once I purchased the trailer, I realized that it was only wired for a backup camera, but the camera itself needed to be purchased separately. I addressed this with Sean in the sales department; he stated that he would order the backup camera and provide it to me at a reduced rate. I reluctantly agreed, given the misinformation the salesman had provided. It has now been eight months since I purchased the trailer, and, despite multiple follow-up calls to the sales department, I have no backup camera. In fact, they have not once initiated contact with me regarding this issue. Based upon the initial mis-representation, followed by dishonest and disingenuous service, I cannot recommend this dealership. In the video on their website, George M. Sutton states "My grandfather and dad would be proud that we put customer satisfaction first". I think his grandfather and dad would be disappointed; I certainly am. read more
