On 8/23 my wife paid for and left a certified letter with a return receipt. As of 9/20, there was no response so we went to the branch to find out what happened. We spoke to a very rude employee named Lydia who in true postal stereotypes, did not want to help us nor did she care. When I called in on Monday, I was told there was nothing they could do but give me a refund which doesn't help the fact that the letter is still somewhere. This is the 2nd and last time I will step foot in that poor excuse of a postal office! My advice STAY AWAY!! DO NOT ENTER!! However, if you like poor service and numerous excuses, then this is the place for you. I only have them one star because I can't give them a negative number. If you do go, stay away from Lydia! She's no help and only there to count the minutes until her shift ends. read more

We have been waiting for our PASSPORT appointment for our 3 kids for almost three weeks. We came early, before the scheduled time for our appointment. We realized we did one mistake in one of our applications and started to rewrite it. Later came CINQUE. He was rude and disrespectful. He said that he cancelled our appointment because we were not ready. I said we were ready and all the forms and documents are ready, only one of 3 applications had a mistake which can be fixed in 1 minute. CINQUE answered, "No, we can't accept this, come another day." He knew we couldn't come in on another day since all the Saturdays were unavailable a month in advance. I cannot explain such an unjust attitude towards our family, it's just RACISM and DISCRIMINATION from CINQUE. It's so sad that such people work in USPS. read more

Someone said they can't understand the negative reviews. I certainly can. I've been using the Suwanee post office for 12 years. My chief complaint is with mail delivery and not so much the office. In fact, my review would be five stars if they could get mail into the right boxes. I'm not asking a lot, but having to make regular trips to my neighbors and them to me to deliver mail and packages hardly seems right. If this happened once in a while I'd understand. We are human. However, this is on the regular lately. Today I'm missing a package that was marked delivered from the seller. I'm just hoping it comes to one of my neighbors and they deliver it and not another neighborhood or someone who doesn't want to take on the task of mail delivery (can't blame them). As far as the office goes, it's hit or miss for the energy in the room. Sometimes they are very pleasant and friendly and other times a bit snappy. They're efficient though. The line does move fairly quickly. The passport lady was awesome, very kind, patient, and great sense of humor (refreshing for sure). read more

I came here for the sole purpose of getting my daughter a passport. My boyfriend and I are taking her on a trip over the holidays, and as anyone knows, you gotta get the passport thing rolling early, or pay for the expedited fee costs to get the passport sooner. I knew it was exactly 8 weeks from when we went to the post office, so I figured that would be enough time. I heard the lines for passports are huge, so I did the wise step of making an appointment for this. I did have to pull my daughter out of school early just to make the appointment, though, which I hated to do but felt it was necessary. I arrived with plenty of time to spare for my slotted time. A woman came up behind me and said she had already done her passport, but had forgotten some items, so had to come back. The lady who was doing the passports took her back first, which didn't seem right since she was already behind on my reserved time. It was another 25 minutes, and she didn't come get me, even though the lady she took before me was long gone. I got in the regular post office line, and said I had an appointment time, and no one was coming out, and he pointed to the lady behind the counter and said, "that's her." So I went up to her and said that I had pulled my child out of school for this, and she said she would be with me soon, but showed zero sense of urgency, and took her time getting me back. She was nicer when she got me back because she could tell I was quite irritated, but still. It was just frustrating. I am glad you only have to do that every ten years...now I gotta hope she takes care of it, and we get my child's passport on time. read more

It's not even because of covid . Horrible customer service. My package was delivered to the wrong location. No biggie I wasn't too worried I just wanted to know if they might've returned it or if anything how long it might be til I receive it. I wasn't even mad or anything when she decided to proceed to yell at me that I was just assuming the package was here and that it wasn't and that she already told me it wasn't when I know she didn't check. Then called another guy who she said hadn't even worked all week just for him to Also "assume" my box isn't there. They yelled at me in front of the entire post office. I wasn't rude I wasn't mad I was literally just there to check. I went to the home it was delivered to they politely told me they did return it. So yes my box is at the post office the lady was just to lazy to do her job. She shouldn't be working there. Can't give these useless and lazy people a negative star. Didn't bother to deliver or pick up mail from my box because they couldn't get their truck right next to it. Maybe get out, take 2 steps, and do your job. Plus, they continue to jam packages that don't fit and end up damaging the contents. I have been going to this post office since 2007, and have NEVER had a bad experience. We have a post office box there and go in 2-4 times a week. The staff is always friendly, accommodating, and greet me with a smile. The facilities are very clean and tidy. I don't understand the negative reviews that some have left. This USPS doesn't like to work. They never fix delivery issues, delivered my mail to somewhere, delivered my neighbors mails to me, don't deliver mail over a week... over 23 years. A parade of idiots! I have complained and complained to the Postmaster. My complaints fall on deaf ears. Where do I begin? Let's start with most recent issues. I got a pile of my neighbor's mail in addition to my mail. My other neighbor brought two packages that were delivered to his house. My son shipped a package and it has been lost for over a month. I shipped a package and rather than tracking showing it was picked up they entered it as delivered. Amazing that it was instantly across the country the same day. I tried to avoid the ridiculously long line to drop off a package with a label that required a receipt. The machine was broken, no one cared or offered any assistance. I was told the person who would fix it was out for a week. The people are not friendly and it is very clear they couldn't care less about anything. These issues are just the most recent. The post office in Suwanee is terrible. Twenty years ago when we moved here they were great. The rates go up and the service continues to decline. Thank God for email and other options because it is very clear that you CANNOT depend on the Post Office. read more

The outside makes our wonderful little town look like the slums. There are weeds and they are over grown and have over taken the grass. Their sign needs to be painted. And there is trash all over the parking lot. Then there's customer service. Or should I say lack of. I dread going in there. They call you out in front of people are just rude. And Suwanee if you are reading this, you need to tell your drivers to slow down. They are fly through our little neighborhood that has very narrow streets, and the homes are close to the street (garages are in back), like a bat of hell. They're going to hit someone or go through someone's front window trying to avoid it. That's all on top of slow delivery times and incorrect deliveries. Which I've come to expect from USPS. Being rude and overtly unhelpful must be a requirement to work here. I came in at 2:30pm on a weekday, and the line wasn't long (maybe 2-3 people in line). Three registers were open, which was great. I get up to the counter to ask about fitting a shipping label on a box in a way that would be acceptable. I was met with attitude and displeasure. I taped my box up, asked if I should put it to the side (which seemed to be a mountain of boxes and packages to be shipped), and the lady behind the counter there said "to the left". I set my box down on an empty opening on the counter next to the mountain, but, being unsure if this would go out with the pile or be assessed by an employee (it was in front of a computer), I asked, "is right here okay?" The lady didn't even look up and loudly said, "TO THE LEFT". Okay lady, I was simply asking so I could make sure my package would be sent correctly, making YOUR job easier. Don't be rude to customers. It's very disheartening that people who interact with the public daily would have this kind of chip on their shoulders. If you hate your job, find something else. You're making it unenjoyable for everyone else as well. This isn't the first time I've come into this place for a simple task. Not only are the employees rude and always rushing things that don't need to be rushed, but they are ignorant. If I ask you a simple question, take five seconds to look at me and answer the damn question. If you can't do that, don't work in a job that requires basic communication skills and human decency. read more

People, this is the worst USPS I have ever been to. The counter personnel have 2 speeds, slow & stop. They are also very uninformed and lack training. Unless you are buying stamps or mailing something, good luck. They have to stop to ask questions and I do not mean the clerk waiting on you, I mean everyone behind the counter stops and have a union meeting to decide what and how to accomplish something. The lines are indeed very long and it seems funny why the only good review is first and it is from 2014!!!!! It seems pretty staged to me also. It says Elite 2019. I think Yelp is fishing on this one. 5 years old. How much did they have to pay you for this one!!!! Photos of the interior and a glorious review? I think not! I had a money order to return and stopped in one morning about 9:00. I was told by the clerk she did not have enough money to give to me. It took a good while to explain what I needed as she had a language barrier but finally I got her to understand I needed $90 for the return of a money order and she told me the US Post Office did not have $90. That's when they needed to have that union meeting. Perhaps all of them combined would have had the $90!!! And why did I need to get a refund on the money order? It is because they lost it the first time it was mailed and I had to purchase a duplicate and refile my paperwork with the State of Georgia. They lost an envelope between Suwanee and Atlanta? They also lost an envelope between Suwanee and Washington DC. and a host of other items were lost in the mail both sent and received mail items. So.... I waited until 11:30 on a Saturday morning to try again to return the money order. The luck of the Irish I have not. I got the same woman, heavy accent to boot, and of course, she said she did not have enough money again. I stated that she told me that earlier in the week. Now I am angry and said you told me the same thing last time I stopped in. You mean to tell me the USPS does NOT have $90 at 11:30 on a Saturday? Needless to say, they were busy as Hell and I had to wait in line big time. I thought I'd call her bluff and said then give me $90 in stamps. Deer in Headlights!!! Not a clue. The clerk next to her got involved to try to help this woman make the transaction. OK, she goes to get the stamps and comes back. She now asks for ID. Keep in mind that I have the money order itself, the receipt and the letter from the State but still, they need my ID. I gave her my license and another union meeting takes place and I am told they can't do it because I am not the signor of the money order. I stated that I was the signor on the original and bought it from the lovely woman at the end of the counter, who is perhaps the only person at this entire location with a brain and personality. I stated it was for my business and when I found out from the state that they never received this, I had one of the guys pick up a replacement. NADA. Oh, and my business has had a PO Box here for a year and they somewhat know me. I just canceled my PO Box in Suwanee. I shudder to think what else is missing. I was constantly waiting on mail that customers said was sent 10 days before and a week before. I'd stop to check and the box was empty and come back a day or 2 later and it was jammed full!!! Sometimes the mail was 10-12 days old!!!!! I walked out and will never set foot in there again and have also sent a formal complaint to the Postmaster. I now drive to the Post Office in Duluth in the Publix Shopping Center on Buford Hwy & Old Peachtree, a mere 5 minute drive further and the difference is like night and day. read more

the people working here are so disrespectful and rude! i came in 30 minutes before closing (5:30) i came to the kiosk and the kiosk wouldn't get off a certain screen. i went to the front to ask for help and she told me "we're closed" and i repeated what i said and she said "ask him", the man she told me to ask had no mask on and was closing a door. i told him and he told me "we are closed" i repeated myself and he said "your gonna have to fix it yourself" i said i have tried for the past 15 minutes. he told me " i don know what to tell you. we're closed so try yourself" i'm definitely never coming back. this place sucks. been here before and the service just keeps getting worse. read more

Why can't my packages be left where I've requested? I have a covered porch area at my front door, which makes packages protected from weather,and not as easily seen from passersby. Instead, my carrier leaves packages at my garage door, which is not covered and in plain sight of everyone coming and going in the neighborhood. Last night I returned from work to see my box from the street, and it was wet because it started to rain earlier in the day! What good does going online to request delivery instructions, if the carrier doesn't follow them? I'm glad I was lucky enough to have not had the package stolen, and that the contents not damaged when the box got all wet! It's no more than 20 ft. more to leave a box at my front door as requested. This office is full of rude and unhelpful employees. I came in to exchange stamps that I bought from a Lawrenceville office, they told me I could exchange at any post office as long as all the stamps were present. When I got to the counter the girl must have been new because she pulled out her training book for help, the female employee next to her butted in and told me No Returns or Exchanges, all sales are final! I left and called customer service and was told I was able to exchange any retail product as long as it was unused and in tact. So I went back inside and got the same girl at the counter, she called her boss for help. Her boss came and told me the same thing-All Sales were final! When I told her I called customer service and was told something different, the employee was still hesitant but exchanged the stamp book after I threatened to call customer service in front of them. None of the employees know how to deal with the customers at this office. read more

I have only one complaint about service provided by the Suwanee Post Office and that is about the pickup service. They do a great job picking up the packages at my home however, they don't scan them. I sell on eBay and it is very important that the delivery confirmation barcode get scanned. I have talked to the clerks and even the manager about this more than once. The packages that are picked up don't get scanned at Suwanee and sometimes don't get scanned at the Atlanta Distribution Center either. I am now taking all of my shipment to the Post Office every day just to get the boxes scanned. The labels are printed with postage and they are ready to go but I have to stand in line to get them scanned. I have lived in 4 different locations and this post office is the ONLY one that can't seem to get this right. IF you live in Suwanee don't use the package pickup service. You will have no idea where your package is and if it gets lost you are out of luck because it was never scanned into the system. read more
